thanks a lot it was not working for me and as i added -v i got the key , once again thanks if you had not put the comment here i was unable to load the map at all
Cananyone help me? When after getting md5 ceritifcate and api when I start my emulator and after installing my application in it... when my application is going to start suddently warning appears "process android.faisal.google stops unexpectdly" and I do know the reason... android.faisal.google is my src path...
everthing work well but when I start my application force close warning appears saying that process stopped unexpectedly... Why??
@BENNN121 After 'keytool', just write -v and you get SHA1 / MD5 Fingerprint. Example (cmd): D:\Java\bin keytool -v -alias GoogleMaps etc, etc. Good luck!
@bonamana90 I'm just started but that happens when some resource (image file or anything) has a wrong name, like with upper case or with - or with some symbol
holy shit!! finally i've got it working after 3 days straight.... eclipse wasnt generating any new keystores and only keeping my default keystore. Do not forget the PASSWORD FOR THE DEFAULT KEYSTORE IS "android"!!!!!! Great tutorial btw, one of the best on the web .
Hey, I just wanted to say that your tutorials are the best out there(on the Web) and that Im glad I found your channel!
Just a tip for the fingerprint: if you Right-Click in the cmd, it selects the whole text, and enables the selection of particular items (or words). Then you just select the fingerprint, hit ENTER (yeah thats right, ENTER not Ctrl+C) and paste wherever you want. I havnt tried @rufusmccooter's technique but that works as well :).
You can copy your MD5 from the command prompt by right-clicking anywhere in the command prompt and selecting Mark. Then simply double-click your MD5 code. It is now copied to your clipboard.
for all that encounter the same problem i did, if you're fingerprint is not accepted : MD5 is not SHA1, add -v after -list.
