@bogdan1231 Depends on what they would be used for, i doubt square gears are used at all, (wel perfectly square ones wont even work, ever, these have a sligth nudge in the center sides), but the advantage of irregular shaped gears is that you can have rotation speed variations on a single set of gears , hope that answered your question?
