I Have ran both Curotto and the Pac I would say the Pac by far is and all around better unit less mess and less down time do to broken parts and not to mention they have a great customer

service department.

Cycle times are similar 10 seconds for a complete cycle. Less time (like 4 seconds) depending on the cart position relative to the PAC. Extension and retraction are not necessary when the cart is within a close range.

Sorry for the delay, the cycle times are the same. For a full extension, grab, retract/dump, extension and release is 10 seconds or so. Drivers have gotten less with practice and the location of the cart in relation to the PAC. The closer the cart, the less time.  In addition, the extension and retraction are not necessary when the cart is within close range.

Auto9898, I agreed and that is why the current cans are about 5 feet tall. Total capacity is now in the range of 3.5 to 4 yards. Good eye!

I'm not sure if Curotto or Heil were first to put an automated system on a FL can. Perkins has been placing semi-automated systems on FL cans for decades. We have been working on the automated FL systems for 6 years - our goal was a system that could be retrofitted on a FL AND Manual Side Loader. Our MSL model, the PAS (Perkins Automtated SideLoader) uses the same lifting and extension design, but mounts to the chassis/body instead of the carry can.

At first glance it may appear so, but it has proven to be very reliable, compact, less weight and easier to maintain. All pivotpoints are roller bearings in machined casings for durability and strength. If you want a demonstration, call us and a unit can be made available.

Interesting use of 'scissor lift' mechanism, looks a little more complicated than the Curotto Can

Thanks for the comment. They both have the same cycle time of 8-10 seconds. The advantages are less weight, substantially less cost, Perkins history, serviceability. perkinsmfg dot com
