that mining shaft you saw in multiplayer, was it just open at the bottom? because if it was, then it was just a glitch when the server dosnt load a huge square chunk of blocks

@DarkNintendo2000 Yea, in reply to even, sometimes the chunks don't all load. All you have to do is reconnect.

There is ice in biomes, as well as snow on the ground.

The biomes work on a grid of temperature and humidity.

Higher humidity means more trees. Really low humidity means tundra with no trees at low temp, or desert at high temp.

There are two environments that can have snow and Icy water; Tundra with basically no trees, and Taiga, which is basically snowy forest.

Currently, snow still does not work in either biome, so if you dig snow or break ice it will not come back.

Minecraftwiki shows the scale on its biomes entry.

The mining shaft was a void. Its a glitch that happens in Multiplayer. To get rid of them just disconnect and connect again.

Horses are tamed by bread, wheat or apples, apples instantly tame a horse, But wheat and bread just help, you can tame horses WITHOUT bread or wheat but it bucks you off alot and can kill you

The bread chart is this:

- Light horses (1 bread or 4 wheat)

- Brown Horses (2 bread or 8 wheat)

- Black horses (3 bread or 12 wheat)

- Unicorns (4 bread or 16 wheat)

- Pegasus (5 bread or 20 wheat)
