  • @rbbpadre Huns and Dr Beeker - Ghost Town

  • man that so sad.. All those lost souls wondering not knowing what happen.

  • It is so horror....These firemen and workers trying to help ALL world....And USSR hide the truth from the rest of the world for what???? R. I. P to the heroes and people who died after that nuclear horror.............

  • this is very sad.

  • holy crap my birthdays on april 27.

    o.O

this is very sad to hear and see.

  • I can't say a word that has never spoken yet, so don't take my question as a provocation.

What's the title and the composer of the song?

  • Ghost Town by Huns & Dr. Beeker. It is shown in the beginning of the video.

  • Thank you ;-)

  • OMG so terrible, i cant imagine the government tries to hide thid kinda stuff,

so many people died in a burn, explotion, or any other thing god thanx for the vid, and that song is pretty sad =(

  • its disturbing to see the government fail its people but unfortunately it is no suprise from behind the iron curtain, i dont understand why it takes so much loss of life to get people to open their eyes

  • It's true, the Sarcophagus is very weak and could possibly collapse, but the consequences would be much worse than everyone first thinks. 21 years worth of highly radioactive particles being released into the atmosphere once again,

  • A news report in German TV said, that a while ago, the shell that was built around the destroyed reactor for guarding purpose was about to collaps and that a weaker version of the same incident would have occured if it did. Te report said that its still dangered to colaps and that the people working there are building a new shell for it. Is that true?

  • we CAN prevent it from happening again, too many lives have been ruined or lost to let this tradegy happen again, all of this happened because of the greediness of the soviet union not taking there safety test's before the reactor was operational because they wanted there energy faster:translation:lives lost/ruined over COMPLETE STUPIDTY AND IGNORANCE!!!!!!

  • I'm from Hungary and a few years ago, we had some kind of serious problem with our only powerplant too, which is very close to my home. We still don't know a darn thing about what happened. Fucking governments, always lieing to the people about everything.

  • You'll survive it.;).

  • Those countries with nuclear plants now have to be EXTREMELY careful or esle...

  • Really fucking damn GOOD!!! Thanks, respect those who lose their family or a family member in pripyat!!

  • fuck u if u knew the meaning behind the song u would understand until then shut the fuck up

  • Tell me why?

  • lifethejourney, you have a stupid fucking brain.

  • It makes me little sad to see all the people who lost their home or family members. great tribute to them!

  • People will be able to live there only in 300000 years when finally town will be cleared of radiation. who knows what will be in that point of time....

  • So very sad. It must have been really scary to be someone living Pripyat at the time the reactor exploded and not know what was happening.

  • Same reactor type is still quite near of Finland(where i live) in Sosnovyi Bor. Just thought of it gives me chills.

  • exported reactors have additional Safety. don't be afraid;)

  • right now i saw the bull shit what i wrote. sorry;)

  • By the way, it's written in video @ 0:30-> ;)

  • Song Name? pls help

  • huns & dr beeker - ghost town

  • Thx

  • Thx

  • Great song, im really moved... I hope this wont happen again...

  • That won't be the last time to see tragedy like that. Those powerplants are all over the earth.

  • yeh like little zits ready to pop...

  • Poor people that survived it... They all have cancer and stuff... I cryed....

  • best video i've seen on youtube...

LET US NEVER FORGET THE MEN WHO DIED OVER THERE...

so sad it made me cry for 10 minutes after the end of the video.

  • Really sad,

though have to say that song got really repetitive but still good.

  • 50,000 people used to live here now its a ghost town

  • is sad to see than these rely hapend there, is not a videogame is not a film, is sad to see more and mor of those big radiation machines in this world , owers world.

  • Huns and Dr.Beeker are trying to make us see how we can prevent this from ever happening again.

They're singing about the horros that happened after the incident.

  • Ghost city forever(((

  • Tragedy...But the bigger tragedy is that nobody told to those people what happened. Did you see protective clothes or sometheing else which can minimize the radiation? No one from USSR wanted help from other countries...

  • explode 180 tonns of molten nuclear fuel!!!

  • wow, thats sad

    a nuclear plant exploded?

  • Yes, exploded...And here-in Bulgaria no one told us that is better to stay at home for couple of days. I heard by BBC(it was not legal radio in 1986). This is the REAL tregedy-no information for nobody

  • In Hungary they lied about it (of course, they alway lied). They didn't told man about the nuclear clouds, about the poisonos rain. Unfortunately the wind blown the radiation west and east, to East-Europe. And in Ukraine there are more and more are diagnosed with cancer.

  • dude who sang this?

  • huns & dr beeker - ghost town (for the victims of chernobyl)

  • i don't think that anyone will ever be able to live in pripyat, and chernobyl. what tehyhad in that reactor when it blew up had very long half-lifes. like a certian part of uranium found in every reactor has a half-life of 700 million years. i don't think anyone is going to see taht town without radation suits.

  • @chernobyl59 Living in Pripyat is forbid by the law of Ukraine, but in Chernobyl (town, not in NPP) has a gas station, bar, restaurant and Info. You have to be 18 years old to enter. If my english is bad, it´s maybe that I am from Finland.

  • The new safe confinement should be built soon and then they will dismantle the old shelter within the new cover , and then start to clean up the remains of the reactor which will take years.

The sad thing is that the USSR were aware that the reactor at chernobyl was unsafe but they took no notice of the warnings and rushed the building of the 4th reactor and look what happened it exploded with countless innocent lives lost as a result. Rest in peace to all those who died.

  • dude if i was that guy i would euvalcated the town without thinking twice. And there is still a lot of people alive from that radation they were exposed too. they are just slowly dieing of radation posining. sad very sad.

  • Did you see all these people the day after the explosion? Why nobody told them about danger? And how many of them are still alive. The kids...I am not talking for brave people who tried to stop the radiation. R.I.P to all

  • it's very sad :'(

  • How fast can we kill ourselves>?????

  • sad

  • You should Wikipedia this, They're updating us on the story. Something about.. Covering the tomb of the reactor 4 with a more reliable thing in early 08.

  • are they really ghosts also that ,that kid at 5:02 has like 2 heads?

  • Blacksea Region of Turkey is still infected too. This region has the highest cancer rate in Turkey.

  • why do you have

    1 video.

    why!

  • i survived my family ran to moscow im oroginally from kiev

  • what is singer/album? I remember that accident very good, sad...

  • Huns and Dr. Beeker - Ghost Town

  • I remember that that I was in Istanbul. That was horrible. We could`t find anything for do something. You just can run away from that.

I love Internet, we are able to share knowledges and experiences. We found a lot different kind of type energy and collect them.

    no limit

    for wants and dreams

    tell them

    for create future

  • Very Sad, Indeed

  • I remember 1986-in my country Bulgaria no one told us about radiation and about Chernobil. My mother heard for this from BBC radio(in those years was illegal to listen it)Ana what-nobody talked for this neither in 1986 nor now. In those days I stayed only at home but other people? When we will know the whole the truth about Chernobil????

  • Sad thing was they told them when they were evacuating that the would only have to leave for a few short days, they had no idea they would never return...

  • I think that this was the one incident that started the fall of the USSR, not the cold war mumbojumbo. It exposed how precarious conditions in the soviet block were. they took so long to sound the alarm, to evacuate. 4 years after the explosion they still operated the remaining reactors... we need our "clean energy" right.

  • this is stunning with the sound off.

  • Very touching, but more poetry than fact, go on wikipedia and look up Elena Filatova, and read the article on her, to see what i mean.

  • wikipedia is not a reliable source of information. no peer review board reviews any of the articles.....

  • 1) It has been proven Elena went on tours instead of going alone, but it doesn't matter the pictures are all real nontheless

    2) Nobody goes around wikipedia to change all the articles to be slanderous

  • A little God's Sign to Gorbachev and his Party.

  • Man, to think that in 86 humans had this kind of power harnessed. And to think 21 years later what we are capable of now. In my opinion we seek how to do things more than how to maintain them. To think that it will be hundreds of years that this will be a ghost nation basicly. It's hard to believe this is on earth. It's almost like a planet that was abandoned at times.... because of the size of the area

  • Best video i view,insuported. :(

  • touching

  • I cried when I saw this, I'm very against nuclear, but what song is this? It's beautiful, and fit this perfectly,

    Thanks for posting....

  • It's only when as poorly maintained as that facility was Nuclear power's a threat. Properly maintained and run stations are one of the cleanest forms of energy.

  • Yeah, did a lot of research on it, and it might be a good alternative as long as they are kept up and properly employed.

  • Well, lorikano, they were running a test on the reactor and due to human error and a bad design of the reactor itself, it started to overheat and then meltdown and there was nothing that the people that worked there could do to stop it.

  • Not a single human error but many critical errors!

If they didn't do just 1 of the several error, the city of Pripyat may be still a living city.

  • The test was the main key to the explosion of the reactor itself: they decided to alter the cooling system of the reactor to do the said test, and such action provoked the meltdown and explosion of it.

  • +3 that is truth

  • can any1 explain how this explosion did rely happened ,wikipedia was dificult to understand

  • 2 many noobs working on it, that all.

  • There were many techinal errors in the building. And then it was decided to test the emergency systems, by shutting down the cooling systems and watch how long it takes for them to get back up.

  • Nuclear weapons are the ultimate , if the explosion doesn't kill you ,the radiation will................

  • ha ha ha idiot >.< wtf is funny here?

  • ha ha ha owned

  • are you stupid?

  • NOEL VOUS OWNED

  • what a great song! what a terrible mistake of one man.

  • It was a combination of factors that caused Chernobyl. Simplistic to blame one person.

  • that sounded like R.E.M lol

  • wow what kind of idiot had made that song?

  • A truly sad video but this is the truth. So many people are still suffering from this tragedy - its just unbelievable and sad.

  • Yeh, it still has such an impact, just cause its passed through Jeans and such forth, truly a horrific event. Good video

  • It's a thoughtful reminder of how frail we are and the courage we have to withstand tragic circumstances. My thoughts go out to those who died or remain courageous with their day to day burdens.

  • Fucking USSR!!! In this country people were nothing!

There were 4 reactor and 2 more was designed and redy for bulid, after the 1986 build stoped. One reactor was workin still to 2000.

  • its wery sad its make me cry...

  • This Earth can't stand us anymore.... sad

  • Heroes they were heroes they are and heroes they will be!!!for the rest of the time shit with the USSR the fireman know what was going there? VERY SAD FOR THE PEOPLE THAT DIED AND ARE DIEING FROM THE CHERNOBYL ACCIDENT

  • "The Humans where born to kill themselves"

  • this is very interesting but sad i would like to visit that place sometime

  • what? and get irradiated??! are you crazy!

  • no it ain't that dangerous now so you can go there

  • People do go there sometimes. The radiation dissipated, things like car shells still give off a lot, but if you're in the middle of the road on a motorbike as one person who made a photo diary did was, you're fine. Best not to breathe the dust in though.

  • Well thouse boys did what they had to do.If they did not sacruvise them selves now Urope whud be unhabital.

  • The liqiodators were real heroes!

  • sad to look at this. my mom's uncle died there

  • this makes me cry

and not only for the people like most do poor pets!

  • MY icqc is 469-823-349 please contact me ..im czech and this song is very sad :'(

  • dirty racist fucking jew, you need to be smashed

  • great song... thx 4 this video, really... and pls what is name of this song? can u send me it to my mail ??? thx ...

  • It was the worst disaster in history of nuclear reactors.

  • Today is the 21st anniversary of the meltdown. :(

  • its was not an eror it was that the workers left the reactor working whike they went out for some other employers party or maridge if I am not wrong.

  • I was a security test which went wrong combined with a construction error.

  • Magnifique.

  • toooooooo sad.........

  • What his song?

  • what his song?

  • the explosion was a human fault. nuclear power plants are extremly safe. They made bad dicisions. Turned off security, and didn't take care of common security orders.

Nuclear power is one of the most safe source of energy.

  • it was technology. Chernobyl cant be again because we know errors. I want more nuclear plants!!!

  • yes there are more than 4 chernobyl reactors in the ex-urss

  • it's so sad :(

  • yeah, that's right. The same technology

  • so sad it almost made me cry...

and tzztuiui: the cold war is over, get over that and think twice at what you're saying...

  • Of course it was horrible but you can't compare Tchernobyl to Western Nuclear Technology !

  • Don't ever forget! And the name of the song?

  • I m nor exacty sure about the name of the song, but I'm pretty sure its from Leonard cohen.

  • Nice music and video, thanks.

  • you need to slow down the subtitles or something because i had to rewind and pause just to read through them

  • plees never forget!!!

  • Thank you for such a video. It should be aired on national t.v. to remind us never to become complacent. The radioactivity from this circled the globe and has affected everyone, everything. Now, we have depleted uranium to add to this whole f'ing mess.

  • Never forget...
