I was a teenager during the Bulls dynasty of the 90's and I thought the Jordan era was going to last forever, looking back now at how basketball is today it makes me appreciate what I was able to witness so much more and really miss the greatness of those days.
Im gonna miss basketball this year due to the lockout. I really miss the old Bulls announcers, obviously Red died but theyre voices were perfect for the Bulls.
I'm 16 so I've never watched a game from this period but I gotta say I am amazed at how well Jordan played. I know that people always call him the GOAT (greatest of all time) but until now I didn't truly understand what that meant. Of course, I haven't seen all the other greats but this was fantastic. Oh and btw, Curry can SHOOT!
See that half time score..62-59...in todays no talent league that is the end of the 3rd quarter score at best!!! And for those of you who say there was no defense being played remember this is right after the Bad Boy Jordan rules Pistons and right into the Knicks thuggish era..the difference is era and the 80's before is guys could shoot the ball! These were basketball players not just athletes. I cant stand to watch the NBA its just entertainmentball and dunk or nothing "athletes" shooting 35%
somewhat false description - after all MJ averaged 32.6 ppg this season - he was disinterested? wow - if he was he is by far the greatest player ever - he averaged 32.6 ppg and was disinterested? please - MJ=GOAT
This may have been the weakest team of the 1st three-peat Bulls. Paxson and Cartwright were on the down slide or finished. King and McCray were useless. Hodges, Hansen, and Levingston were gone. MJ had to play major mins. in '92-'93 after a grueling '91-'92 season, where everyone was gunning for the Champs, and the summer Olympics.
This may have been the weakest team of the all the Bulls championship teams.
That last dunk was hilarious because it seemed like he was being a smartass by imitating the way 'Zo and LJ would always yell after they dunked...lol!
didnt he has one or two more facial dunks on mourning at the same season while they were playing at charlotte?
anyway great upload and description. you are right he was all buniness that year. he also seemed slightly slower that season too, with a lot more fadeaway and mid range shots.
i think somehow his moves in the 94-95( some of them reminds me of the pre-93 mj) season was a little more spectacular than the 95-96, even he was a lot more consistent in the latter one.
@popeyeisgood I agree. Even though he was erratic and not quite himself in 1995 at age 32, he was more like his pre retirement self. In 1995-96 onwards he was less about the dunk and more about his jumper.
He was a smart player he understood father time holds off for no one n he wanted to last not fade so he focused mire on his shooting ability

Jordan dunked on Mourning like 5 or 6 times that season iirc, both at Charlotte and Chicago.
