Did you treat the termites before you repaired the wood rail?

In this case, I did not. On other parts of the deck, I did treat the termites before. I used a can of termite spray from the local hardware store. The can of poison came with a small rubber hose and needle type pin that was inserted into the hole where the termites were pushing the debris out. The spray may kill the termites.
