@whittmj1128 Yea i've been lifting for about 16 months now, and gained a lot of muscle from when i started, do i need to worry about losing any muscle if i do p90x? or should i just take more protein? and also do you ever have any regular workout gym days on p90x? or can you take a day to do the gym instead of the program?
@whittmj1128 finally someone who pretty much summed up the p90x program correctly. people think that p90x can be substituted for going to the gym for mass-production, when it really can not. this is much more tailored to burn fat rather than increase muscle size. you can't replace weight-lifting with resistance bands for certain exercises, for example the bench press. try to pack on 44" pecs with just push-ups. it won't happen.

I have question for you, did u only just do P90x or you combined it with weight training at the gym as well. The reason why I ask this question because I just got P90x today and I was wondering can you do both P90x and weight training at the gym as well or that's not a good idea, I need a little bit of help here so I can no what's best to do and how to do it. @Mr291229 granted i only completed like 70 days, but yeah i went to the gym first and then did p90x afterwards. It works as long as you stick to the program and only use those same muscle groups in the gym for that day. Also, depending on how hard you lift in the gym, your muscles will be pretty gassed and you probably won't be able to lift much during the p90x workout so do p90 first if ur worried about that.
Are there different p90 workouts? I have a skinny figure I do not need to lose weight but want to put on muscle and get big. Is p90x the way to go or is there another exercise system?
Dude fantastic! I have three weeks left and have insane results. When you are done try AthleanX on Jeff Cavaliere's channel, looks awesome and its more for size, also it isnt 6 days a week for 1-2 hours a day which is a bit much. Still, p90x was fantastic.
@sim3on3 I just used protein powder from shoppers drug mart, it worked fantastic, only prob is it has artificial sweetener, but I could handle it for three months.
@matutee321 protien shakes, thats it, none of that other shit is needed. Follow the nutrition plan and you are set. Tons of GOOD food, never go hungry.
@kitties98 110 percent could mean a million things. Point is you try your best. For some that might mean they could only do 3 pull ups in the beginning but could do more at the end because they kept trying, I could do none at the start now I can do 6-10 (I weigh 205 so its harder). For others it might mean they were able to do it all from day one (I doubt it). Basically to succeed you have to commit fully is the point. No half-assed attempts.
