@twistedkarm It seriously depends on a few things, what kind of sound your going for, what things your going to use it for and the big one.. how much money do you have to spend.
The mini-moog or the voyager is great and is a total classic, but its expensive and its a mono-synth.. in other words you can only play one note at a time.
Im a guitar player that does a variety of things including engineer/produce/ and compose electronic music.

There's something just magical about these old synths that new ones cannot match up to. I hope to one day get a great catch like a moog for myself one day. The sound they produce is one-of-a-kind.
always loved the sound that Moogs were capable of. Grew up in India were bagpipes were used by the local Police Force. Indians will do anything for a few rupees and my dad used to bribe a band to ring in the New Year. Dunno if sawtooth and inverse LFOs and VCS3s were in the mind of the guy who attached a bladder to a reed and some chanters let alone portamento.Just a great noise is all.Good demo by a guy who obviously loves this bit of kit
i dont much understand much about what all the nobs are supposed to do on this keyboard are suppposed to do. im very interested in the minimoog and it would be of great help!! reply to this comment or email me. thanks!
@PAULisDEADMANnumber9 If this video doesn't give you an idea of what the knobs do, I have many other videos which go much more in depth with other synthesizers. I'd encourage you to watch them if you're interested in learning about synthesis!
@gfig3 Ha ha, yes and no. But mostly yes. The oscillators don't offer sine as an option, but you can use the filter to wear the points off of the triangle waves. It's not a true sine wave, but it'll do in a pinch. So, that's the no. The yes is the fact that you can push the filter into self-oscillation and set the filter "keyboard" switches to full, resulting in the keys controlling the filter cutoff, and essentially making the self-oscillation sine wave play the appropriate pitches. Yes!
@_@ there is no "init patch" button... It would drive me mad to undo every single knob t urn when I created a new sound. Surely there is an easier way to revert changes you've made to sounds?
@bigbagron Nope. There are none of those conveniences, but the tradeoff is that you don't have the limitations that digital patches apply to analog synths. The good news is that with time, effort, skill, and a bit of talent, you learn the language of the synth. This means that you know (and remember) how to make any sound pretty quickly. With the right amount of time, it's like using your voice. You don't think, you just do.
@AutomaticGainsay I understand :) It takes true passion and understanding! Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to get my hands on one of these beauties.
I notice on my mini that the Triangle and Sawtooth Triangular waveforms are lower in volume than the rest, is that common or is there something wring with my moog?
I notice on my mini that the Triangle and Sawtooth Triangular waveforms are lower in volume than the rest, is that common or is there something wring with my moog?
Hello Marc. Your videos are fantastic! So informative and interesting to watch. I have been inspired by these youtube clips to do my own demos (slightly less refined). Check out the link on my page if you fancy. Its a demo of the Moog Source which is a fantastic synth! Arp Odyssey to follow if this proves to be a success.
@AutomaticGainsay Glad you liked the Moog Source demo! Let me know if your band is playing in the UK again. I would definitely come to a gig. I will try and get round to putting the Odyssey demo on. It has an interesting tone to it with the 12db filter. Are you familiar with that? I presume the 2600 timeline with the various different filters matches with the Odyssey. I owned a later one and the difference in character is very noticible. Thanks again for all the vids.
@theoriginaldanalogue If I'm lucky enough to get back to playing in the UK, I'll let you know! If your Odyssey is 12dB, it must be the white-face! I've always wanted one of those!
@AutomaticGainsay Great - look forward to it! Its actually a black face. Supposedly the mk1 ran from 72-75 but in 74, they changed to black and gold. It is a mk1 though as the model number is a 2800. It is sonically identical to the white face but appearance wise it is identical to the mk2 (which I used to have), apart from the on/off switch which is smaller and more flimsy! Slightly later mk2's had the ppc controllers and at some point the moog filter...
@AutomaticGainsay ...This is what I have read up and based on what the technician who serviced it and then sold it to me said. I might be incorrect though. It does sound very different to the mk2 I used to have. More aggressive but a little thinner around the sub. Mind you, they were never that bassy. Thats a job for the moog! Perfect combination in my mind. Highly recommend getting an Ody. I think the ring mod and fm features are its forte. Will let you know when the vid goes up.
@getreadytowiggle1991 Well, I suppose the only con is that you can't play chords, but no one ever complains that a saxophone or bass guitar can't play chords. You don't need to play chords to play expressive music or make cool sounds. And, if you want to make chords, you can always multitrack the synth. A multitracked Minimoog sounds better than ANY polyphonic synth... quite a statement, I know... but I'll stand behind it. : )
@fabianidhesona Okay, if you want to play chords on a bass guitar, especially one with more than 4 strings, obviously, you can. Still... the width of bass strings doesn't make it ideal for polyphonic playing.
@getreadytowiggle1991 It is "low-note priority," which is to say that it plays the lower of the two notes. When you lift your finger from the lowest note, it'll immediately play the higher note. This is a staple of monophonic playing, especially when portamento is engaged.
@AutomaticGainsay Yes...That's why any decent digital synth (even the sample based ones) has monophonic as an option. I can remember when I was a little younger, and all that my keyboards had was poly, and no portamento! Portamento and glide add so much to a synth. Even the big polysynths of the 80's had mono and portamento for people who still wanted to use them.
This effectily illustrates that after 60's and 70's nothing good is not produced in electric instruments. Every digital clone is as far as it can get. Real thing is real thing!
@NesteHukka2 That's your imagination. This does not sound better then what can be made today. Electronic keyboards and software synthesizers are very sophisticated.
@mgalaxy2010 The ORIGINAL theme was made using a combination of Musique Concrete tape manipulation combined with electronic sound sources by Delia Derbyshire. No Moog at all. I'm not entirely sure about the rest of the versions of the themes, but I seem to remember that one of the 1970s versions used a CS-80 and or an Odyssey... still, no Moog.
@1770studios Because if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to be explain them to people! I wouldn't trust anyone to demo a synth who didn't have a lot of them to compare to. WOULD YOU? : )
@AutomaticGainsay Hi! iy has 2 white smooth solid discs, plastic moog badges, 1974, old oscillator boards (one of the last few made with the old boards i think) apparantly it belonged to supertramp many moons ago.
its got one hell of a big sound, however it doesnt seem snappy like my prodigy or voyager. Does you mini sound snappy?
@cprostudio I was just trying ascertain whether it was the old oscillator board. While Bob himself encouraged people to go for the upgrade, I like the tone of the old oscillator board a lot better. It's definitely worth the minor issue of tuning.
I don't sequence, so snappiness isn't very important to me... I have no idea. : )
@cprostudio calm down, we know you are a troll, and you were marked on troll hunters blog. Your silly comments are on a lot of networks, so unlikely you dont have real life, friends..and of course you dont have any snyths
@dergeclonteclown im not into wasting my time looking for trolls or whatever, i visit youtube for inspiration and comment honestly to each video or experience i have. I dont really care what you think i have or not when it comes down to it as what satisifies me is making music on the intruments i own. I really dont understand why you are concerned with the fact i own a model d or any other synths for that matter, i can only assume you are a jealous person individual, now im off to make music
@cprostudio haha..thanks for that funny joke :D..you are just on youtube to mess around with other people, i checked your comments and your channel, everyone hates you, you only put videos in your favorites, which you dont like, for commenting a shit on it, also you are marked on several Blogs as a Troll
@dergeclonteclown i think your the troll, harrasing me, making it your job to look for people who comment honestly on pages! Its freedom of speach! i can say what i want on youtube, but you lot harass people!!
hey guys well, im not into 70's i was born in the late 80's, but for me goes like this analog sounds like black eyed peas, and digital sounds like red one(lady gaga producer) ok dont hate me with my examples, but yeah the guy from b.e.p. sound analog cause he use a lot of analog, and the other guy red ones sounds like logic pro synths.. so i hear the difference!
Saying digital has come nearly as far as analog and analog is no longer worth the money is not trolling. However, I can't argue with your last point about who one makes music for.
@AudioAssassyn I think digital has vastly surpassed analog in every single way except one: sounding and acting like analog. There are the people who buy analog synths for this reason, and then there are the people who buy analog for some sort of retarded perceived status. any complaint about the latter group of people is reasonable, I think... but that doesn't mean the former group (to which I belong) exists.
Placebo effect much? I'm willing to bet if you were blindfolded and played a standard single oscillator sawtooth middle C sustained for 3 seconds (1 sample a Moog, 1 Reason) through the same pair of independently amped 600 Ohm cans, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you really just have YEARS of playing under you. The average person CERTAINLY can't.
Just because it's expensive doesn't mean you are actually getting much more. Same concept as Beats by Dre.
@AudioAssassyn Check out my video wherein I demonstrate the differences between oscillators in several analog synthesizers. That being said, your "test" would prove little, but I guarantee that if you compared a Minimoog oscillator against a software oscillator, the difference would be quite striking, and even YOU would be able to tell. We don't make music for the average person... the average person recognizes shit. We make music for us. Right?
@AudioAssassyn P.S. Ha ha, they're not trolling you, you're trolling me. : ) But, I don't care. I welcome your cynicism, because it allows me to adequately describe the excellent aspects of sound and functionality of this synthesizers. As for price... none of this is about price. Some of us remember when these things were going for $300, and all of us who love them for the right reasons now, would have stated those reasons then.
Thanks for your videos. They were influential in me getting an MG-1 and a Korg MS-20. What I like the most is your unbiased views about vintage analogs versus modern ones (real Moogs mainly). I am one of those lucky B's who got to own most of the early Moogs along with a Voyager and LP. Would be a gut wrenching decision if I were to choose between my Model D and Voyager (no space here to go into details), but I would keep the OS. Just like Dr R.A Moog (RIP) said, a better model D.
@MandoBigRiff Thank you for watching, and I'm really glad I helped in your decisions! I have to admit I would really really like to own an OS, and if I ever do, we can have a conversation about making that choice! : )
Actually I do like one really good synth, the Amdromeda A6 but it is very expensive (not trying to hijack the MiniMoog thread) and I'd love to keep a minimoog if it dropped in price. So I don't have anything against analog, in fact I built my own analog synth from scratch, no keyboard, just a circuit board, resistors and potentiometers, etc.., So I really like this stuff, I just wish I had the money. For now I content myself with a software synth which suits what I do. Thanks for the input.
Jean-Michel Jarre, in my opinion the best composer in the synth realm (Search for Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxygene part 2) that was back in the 1970s. I still listen to it today and I'm amazed.
He had some tuning issues, on a Moog, ARP, you name it... Not cool during a concert, I understand what you're saying about subtle differences, warmth and all that, but is it really worth it, that is my question..
@MrKnnknn Well, somehow, instrumental musicians have been able to deal with tuning in concert for centuries. : ) If a synth can't stay in tune long enough for you to perform, there is something wrong with it. You hear all of these stories about synths that go out of tune when a door is opened in the room, and I have to say that has never been my experience. I have performed live with nearly all of the synths you see me demo, and I never have any tuning issue that can't be easily dealt with.
@MrKnnknn As for "is it worth it," that's a tough one. From a practical standpoint, analog synths are getting ridiculously expensive. As an obsessive fan, I'm even saying that. A Minimoog is getting to the point of being impractically expensive. It's only really worth it if you love the idea of the device as much as what it can do. There are plenty of great modern analog synths to buy if you're not obsessively focused on the exact sound of the Minimoog.
@MrKnnknn Yes, it has VCOs. Which detuning problem do you mean? VCOs pitch is unstable and variable, just like strings, voices, air vibrating in metal tubes. That's the point. The notion that a synthesizer's pitch should be locked into perfect tuning is why synths today are such pale reflections of the rich tone of synths like the Minimoog. To control the pitch of a Minimoog, you merely have to tune it. If it goes out of tune, you tune again. Just like a guitar.
I wasn't trying to put down the Minimoog, I am honestly disturbed by this trend of analog synths as if.... Take the Juno 106 for example, ok so it's analog, so what... Same thing for the Moog, if the goal is to listen closely and enjoy the analog sound then fine, but in a recording studio or concert, I sincerely doubt you can tell the difference, let alone on YouTube where the sound quality is questionable.
@MrKnnknn The desirable qualities in regard to analog synthesizers are often very subtle, and a lot of people simply think analog is some sort of status symbol without recognizing or caring about these subtle qualities, it's true. For example, a lot of people would be excited about a Juno 106, but I would not- DCOs are too perfect and sterile to derive a lot of the sort of analog sound I'm looking for. Basically, vintage analog synths sound more like acoustic instruments.
Forgive my lack of experience (I've only been playing synths for two decades now), what's so special about the Moog? Is it a nuance or is there really a difference to justify the expensive price?
@MrKnnknn Only two decades? If, after that long, you can't see any value in the Moog, and the many videos about it still don't answer the question... I'm not sure it can be answered. As for the price, it's not like someone says "this is what it's worth, and it's worth every penny." The price is decided by whomever is buying and selling at any given time.
thanks for posting AutomaticGainsay.people won't understand that the moog is really another beast, compared to there crap piece of software or casio thing.I had the chance to play on a moog once and nothing compares.
lol I can make all these sounds and THOUSANDS more with Reason/Record, a Kaossilator, a MicroKorg, and an Octapad (I bet your fancy Moog can't run percussion patterns) for a FRACTION of the price. Get lost, you pretentious losers. Moog is for suckers. "OH EM GEE I have a really uber expensive analog! Take that!" Piss off; digital has caught up and you guys are all tools using 60s technology at this point. Not to mention most of this sounds like crap and would NEVER be worthy of recording.

@AudioAssassyn Listen. I'm sure that a lot of people think the piano patch on their Casio sounds JUST LIKE a Steinway. Just because you can make a standard synth sound on a variety of synths doesn't mean that the quality of sound is exactly the same. When you say something like this, the only thing you're demonstrating is your inability to discern what separates this synth from the synths you've named. It's not a matter of pretension, it's a matter of quality.
The Minimoog is probably one of the most magnificent, powerful and remarkably wonderful sounding synths ever built.
What is your opinion of the Yamaha CS-80?

It's not a true sine wave, but it'll do in a pinch. So, that's the no. The yes is the fact that you can push the filter into self-oscillation and set the filter "keyboard" switches to full, resulting in the keys controlling the filter cutoff, and essentially making the self-oscillation sine wave play the appropriate pitches. Yes!

@_@ there is no "init patch" button... It would drive me mad to undo every single knob t urn when I created a new sound. Surely there is an easier way to revert changes you've made to sounds?
bigbagron 7 months ago

Best wishes from England!
theoriginaldanalogue 7 months ago
@theoriginaldanalogue Thank you very much, I am very glad you enjoy them. I learned a thing or two about the Source after watching yours!
AutomaticGainsay 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay Glad you liked the Moog Source demo! Let me know if your band is playing in the UK again. I would definitely come to a gig. I will try and get round to putting the Odyssey demo on. It has an interesting tone to it with the 12db filter. Are you familiar with that? I presume the 2600 timeline with the various different filters matches with the Odyssey. I owned a later one and the difference in character is very noticible. Thanks again for all the vids.
theoriginaldanalogue 7 months ago
@theoriginaldanalogue If I'm lucky enough to get back to playing in the UK, I'll let you know! If your Odyssey is 12dB, it must be the white-face! I've always wanted one of those!
AutomaticGainsay 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay Great - look forward to it! Its actually a black face. Supposedly the mk1 ran from 72-75 but in 74, they changed to black and gold. It is a mk1 though as the model number is a 2800. It is sonically identical to the white face but appearance wise it is identical to the mk2 (which I used to have), apart from the on/off switch which is smaller and more flimsy! Slightly later mk2's had the ppc controllers and at some point the moog filter...
theoriginaldanalogue 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay ...This is what I have read up and based on what the technician who serviced it and then sold it to me said. I might be incorrect though. It does sound very different to the mk2 I used to have. More aggressive but a little thinner around the sub. Mind you, they were never that bassy. Thats a job for the moog! Perfect combination in my mind. Highly recommend getting an Ody. I think the ring mod and fm features are its forte. Will let you know when the vid goes up.

Is it true that you can only play one note at a time?
getreadytowiggle1991 8 months ago
@getreadytowiggle1991 You GET to play one note at a time. : ) Modern synthesizers started out as monophonic instruments, and it isn't a limitation.
AutomaticGainsay 8 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay What are the pros and/or cons?
getreadytowiggle1991 8 months ago
@getreadytowiggle1991 Well, I suppose the only con is that you can't play chords, but no one ever complains that a saxophone or bass guitar can't play chords. You don't need to play chords to play expressive music or make cool sounds. And, if you want to make chords, you can always multitrack the synth. A multitracked Minimoog sounds better than ANY polyphonic synth... quite a statement, I know... but I'll stand behind it. : )
AutomaticGainsay 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay I really want a Minimoog, but I can't afford one hehehehe!
getreadytowiggle1991 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay bass guitar can't play chords?! you gotta be kidding! you can chords in a bass guitar just as in a regular guitar.
fabianidhesona 7 months ago
@fabianidhesona Okay, if you want to play chords on a bass guitar, especially one with more than 4 strings, obviously, you can. Still... the width of bass strings doesn't make it ideal for polyphonic playing.
AutomaticGainsay 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay So what does happen when you press two notes at once? No sound?
getreadytowiggle1991 7 months ago
@getreadytowiggle1991 It is "low-note priority," which is to say that it plays the lower of the two notes. When you lift your finger from the lowest note, it'll immediately play the higher note. This is a staple of monophonic playing, especially when portamento is engaged.
AutomaticGainsay 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay you can always tune the second osc to a fifth.
synth77 7 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay Yes...That's why any decent digital synth (even the sample based ones) has monophonic as an option. I can remember when I was a little younger, and all that my keyboards had was poly, and no portamento! Portamento and glide add so much to a synth. Even the big polysynths of the 80's had mono and portamento for people who still wanted to use them.

@ToTheSummitkicksass Yes. The wobble is really easy to make. However, you might have trouble syncing it.
AutomaticGainsay 8 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay using lfo and adjusting the speed is how you get wobble right?

@helms7k Using LFO to modulate the filter cutoff point, and also some resonance in the filter.

Do you think the original Dr.Who theme from the 60s was made using a Moog?
mgalaxy2010 8 months ago
@mgalaxy2010 The ORIGINAL theme was made using a combination of Musique Concrete tape manipulation combined with electronic sound sources by Delia Derbyshire. No Moog at all. I'm not entirely sure about the rest of the versions of the themes, but I seem to remember that one of the 1970s versions used a CS-80 and or an Odyssey... still, no Moog.

Does you mini sound snappy?
cprostudio 9 months ago
@cprostudio I was just trying ascertain whether it was the old oscillator board. While Bob himself encouraged people to go for the upgrade, I like the tone of the old oscillator board a lot better. It's definitely worth the minor issue of tuning.
I don't sequence, so snappiness isn't very important to me... I have no idea. : )

patyxxx 9 months ago
@AutomaticGainsay
Saying digital has come nearly as far as analog and analog is no longer worth the money is not trolling. However, I can't argue with your last point about who one makes music for.
AudioAssassyn 9 months ago
@AudioAssassyn I think digital has vastly surpassed analog in every single way except one: sounding and acting like analog. There are the people who buy analog synths for this reason, and then there are the people who buy analog for some sort of retarded perceived status. any complaint about the latter group of people is reasonable, I think... but that doesn't mean the former group (to which I belong) exists.
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
@ all trolling me:
Placebo effect much? I'm willing to bet if you were blindfolded and played a standard single oscillator sawtooth middle C sustained for 3 seconds (1 sample a Moog, 1 Reason) through the same pair of independently amped 600 Ohm cans, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you really just have YEARS of playing under you. The average person CERTAINLY can't.
Just because it's expensive doesn't mean you are actually getting much more. Same concept as Beats by Dre.
AudioAssassyn 9 months ago
@AudioAssassyn Check out my video wherein I demonstrate the differences between oscillators in several analog synthesizers. That being said, your "test" would prove little, but I guarantee that if you compared a Minimoog oscillator against a software oscillator, the difference would be quite striking, and even YOU would be able to tell. We don't make music for the average person... the average person recognizes shit. We make music for us. Right?
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
@AudioAssassyn P.S. Ha ha, they're not trolling you, you're trolling me. : ) But, I don't care. I welcome your cynicism, because it allows me to adequately describe the excellent aspects of sound and functionality of this synthesizers. As for price... none of this is about price. Some of us remember when these things were going for $300, and all of us who love them for the right reasons now, would have stated those reasons then.
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
Thanks for your videos. They were influential in me getting an MG-1 and a Korg MS-20. What I like the most is your unbiased views about vintage analogs versus modern ones (real Moogs mainly). I am one of those lucky B's who got to own most of the early Moogs along with a Voyager and LP. Would be a gut wrenching decision if I were to choose between my Model D and Voyager (no space here to go into details), but I would keep the OS. Just like Dr R.A Moog (RIP) said, a better model D.
MandoBigRiff 9 months ago
@MandoBigRiff Thank you for watching, and I'm really glad I helped in your decisions! I have to admit I would really really like to own an OS, and if I ever do, we can have a conversation about making that choice! : )
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
Actually I do like one really good synth, the Amdromeda A6 but it is very expensive (not trying to hijack the MiniMoog thread) and I'd love to keep a minimoog if it dropped in price. So I don't have anything against analog, in fact I built my own analog synth from scratch, no keyboard, just a circuit board, resistors and potentiometers, etc.., So I really like this stuff, I just wish I had the money. For now I content myself with a software synth which suits what I do. Thanks for the input.
MrKnnknn 9 months ago
Jean-Michel Jarre, in my opinion the best composer in the synth realm (Search for Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxygene part 2) that was back in the 1970s. I still listen to it today and I'm amazed.
He had some tuning issues, on a Moog, ARP, you name it... Not cool during a concert, I understand what you're saying about subtle differences, warmth and all that, but is it really worth it, that is my question..
MrKnnknn 9 months ago
@MrKnnknn Well, somehow, instrumental musicians have been able to deal with tuning in concert for centuries. : ) If a synth can't stay in tune long enough for you to perform, there is something wrong with it. You hear all of these stories about synths that go out of tune when a door is opened in the room, and I have to say that has never been my experience. I have performed live with nearly all of the synths you see me demo, and I never have any tuning issue that can't be easily dealt with.
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
@MrKnnknn As for "is it worth it," that's a tough one. From a practical standpoint, analog synths are getting ridiculously expensive. As an obsessive fan, I'm even saying that. A Minimoog is getting to the point of being impractically expensive. It's only really worth it if you love the idea of the device as much as what it can do. There are plenty of great modern analog synths to buy if you're not obsessively focused on the exact sound of the Minimoog.
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
Does the MiniMoog use VCOs? If so, how does it control the detuning problem that most analog synth had in the past?
MrKnnknn 9 months ago
@MrKnnknn Yes, it has VCOs. Which detuning problem do you mean? VCOs pitch is unstable and variable, just like strings, voices, air vibrating in metal tubes. That's the point. The notion that a synthesizer's pitch should be locked into perfect tuning is why synths today are such pale reflections of the rich tone of synths like the Minimoog. To control the pitch of a Minimoog, you merely have to tune it. If it goes out of tune, you tune again. Just like a guitar.
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
I wasn't trying to put down the Minimoog, I am honestly disturbed by this trend of analog synths as if.... Take the Juno 106 for example, ok so it's analog, so what... Same thing for the Moog, if the goal is to listen closely and enjoy the analog sound then fine, but in a recording studio or concert, I sincerely doubt you can tell the difference, let alone on YouTube where the sound quality is questionable.
MrKnnknn 9 months ago
@MrKnnknn The desirable qualities in regard to analog synthesizers are often very subtle, and a lot of people simply think analog is some sort of status symbol without recognizing or caring about these subtle qualities, it's true. For example, a lot of people would be excited about a Juno 106, but I would not- DCOs are too perfect and sterile to derive a lot of the sort of analog sound I'm looking for. Basically, vintage analog synths sound more like acoustic instruments.
AutomaticGainsay 9 months ago
Forgive my lack of experience (I've only been playing synths for two decades now), what's so special about the Moog? Is it a nuance or is there really a difference to justify the expensive price?
MrKnnknn 9 months ago
@MrKnnknn Only two decades? If, after that long, you can't see any value in the Moog, and the many videos about it still don't answer the question... I'm not sure it can be answered. As for the price, it's not like someone says "this is what it's worth, and it's worth every penny." The price is decided by whomever is buying and selling at any given time.
