So i got the bike running (sort of) and i cant get it to stay running i cleaned the carb and i got a half lap around a tennis court but ever since then it just goes for a milla second but before i cleaned the carb i couldnt go anywere but it would run for about 2 minutes so what should i do
Hi, WOW, The pictures of the bike in this video, The ones that show it with all the lights on. Is that the same GT 80 you contacted me about? If so it looks like you got the wiring harness figured out? Awsome looking bike. I got the service manual for mine and a parts list that shows all the explodes views. I am finding it to be very helpful. Great fun little bikes! You should keep that bike, you have a great pice of Yamaha history. Good Luck with everything, and take care, flydox : )
hahaha nah thats not mine sorry haha. i just stuck that in there so you know what its meant to look like. the very last pic is how mine looks(minus the speedo). i dont have a service manual. the bike has 0 compression but only just runs. so now i just use my new bike.
well im around 5'3 - 5'4. height dont really matter. these bikes are small but its all really about your weight. its always going to move you but its not going to win races if your on the fatter side of the scale.
ummm just wondering were do u ride and iam not a stalker or any thing but do u live in melbourne?....and nice bike sounds sweet...i ve also got a 1981 yamaha yz 80 i took it to the frankston dirt bike track it was great but i nearly blew the engine. my dad has it in peices in our garage. :)
haha what happend?? i have just started to notice when it is reving high i can hear a knock (rod knock, piston knock??) but i dont think its that bad. i have done a few things and it is running like a charm at the moment which is good

@blazenscarecrow wouldnt have a clue, dont have it anymore.
it certainly isnt a race bike. probally hits about 70-90km/h.
