I would love to know how long it took him to start talking? I had a parakeet that live 10 years and could say pretty birdie and made lots of sounds around the house; microwave buttons, doorbell, etc.

How did you get him to say BIRDS CANT TALK? GET ME A BEER? Sounds very similar to the cd i bought off ebay and i followed it step by step and my parrot dont talk for tish! Any suggestions? Awesome bird by the way! He is very smart how old is he?

Thanks! Curtis is two and a half years old. He'll pick up most anything. I wouldn't waste your time with the ebay stuff - if your bird hears it enough, they'll repeat it mostly likely. Also (I'm told - i'm no expert) some grey's don't talk at all.

He'll come around, I assure you. When he bites, tell him NO, don't get excited - look bored, put him in his cage. Whatever you do, don't let the bird's bite condition you into any response. It'll take some time, but should work.
