  • @sns413 Well, it takes 1 year to get definition on your chest with normal genetics, if you're overweight even longer. Hang in there and keep up what you're doing.

  • The BEST way to get rid of fat: REMOVE SUGAR FROM YOUR DIET, do exercises EVERY DAY(sit ups, push ups). I lost 13 kilograms in a few weeks time, not lying. I started doing this on my own just because I didn't know who can I trust on the internet when it's to body shaping and losing weight!

  • People, don´t waste your time on these video´s promising you this and that. Fact: everything works, for a while. Forget machines, use free weights, do compound movements for the most, and a few isolation where it´s needed (ex rear deltoid) Fact: You can do ALL the "great" programs you want, but none of them will take you were you want unless you have a great diet that goes with it. You won´t gain ANY mass without great nutrition. Push-ups will ONLY tone your body, NOT mass!.

  • @pikken01 @pikken01 I agree with almost everything you said, but I believe pushups can build mass. Most people only think about the basic floor pushup but what about divebombers, suspended, decline, and one arm pushups? If you get in the right rep range with the right tension, you can still build muscle. More importantly, how about weighted pushups with a vest or weighted backback? They work for me anyway, but i am by no means huge, but they will build strength. just my 2 cents :)

  • @pikken01 Not as fast as those free-weights you are talking about! But you know isolating one muscle at a time is not really functional exercise! Guys lift weights and can't do pull ups, push ups, etc. effectively. If that's all you do (weights) you are only building MIRROR muscles. You will never use ONE muscle to do anything naturally! So you go ahead with your free weights and get inflated if you want, this builds true strength. If you want iso try ISOMETRICS with your push ups.

  • @swing133 Well, i would suggest that you first think about your goal!. Do you want to loose, gain weight?. This is very important, because what and how mush you eat, is what truly takes you to your goal, not the training in itself. Since i don´t know your goal i will just list some great foods you need.

    Lean meat, pork, fish, poultry

    Fish oil, olive oil, nuts (peanuts, almonds)

    Vegetables, fruits

    Eggs, whole grain pasta / brown rice

    beans (any kind) and lentils

    Cereal (oatmeal w. no sugar)

  • @pikken01 And then i would recommend to take protein powder in the morning, with some eggs / oatmeal to boost tha anabolic state, and a protein shake right after training. So once you have your goal in place, you have to calculate you bmr (calorie intake), your carbohydrate, and fats intake. If your goal is to pack muscle and mass, you have to know your calorie intake, and increase it by 300 - 500. So if your intake is 2800 calories a day, you should be around 3100 - 3300 a day to gain mass.

  • @pikken01 well, you seem knowledgable, I want to lose weight on my stomach but pack on mass muscle on my shoulders, arms and chest. My goal is to have a chisel chest, shoulders but lose the fat on my stomach, maybe into abs if that is possible. What type of exercise should I do and what food should I eat? Thanks.

  • @pikken01 Not always that's the case. There's always smart asses who say what you have to do, but, I went for 66.2kg to 40kg in less than a month of little workouts which I couldn't even do any good. I can eat what I want without going up in weight again...For some people it's all about getting outside and moving even though here it rains for 10 out of 11 months =D i can stay in shape with 1 workout and going outside each week ;)

  • @pikken01 fact push ups rule, any move done from 6-10 reps will give you most mass and calistenics will get you huge strong muscles: bar brothers, hanibal king ,calistenic kingz and others have never used weights, but nutrition is the most important part.

  • This is a isolation exercise,with this youl will only SHAPE your chest.

    If you want to build some muscle you need to do some coumpound movements such as dumbell bench press and inclide dumbell bench press.

    Im a bodybuilder so i know what im talking about, trust me.

  • @x0jacko0x It won't actually stunt your growth. Instead, it will make you less flexible, especially if you do not stretch before and after workout. It is a weight training myth.
