Would be quite an eerie feeling, considering what happened there only 6 and a half decades ago - within a human lifetime, so still in the recent past. It's also strange to think that Hitler and the 3rd reich are in a way responsible for the chain of events that lead to my birth (if they hadn't invaded, the Soviets wouldn't have advanced, if they hadn't, my Estonian family wouldn't have fled to Germany, Grandparents wouldnt have met, and thus, I wouldn't be here). o.O

My grandad was on Juno Beach. I visited there with him. He was with the North Shore (New Brunswick) Regiment.
