War zone still happens on raw but they don't do a new intro or say anything all I see is on the graphics when someone nameplate it says RAW Zone when at the first hour i just said Raw

in 1997, Monday Night RAW was in Hour One for the more younger audience, then WarZone came on in Hour Two for the true Attitude Era stuff.

@DanielH8Club That's not the reason for War Zone. The reason was because of money. The second hour of Raw got higher ratings than the first hour, so they "split" the show up and gave them two different names so that the network could charge more for advertising time during the second hour which got higher ratings. The first hour was not anymore edgy than the first hour. And they still use the same tactic today. Notice the lower-third graphic for Raw says "Raw Zone" on it during the second hour.

@narky123 War zone was the 2nd hour to Raw. It was changed to the Raw Zone due to the Monday Night War ending. Now that has been dropped and now it's just called Raw. Damn shame. Bring back War Zone

@poeticpoverty @narky123 To be further specific... It's a technical trick WWE uses to gauge viewership from the 1st hour to the second... Since they're listed as two separate programs they get individual ratings for each hour. Dunno what exactly they do for the third hour on select Raw shows.
