This movie was good, only because it didn't have any of the actual characters in it. Why does that make it good? Because in the sequels, they have the actual characters, and they all are wimps, suck at fighting, are stupid, are useless, and have to always have their asses saved by Jedi Alice. At least this movie wasn't trying to throw in random shit from the games to appease fans and then royally screwing it up to boot.

when resident evil first came out i thought wow stars zombie dogs and the mansion but into a film and what did we get blond bimbo characters we have no clue about and a location thats not even simuler to game not even a tyrant nothing this is not resident evil just a film that has bits and bobs Paul W anderson i hope ur happy next time u make a game based film STICK TO THE GAME AND NT WHAT U THINK WOULD LOOK COOL >:( !!!!!!

As a fan of both the movie and game, I say That yes this should have been a new original movie not with The copying of the Game, and yes Alice should be in the movies, NOW The characters from the game have a Super being on there side. Or the movie could be even more entertaining by showing Claire finding Sherry and Leon finding Ada... but most importantly, I wanna see a charcter die. :o Don't care who just someone with significance. It is a "horror" action film. *cough* Ada

@InfidelAdvocate i agree sooo much with you man!...i actually found a script that George A Romero wrote about resident evil based on the MANSION! and i read the whole thing and it was soo fuckin great. he had Richard Forrest Kenneth Barry Jill Chris Rebecca everyone even added some new ppl in there..and it was soo good idky they denied it and made this shit..i swear they shoulda jus let Romero do his cause he would have done RE2 RE3 jus like the games!

How can I be WRONG in stating that since I had no knowledge of the game/characters/storyline, i enjoyed the film?

I DID find it fun, and I DID enjoy it, whether you are able to grasp it or not...sorry if that annoys you or something, but I liked the direction/FX/characters, it was an enjoyable experience for ME...this has nothing to do with 'wrong' or 'right' it's pure opinion.(?)

From 5:00 to about 5:25, that music is awesome. I've looked everywhere for it, but even the soundtrack doesn't have it.

Oh, and this is a pretty awesome scene. Great "hero" moments with the Alice and Matt chracters.
