The only problem with the GT games is they make the tracks far too wide, They are far too easy. Graphics are stunning and the physics are improving greatly, but it just needs to be HARDER.

The best and hardest driving "Sim" is Richard Burns Rally, the best physics ever employed in a driving game bar none.

for the most part, ur supposed 2 race like real races, which means no drifting

Yes you can, But the Physics in GT5 Make it much different from real life to make it simple, this is how you'd really do it...

Step on the brake, shift the gearbox, FLOOOOOOOOOOOR it, Pull the Emergancy brake, turn the other direction and drift baby!

Not true, it depends on the settings, can you drift in real life without grip tires? If you set the settings correct your able to counter steer well enough if you have slick tires. This is a proven fact, it just shows how realistic GT5 can be, I mean you can't just jump into a car and start using the emergency brakes thinking you're able to drift easily right?

You are absouloutly right, if you have a car with more rear end power, and slick tires, you can drift, I'm saying that as a default, because thats whats placed in the music video/ gameplay. Such as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evouloution IX. If you consider the settings you'd put to your car, and the directions I posted, it should be pretty reiliable!

it is possible. Some cars turn the power all the way to the rear to do this with a YAW Control like in the Mitsu EVO.

@julian0506 it is possible....just instead of getting most of power to the front wheels ( ex, the EVO ), get the power in the back, like 30-70% ( front and back), although you can break the drive axle because the engine of the evo is transversal

as the impreza has an engine as the power going straight to the rear wheels, it will be easier to drift

My bf could do it all he has to do is get the right car. Iv even done it little with mine and its a 2008 honda fit and I shifted on it on tight turns, felt it doing it so I know it was. I didnt have right car but I shifted little.

I will agree GT2 was the best gran turismo out of all in the series. GT3 and GT4 were just great down falls at least to me i played FM2 and that definetly risen the bar maybe graphicly it wasen't a marvel but it definetly broke my interest with GT. GT5 looks great but why are they making a big deal that now they have ferrari, you should have ferrari. how about porsche or are we going to get ruf again. and the ai of the cars and the controls better be up to par with FM2.

No Damage...he is saving this for GT6...Every GT has had breakthroughs...Dual shock, more cars, online play etc...Every GT is taking a step, the next GT (6) will have damage! GT5 developers will have a system inplace where they can release cars, so the efforts from makign cars will be put to damage!
