ì'm lebanese from batroun or ( Botrys in phoenician ) it's a very old christian  city on the beach in north lebanon , it's divided the upper one ( new Batroun ) is all villas and the old on the beach ( very relaxing and relatively cheap ) comparing to Beirut

the biggest open air party in the middle east happens in Batroun each year

i'm actually lebanese , i live here , thanks for pointing out the good things here , most people would say how bad it is and how we're always at war , try to see the mountain if you're to come again it's a completely traditional way of life , which i love.

This is a great video. Lebanese people are proud of their heritage, as well they should be. My parents are from Ain Arab-My father always told me how beautiful Lebanon was before the wars. Too bad there's so much destruction to the city, I'd love to visit some day.

@bigacxel - La Plage is a swimming club on the corniche - about 20 US Dollars to get it for the day

@bigacxel - La Plage is on the corniche in Beirut near the hotel where Hariri was assassinated. It's a swimming club.

Just to clarify something, Hamas aren't in Beirut, they're in Gaza. Beirut has Hezbollah.
