I just love how products in commercials can somehow instantly solve all of life's problems! "Mom! My friend slipped me some LSD at the party tonight and I'm having a bad trip!" "Well, looks like you could use some COUNTRY TIME LEMONADE."
Does anyone remember that episode of "The Simpsons" when Martin hemmed up a little Shelbyville child to a tree, and the little child explained to Martin: "This is Country Time lemonade mix. There's never been anything close to a lemon in it--I swear!"
Some of you people and your disgusting comments. People sure grew to be scum. They turn everything nice into something crude. Sure was better in the past.
I like the part where the grandma comes out with the tapwater that she poured dishwashing liquid into on the nice tray and served it like it was a beverage.
no plates no insurance, a simpler time when lemonade was squeezed from real lemons. its like granma used to make... if your granma is a 10 thousand pound machine that mixed sugar malto dextrinmagnesium dioxide calcium fumarate tocopherol etc.
Does'nt it seem just a little unfair that the boy was so frustrated about getting the motorcycle to work, and when it finally did his little sister got to ride it?
As a matter of trivia, the prosecuting attorney in the same episodes was played by Mike Road, the voice of Race Bannon on The Adventures of Jonny Quest!
"Country Time Lemonade-flavored Drink Mix", just how any teenage boy would refer to it. ;)
I just found out on IMDB that longtime character actor Harry Holcombe played grandpa in these commercials. I remember him well from Leave It to Beaver (as Whitey Whitney's dad) and several other 60s sitcoms.
Haha, that stuff is so unhealthy. Look at the ingredients. Less than 2% natural flavour. Corn syrup, yellow dye, preservatives... Btw, this commercial cost 4 billion dollars to make in 1978.
Country Time Lemonade!!! I miss that Lemonade flavor!! It's been 11 years since I haven't had a glass of Country Time Lemonade. I wish it could be found in French Supermarket Shelves. Living France is not easy at all.
When I was a kid, we used to joke about how the "Country Time Grandpa" used to pee in the lemondade, which was why he laughed & smiled so much when his grandkids whined, "Grandpa, I'm hot & thirsty!".

I always thought it was weird that Mom brought the Country Time canister out along with the lemonade.

Dunno about you, but even though I love this commercial, it's still weird to have a commercial for lemonade with a "WC" in the corner.

Country Time lemonade flavored drink mix! Tastes like good old-fashioned lemonade.
That wouldn't sell today.

The product is still on the shelves, but I don't think they bother with commercials any longer.
IMO Country Time always tasted a little weak - I preferred Kool-Aid lemonade.
