Halo 2 was a great game because of the variety of things there were to do.

I was a bouncer,but when those got boring you could play matchmaking, you could launch and glitch, you could play custom games,and you could combine stuff like bouncing/glitching in matchmaking or custom games. Its better than halo3 because there were many more things you could do than matchmaking and custom games and forge(which was probably the best part of halo 3).They were both great games but halo 2 had more variety

Nah he's probably using a program similar to xbconnect. It's basically a program that confuses the system link search so it's not actually searching for another system, but it's searching over the internet. Quite amazing really, you can do this for Halo 3 and such without Xbox live gold.
