  • @anbuz3ro

hi, you will find a new better sounding and more accurate version of this on my new basschannel:

    youtube.com/user/basspartout

There's also a video with the score of the bassline, I may add another one with tabs.

Greetings and thx for stopping by :-)

  • nunhej wer will chattn ich ben so gelangweilt ^^ wer will meldet sich

  • Great bassline! Once of the best ever. Thank for showing us .

  • the stupid about that is, that "jazz" "musicians" always say that pop /r&r/ r&b ain´t worth anything. they should try to play it themselves. the arrogance of jazz will accompany us at least for another 50 years, with rap and all that (C)RAP!!!

  • Fucking........ Aye

  • saweet!!!

  • fantastic!

  • Good job. This ia a bassline that sounds like it would'nt be too hard to learn, but it is not easy.

  • cool! where'd you get the tab?

  • Excellent playing!! Really makes one appreciate this incredible Hollis composition even more.

  • I don't recall Mark writing the bass line! ;-)

  • @bassatnight awesome........ was you....a genious's work

  • i hav the same bass as u but purple

  • Amazing Slowdowner-very funny

  • Great video. I am learning this one at the moment and have been struggling with the bridge. Your video has really helped.

By the way, is that an ESP 400 Series Jazz bass your playing? If so, then its super rare and a superb bass. It looks as though you also has the even more rare Fender style headstock. I have a couple clips of me playing mine of You Tube.

    Keep up the great playing.

  • Thx for the comment!

Yes, it's really a superb bass but I didn't know that it's rare, so thank you for telling me, makes me appreciate it even more :)

  • ....and yes, it's a 400 Series btw.

  • Wow, great job, soooo nice!!

  • ay dude can you send me the tabs for this

  • can u send me those tabs man

    its really good

  • Sorry, got no tabs for this.

  • couldn't you tab how you played it? It's taking me ages to get it off your video cause my bass is out of tune :/

  • pedazo de garras macho

  • Anyone have an idea what type of bass the band member played in Talk Talk? He had a great sound. I used to have a Rick but it never sounded good when I tried to play Talk Talk songs.

  • Wal-Mark I Pro (fretless).

  • isnt meant to be fretless?

  • Great playing. Can you tell me if this is in E or Eb. I got a tab and it said to detune a half step to play along with CD. Thanks

  • Grande maestro!!!!! exelente me re sirvio!!

  • a proposito del bassista dei talk...andrebbe picchiato!! dal vivo usa un fretless ma non è capace, è tutto stonato! ah ah ah

  • Good!!

  • bom trabalho!!

  • Toque em Baixo Parabens gostei

  • good job

  • cool man cool you did a exelente

  • wow you are really good!

  • I think the fifth note you play on the slowed down bit is wrong... I'm not trying to be clever, just a freindly observation.

  • No, you're right about the verse-part in general. Its not only the in the slowed down version. I've never focused on the verse-part, just concentrated on Bridge and Chorus, so I listened to it again and yes, there he plays a interesting variation, too. Maybe I do a new version which will include the verse. Thanks anyway. There's always something new to discover :)

  • Well done my friend :-)

  • Is the right hand deliberately left off-screen?

  • No, not really,it just happened while experimenting with the angle of the little digicam. I chose to leave it like that because I think the left hand is more important here and the focus is not on technnique.

  • You played that bass line so well.

  • Great to see the bass line individually from this classic song.

  • Pretty cool, did you go to school to learn how to play bass?, you got a cool technique

  • Dude!! really cool. Do Renee next!!

  • seriously - thanks for slowing this down for us drummers who're picking up the bass.

  • thanxMon!

  • Great work, that has inspired me to pick up my bass and learn. again... lol

  • Interesting. I hadn't paid much attention to the bassline in that song before.

  • Oh my goodness, the bass line is the crux of the matter!!! Listen and enjoy!

  • Beautiful!!! Do you have something of your own? It would be interesting.

  • goooooood!!! thanks!

you have the same bass yhat i do, but mine es made in maexico jojo. bye

  • cool, one of the first songs I learned when I started playing bass

  • You play good, man, congratulations!

  • sweet!

  • nice job man its my life from talk talk is awsome...wish i could play the bass

  • This is my all-time favourite song and that's the greatest bassline ever. I can play it a bit on my guitar but I have idiot fingers that eventually do whatever they want so you'll never see me perform a cover of this on any stage anywhere.

  • Is a great bassline, you played it very good, is one of my favorite songs, i'd like to listen from you 'The Chinesse Way' of Level 42

  • I think the bassist in Talk Talk is the greatest. You're right to learn from him. But he created it!.

  • Cool ! I enjoy the bass part you play while listen to talk, talk its great!I wish I good play bass that good.

  • It just shows how good the original bassist is. Thanks for calling attention to it.

  • Always loved that bassline, thanks a bunch

  • Using "Amazing Slowdowner", can you slowly get the fuck outta here? It was neither entertaining nor instructional...

  • No, TiramisuHappy, I will stay here. If it's neither educational nor instructional to you... fine.

Just in case you haven't realised: you (!) are free to leave any video you don't like with just a click of your mouse. That's what makes YouTube different from TV. Great, huh?!?!So the choice is yours. And by the way, just visited your profile and I'm impressed by the huge number of videos you have to offer...

  • I mean, what exactly is your intent of posting this crap on here when you can hardly hear what you're playing other the squeaking of your friggin' chair?? Puhleeease!

  • The squeaking unfortunately is added when converting the video with fuc... Windows Movie Maker, in order to get video and audio in sync (a problem many people encounter here on YouTube). But still, to somebody with ears, the bassline (which by the way is the intent here )is clearly audible.

  • Sorry about the nasty rant! I was in a bad mood when I wrote them... And yes, I can clearly hear your bass now with the headphones on. Actually, you're pretty good! Keep it up...

  • Thanks. You're welcome. I know it from myself, that YouTube can be a "tempting" place when I'm in a bad mood myself....and I wish all the people had the greatness like you to apologize once the "nasty rant" is over. Thanks again, TiramisuHappy!

  • GREAT! VERY INTERESTING! Adesso vi faccio divertire io!
