he was originally code-named Storm, but his actual name is Noctis Lucis Caelum. He's the prince of a war torn kingdom that possesses the last crystal in existance. The other lands are hoping to get this crystal from him.

His name is 100% definitely true - I have the official book of the DK [sigma] 3713 party that square enix hosted. Unfortunately, it's all in Japanese, otherwise I'd be able to tell you a lot more ^__^

This will be for PS3 only... the only title so far coming out for PSP is Final Fantasy Agito XIII, which is one of the 3 games currently making up Final Fantasy Fabula Nova Crystallis (the name of the collection of the 3 FFXIII games - FFXIII, FF Versus XIII and FF Agito XIII) This video is of Vesus XIII, not Agito =]

Amazing song, though, isn't it?? You know the anime/manga mars? (maybe not but that doesnt matter) this is, I think, the theme song for the anime (either that or there's a live action series of it XDD)

yep, thats right. The guy in this one is from the game FF Versus XIII, though - so lightning and storm have nothing to with each other. Oh yeah, and loads of people thought that Storm was actually Cloud because of his hair! Seriously, their hair looks nothing alike! XD hahahaha but yeah, storm's hair is awesome.

Yeah, only, I thought the name of Storm was just a rumor. What I heard now is that his name is Noctis, the Latin word for night. ^^But yeah, his hair is totally cool. I'd probably kill to be him.

Anyway, I'm nearly certain that Storm will never be mentioned in the actual game - its just a given nickname (fan made I think too, through speculation) but Noctis sounds WAY more awesome anyway!!

Although, a lot of anime characters and people in video games seem to have hair that defy gravity, 0.o That reminds me of the Cloud song. ^^ I do like his name, although, Storm would have been really funny, since Cloud..and the fact that he sort of reminds me of a really awesome version of him.

Yeah, I think people guessed storm because of FF's obsession with weather based names (Cloud, Tidus = sun, Yuna = moon, Lightning etc etc)

Yeah, this guy is definitely like an awesome version of Cloud! Although, I still don't see how people mistook Noctis/Storm as Cloud XD I do see similarities... but not enough to confuse them XD

I can let you both in on a secret. the guy who made Cloud, Squall, Raine, Lighting is the same guy. he doesn't do it alone, but hes in charge of many of the projects. he always names his characters after weather.

i dont know if he worked on Noctis, though he might have becuase Noctis reminds me a lot of cloud, not just the hair, which doesnt look a lot like clouds, but the life style, living&fighting alone. hermit. Noctis sounds like night, but it could mean something else.

You mean Tetsuya Nomura? Yeah, I'm a huge fan of his work ^___^ And Noctis is Latin... (i think it is, I've forgotten now, it's been a while since I looked this up) for night.

Yeah, actually, outside the FF universe he names his characters, not necessarily after weather, but nature themed as well. Like Sora from KH means Sky, and Riku Earth...

And yeah, Tetsuya Nomura is behind Noctis.

But Cloud isn't in FF13 at all... that's not Cloud, it's "Storm" (unofficial nickname - real name is yet unknown). This guy is apparently a prince of a war-torn land. (Each numbered FF is a completely separate story from the other, unless it shares the same number or actually says that it's related in some way).
