Amazing stuff! But I still hold the early early ´90 as couple of notches higher. Not because the the music was any better (it really wasn´t with few exceptions like The Prodigy wit Wind it Up and Out of Space) but because that whole scene was born back then and everything was just new and mesmerizing. Clubing on a monday was unheard of in Sweden pre this era and all of a sudden it sort of became "manditory". Peace to all you out there who shared a dancefloor or a "bathroom" with me way back then

Most 90's dance was better than modern day stuff (certainly the last four or five years anyway)

@u4ealounge I agree. Nowadays dance music especially has a really 'tacky' sound whereas it used to be the best genre with nice melodies and intoxicating percusions and sounds. I dont think anyone will invest in it now bcoz theres no money to be made if people are downloading music

Basshunter just sucked on the tit of commercial dance that had been paved for by the likes of Alice Deejay, Wamdue Project and Ian Van Dahl..... Sash was one of the last who appeared kind of consistently in the charts yet hadn't just produced formulaic bollocks in order to get the latest paycheck from Ritzy heaven.

Plus he actually spun a mint set too - saw him in about 99, and expected all the classics of his, but there wasn't one - just a true underground trance set! Legend :D
