There is no true recoil on these launchers. The reason for this is that nothing is resting on the shouler. I man the barrel jumps etc. but that is the science behind a projectile being launched from a tube. Since you mean felt recoil...that is what I went with. The AT4 has something pressed on the shoulder and I believe that it does have a kick(from my discussion with a Marine Friend). But recoil shouldnt be a factor in your shooting. When ur heart is pumpin fast u dont even feel it.

Actually your wrong murder302. The Abrams tank armor was built strong enough to take hits from 3-4 missle or tank shells from other tanks. The only way to destroy an Abram is though the bottom or behind the turret. Both cases are unlikely. The Abram tanks are some of the best tanks on the battlefield. Not a lot of tanks in the world could match up to it.

T-64 is WAAAAAY old... But: you can take out an abrams by the top.. As any tanks. But about the other sides armor: old M1a1 was designed to have double armor, and it has air between it..Cumulative rocket hits the first, pre-detonation tears a small hole, and the melted,hot metal from the warhead sprays inside, taking care of remaining centimeters of armor, and its heat, and gas, and remaining spray kills anybody inside..

BUT: this takes the m1a1's FIRST armor plate..melted metal expands in the air between the two sides of the double armor,and inner armor merely have a scratch..This "onion type"XD armored,modern tanks(UK,French,German modrn tanks also)cannot be taken by cumulative type rockets,only by those BIIG fckn monsters, designed to take out double armored tanks(doesnt know the technology)but you can disable an abrams many ways with an RPG7,but CANNOT penetrate its armor,even with bigger cumulative rockets.

there was an abrams in iraq reportedly taking 50 rpgs and it still functioned properly. danyil23 is right. however, i am pretty sure that the treads, at least on the m1a1 & a2, are resistant to small arms fire, including .50 BMG. also, i may be wrong, but if you know of our current AT4 rocket launcher, i believe that is capable of disabling an abrams with one hit, and a javelin can most certainly disable near any tank as long as the missile functions properly.

Lol M1's treads being rubber(if im not mistaken) would not be resistant to bullets for long. If you are firing proper .50 cal bullets im sure you can eventually take out the treads, its a matter of practicallity though. How long are you willing to sit and shoot at an Abrams? Lol i wouldnt wanna take more than 1 shot cause then u get blasted. RPGs and such could do the trick, but also gotta think about the driver. If you disable the vision you disable the tank. They will take small arms fire, AK47s and on up to the bigger LMG rounds(7.62 x 51mm). Its when you get up to the .50 that they have special rounds designed to fire high velocity incendiary rounds. Those however are expensive and about out of reach of the haji we are usually attacking. And im sure .50 cal guns are hard to come by on the black market. Plus try shooting that without getting spotted lol. You were partially right. I wasnt specific enough though.

to be honest I don't remember I know we had to screw the propellant on the back of the RPG I know we recieved a lot of different types during a raid. Some of the RPG's had such sensative fuses they had to be blown in place the one's okayed by E.O.D we used for training.
