To all the people saying it's sarcasm, while it is how we generally think of sarcasm, it's still technically Irony. I think it's stupid, but there isn't really much we can do about it. What we think of as Irony most of the time is technically called situational irony.

I was taught this in english claass last year. I still think it's stupid though.
