@Hikosaemon that guy is so rude, if i was you i'd look for him then kick his ass, or cut him a 100 times. (do you know what that means, cause i don't), oh and awesome vidoe btw.
Haha, it's always the way that gaijins like "shibui" Japanese culture more than many Japanese do. Ameyoko and Shitamachi seems a bit grungy to many Japanese, but that is exactly what is so cool about that part of town.
Hey oykngiksws, thanks for the feedback. Maybe I need to get out more often (hmmm, everyone thinks I'm a bit strange pointing the camera at myself though... hehe)
With my small new camera, I'll try to put it to good use!
Ahh, I think you are right. I looked at it more carefully in slow motion. When I first saw it I couldn't see his forefinger (only the middle finger!).
Well you really don't need to know about Okachimachi if you know pretty much about Ameyoko. Okachimachi has another name that is called Jewelry town so there is many jewelry retail store and wholesaler there. I was one of those. I know good place to eat different kinds of foods. Other than those stuff, You might know better than I do because I've been away from there almost 5 years. This vid reminds me a lot!
Hehe, I thought it was a nice clip (some spare footage from my camera test). At first I thought the guy was making a very cheeky gesture, but I looked back at the video on hi-res, and he gave a PEACE sign. Too perfect!
I declare the mystery man in the red shirt a legend!

I like the patio yakitori joints in Ameyoko that start opening around 5pm. My Japanese wife dislikes them unfortunately...

That guy gave you the finger, huh?!!

He is a peace sign. (Forefinger and middle finger)
Many of Japanese have the habit of doing "Peace signature" to the camera.
Is mysterious? haha

Magibon did "peace sign", and a many Japanese became her fans. And Mr Hikosaemon also does "Peace sign".
Possibly, it might be a knack. Road to majors. XD

I used to go to Okachimachi everyday because I had a job there. They have many good places to eat as well.

Cool! Other than Ameyoko, I don't know Okachimachi that well... What kind of places do you recommend around there?
