Ridiculous! But that's how some people got fooled into voting for this lying public school tosser. They get what they vote for. Nick Clegg - protects murderers of British children. (Like Aso Mohammed Ibrahim, who will be allowed to remain in the UK despite murdering 12 year old Amy Houston)
@JTWproductions Aye and then what, Labour or Tory's? Democracy is truly dead when those are the only choices left, no choice at all. NO SUITABLE CANDIDATE!
@smartverity Good heavens no, I voted UKIP. Naturally I wouldn't want them in total power (and obviously that wasn't going to happen), but any party that is anti-EU and features members who didn't come straight out of a council estate (a la the BNP) I'll happily vote for. In all honesty there is not a single party in our electoral system that represents my view point, it just so happens that those who got into power this time have made a decision that will directly effect me & those close to me.
@Epionea Well that sort of commentary places you very much to the right given I happen to be from a council estate, but had intelligent parents who encouraged me to get further and higher education. Please don't tar us all with the same brush, just because we have the misfortune of being poor :(
@smartverity You cannot give a balanced opinion on someone's political leanings though a single comment. Most of the BNP's members ARE from council estates, and it is a known statistic that those who reside within them are more likely to be unemployed, have broken families and/ or criminal convictions than those under a 'purchased' roof.
@Epionea Haahaha you really did give me a good chuckle. How narrowed minded and blinkered you are. No I am no NWO 'nut job', but neither am I sleep walking through, the very obvious corruption of our governments either. I have done my research perhaps do some of your own. My argument is that neither can you make a judgement of human based solely on statistics as you state I can't through a single comment. One comment/one stat. No difference yet you make the judgement nonetheless.
@smartverity Classic tin-hat reply 'I have done my research', research on what, exactly? - as I said previously, by your favourites you appear to be a nut-job; NWO Obama, Fluoride in our water, didn't mean to touch such a nerve there, calm down. Statistics can't allow people to make a judgement? Don't be so absurd! They are used daily to make decisions by almost every Government and organisation in the world. 'Contradictory statements you make' Geez, talk about creating a straw-man.
@Epionea I've just had a peruse through my faves and out of 38 there is only two ref. NWO, both of which are Obama calling for a new world order, one in Berlin and the other before he got elected on a talk show. Hardly anything in the way of NWO 'nut job' there in actual context to my other faves. You really are highly judgemental of people considering the contradictory statements you make. Pot calling kettle black.
The description of this video should begin with, 'Remember the General Election that the Lib Dems had no chance of winning, but idiotic students still voted for them in anyway?'
Anyone who voted for the Lib Dems wasted their vote and have only themselves to blame.
Shadow business secretary John Denham said in the debate that the fee increase was being driven by the government's decision to have deep cuts to university funding.
Students protesting in Parliament Square Protesters used barriers to try to breach police lines
"Even if they had just cut universities the way they are cutting other public services, students would be facing fees of no more than £4,000," he told the BBC.
"This is a choice they have made and they don't have to make it."
Sorry, I find that the worst part of this whole thing, is that even if you CAN pay off your debt, you are not allowed to, just so as those lying bastards can make money off intrest. So basically 30 years of debt, takes most students to being middle aged and about to retire, so our whole working lives we will have debt hanging over us.
Just Google - David Cameron & the stolen nukes! Shhhhhh .
and see what shows up. . UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s forebears have a long history in financial racketeering. His great-great grandfather, Emile Levita, a German Jew, was related to the German- Goldsmid banking family, and obtained British citizenship in 1871. He was the director of the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China. Please watch - Lyndon LaRouche explains start of WW III here on youtube Peace .
Every Lib Dem MP who votes in favour of raising the cap should repay the cost of their own taxpayer-funded university education. To keep it simple each MP should pay the proposed maximum fee-cap for each year that they were at university and gift the money to the university they attended. The only stipulation should be that the university must use the money as a bursary to fund the education of a student from a disadvantaged background. Oh, and a full and unqualified apology would also be nice.
@SookMaDook1 I don't think anyone is 'forgetting' anything! People are remembering how Clegg signed a pledge and made a commitment to the electorate over student fees. It has nothing to do with 'power' - it's a matter of integrity.
From the Guardian. The Liberal Democrats were drawing up plans to abandon Nick Clegg's flagship policy to scrap university tuition fees two months before the general election, secret party documents reveal. As the Lib Dem leader faces a growing revolt after this week's violent protest against fee rises, internal documents show the party was drawing up proposals for coalition negotiations which contrasted sharply with Clegg's public pronouncements.
Hey you student fa*ggots, I hate every single one of you. All of you are fat, retarded, no-lifes who spend every second of their day whining about the cost of your degrees. You are everything bad in the world. Honestly, this is even worse than je*rking off to pictures on facebook. Hit me with your best shot. I'm pretty much perfect. I was captain of the football team, and starter on my basketball team. What sports do you play, other than "jacking off to videos of Nick Clegg lying"?
@THEKINGOFEUR0PE a 17 yr old, applied to medicine, got 4 offers so far. im predicted to get 2a*, a and b. besides a half-marathon runner and a competitive swimmer.
and what do YOU do apart from being a big headed moron?
@kurfffa, you have got to be one huuuge nerd to take this website so seriously. who the hell cares how popular you are on here? you must really not have much going on in the real world, and i'm guessing the smell b.o. and chili cheese fritos in your mom's basement is getting pretty thick by this point. do yourself a favor and get out alittle more often.
@kurfffa You're a pathetic loser and it shows. You all think yore so fvcking smart and special, your nothing but a self serving doucebag. You "dawg" everyone off to show your alpha manhood but yet you were the shit smeller everyone picked on. No one is "dawged" off, they simply leave because they grew up and get tired of your dumb repeating ass. Asshole.
So what your telling me is you've went out of your way to leave a comment on a video that doesnt effect nor concern you...only to broadcast that your perfect...captian of the football team etc...im guessin your dick is INCREDIBLY small
@THEKINGOFEUR0PE Wrong correction made to that post, love. Also, I'm assuming you're English, so it's "spelt", and if you're talking about numbers it's "two". Mind you, if you've spent your younger years in "scholl" rather than school, I can see why you'd make mistakes ^_^
@Squyresimon I should think it dafter to ignore such a dick, especially when reading the rest of their comments - regardless of how small the input is. Also, I quite like being a bit of a twat; I find it passes the time.
(And since you're so hot on dictionaries, I figure I should tell you - "peurile" is not a word. Puerile is, but not peurile. I appreciate the sentiment, though - maturity is vastly overrated, and much more boring ^_^)
O.K. you got me on a typo too.. well done .. I was making a point that 'tis best to attack said dick's idiotic comments rather than their lack of typing skill .. and you're so correct .. I myself have surprisingly achieved age but haven't put a lot of effort into maturity, hence my 'spitting the dummy'. :o)
@Squyresimon Ah, but their posts make any sort of attempt at a rational argument pointless. A post about their positioning in sports teams, swiftly followed by a "yeah, but popularity soooooo doesn't matter!" comment? Methinks arguing with them against the actual content of their posts would feel something like smashing one's head against a brick wall...
Methinks you're correct ... as the saying goes ''Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience." Okay, get your jollies pointing out their spelling and typo errors, maybe they'll learn something from that. :o)
One of my favourite quotes is Franklin P. Jones's ''A fanatic is one who sticks to his guns whether they're loaded or not.'' Fanatic or "dick", I don't bother trying to argue with 'em.
Great video! We just pulled together a collection of our favourite things on youtube around the education cuts and student protests, and this is definitely one of them. They're on the Brightwide blog, and thanks for putting this together!
I cannot stand Clegg. He is repulsive (although slightly less so than the ginger rodent resident in the treasuer as financial secretary to help the tories scrap the wlfare state). It has now been discovered that the Libdems secretly planned to ditch there objections to tuition fees even before the election....so the whole thing was a lie. FibDems!
lib dem have just shot themselves in the foot with this coalition. correction; coalition that nobody voted for. there will be no lib dem next year. and labour will be stronger because of it. considering that over 40% of the voting body are students, thats 40% that conservative and lib dem won't touch.
The biggest liar of them all in my opinion. I was almost swayed voting for Lib Dems as Clegg speaks Dutch like I do and he came across as extremely sympathetic and honest in a specific Dutch interview almost making me change my vote. I'm glad I stuck with labour. Can't see how he can sleep at night knowing he campaigned against tuition fee rises. Ridiculous.
Charlatan! You go masquerading as some sort of conviction politician yet you show yourself to be nothing more than a spineless sycophant to your conservative master. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Is there any political party that doesn't talk out there arse?
Why don't they just get a group of good people to run the country instead of these complete liers, this generation of students are in serious trouble. But who cares? As long as the people who are running the country aren't effected everything must be fine
Nick Clegg, partly truth, partly fiction. A walking contradiction. Just watched Taxi Driver again and having watched this video and considered the immense student fee's im going to incur, and how the conservative government have really stuck to their CLASSIC ideology of breaking the backs of the working class. I feel like the guy who shot Reagan, accept I'd make mine at least a double assasination and aim for the head.
Excuse me for being obvious, but last time i remember tories were in power. Give the guy a break, its not his fault the country didn't vote for lib dems, their pritty much tories little bitch's. Imagine what it would be like if it was just the tories!
@Aarone36 The tories are not in power, they didn't win the election. The current government is a coalition of conservatives and the lib dems, The lib dems have real power to block the tuition fees plan. but the spineless wankers are resigning themselves to being tea makers.
I think what we've all got to remember that this is not JUST down to Nick Clegg. He is pathetic, and he did bow down to the Tories, but it's the TORIES who are in this too.
I know at the next election people are saying they'll never vote Lib Dem, but we really shouldn't be voting Tory either, if we had a wholly Tory Government, we'd be in even more trouble than we are now. I don't care what anyone else says, I KNOW the Labour Government would have done a better job.
I've voted lib dem since i was 18 as i actually believed they could make a positive difference (albeit as a strong opposition rather then the ruling party) but after watching them bow down to the conservatives time and time again as part of the so called coalition i wont be voting for them again ever! clegg has single handedly destroyed any prospect of the lib dems being a serious contender in any future election and destroyed any credibility his party may have gained in recent years.
I am disappointed, not only because everyone who intends to go to university will be saddled with huge debt, but also because people like Clegg and Cable have basically destroyed the reputation of honest Lib Dems party members/MP's.
After I am 18 (eligible to vote) I will never vote for them and am sure many people are in agreement to not vote for them. Well done Clegg, well done. You have lost many potential votes and the trust of people who voted for you.
I was one who believed Nick Clegg when he promised that tuition fees would be abolished. It was unfortunately part of the deal that the Coalition made that he had to go back on this promise. In return, he got his reform of the electoral system and the pupil premium. I don't believe anything that any Tory government says. The LibDems will be let down What do you expect from a Tory-biased Cabinet? It is a Tory Government in everything but name.
I am a liberal democrat.. Liberal policies are best for the country that is why I love them. The problem is I wish our leader did too. He has just adopted tory policy after tory policy. Please don't think what he is doing is Liberal, it isn't it is Tory. If you are new to politics please don’t think that Nick represents Liberalism because he doesn’t.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
HELLO! The Liberal Democrats LOST the election. They came third. You can't hold someone to keep election promises when they didn't receive a mandate! The only reason the LibDems have ANY power is because the Tories bombed compared to expectation. Clegg's doing a good job but he can not deliver LibDem policies when only 3 in every 20 British people voted for them!
If you're really a student, I suggest you go and actually study some politics and stop being so politically naive.
@kindreddrift HELLO! That's not the point. The point is that they said they would OPPOSE lifting the cap on fees, and now they seem set to SUPPORT such a policy. This isn't a case of having a mandate to implement their own policies but having the balls to oppose policies with which their leader has stated they disagree. This would apply even were they not in a coalition govt and instead still part of the opposition.
@kindreddrift The party's policy was to phase out tuition fees over 6 years. I can understand why they would not implement this, as compromise is necessary in a coalition.
However, separate to their policy, they signed a pledge saying they would vote against any raising for the cap for fees in the next Parliament. This still applies, since it was designed to stand whether or not they won a majority because was not a policy pledge, but a pledge on voting practices.
Politicians lie and cheat all the time (expenses anyone??). Here they just abused the naive students to get votes, and now look who's the Deputy Prime Minister.
Don't forget, the tories are just as much to blame. In fact it was THEIR plans that created this mess, not Labour (although Labour came up with no alternatives.) The tories.. well I can expect this kind of thing from them to be honest, but the Lib Dems.. hypocrisy really annoys me. What kind of political party turns from centre-left to right wing in a matter of months?
It's simple, tax the rich, and if you must cut anything, cut the services that the wealthiest people in the country depend on, not the poorest, cut the bankers' bonuses, don't cut education spending and child benefit, think of the state our country will be in if people can't afford to live because they don't get the benefits they're entitled to!! And with all the strikes, there's more people out of work than ever before, and travel disruption is at its worst.
We must protest! We, the students, cannot let this happen! Clegg is a pushover and the government is basically a tory government that we have, tell me, what lib dem policies have they stuck to? I feel ashamed to have voted lib dem, thinking they would make a change, how wrong I was, they're just as bad as the rest. It makes me sad to say it, as I agreed with nearly ALL their policies before the coalition.
First of, I want to thank whoever set it up so the libdems website redirects to here.
Second, even if Clegg wants to I doubt he can actually go back to his origional stance now, it's probably part of the coallition deal, he doesn't want to look like her [CENSORED] he has revealed himself to be and this will be derrided by LibDems as a childish prank by a single non-representative trouble maker.
This flip flop makes me wish I'd voted labour, since the coalition every choice seems to be wrong.
I really did think Nick was different! I feel like I’ve been cheated by a really convincing salesman. Maybe this is how pensioners feel after realising they have just given their money to a lying and deceiving con artist!
This country is supposedly a representative democracy (don't be a douche and say it's a monarchy), we choose these people to run our country and make the changes they promised to us. They've taken this power we've given to them and are abusing it. We might as well be living in a dictatorship. The majority of the public don't want tuition fees to go up, yet the government increase them.
At least China and Korea admit they're a dictatorship.
Look at a lib dem hard enough and you will see a Tory. Said this before the election, said this now. Lib dems will never stand up for students and will never represent their interests. Sadly, it is of no surprise nick is going back on this promise. He is a rabid liberal, concerned only with privatising as much as he can from higher education to the postal service.
one lying shithouse bastard.

@smartverity That didn't even make sense. Return when you have a substantiated argument to back your claims.
That said, I took a look over your favourites, and you just appear to be another NWO nut-job, so I'm really no longer interested.
Epionea 1 year ago
@Epionea Haahaha you really did give me a good chuckle. How narrowed minded and blinkered you are. No I am no NWO 'nut job', but neither am I sleep walking through, the very obvious corruption of our governments either. I have done my research perhaps do some of your own. My argument is that neither can you make a judgement of human based solely on statistics as you state I can't through a single comment. One comment/one stat. No difference yet you make the judgement nonetheless.
smartverity 1 year ago
@smartverity Classic tin-hat reply 'I have done my research', research on what, exactly? - as I said previously, by your favourites you appear to be a nut-job; NWO Obama, Fluoride in our water, didn't mean to touch such a nerve there, calm down. Statistics can't allow people to make a judgement? Don't be so absurd! They are used daily to make decisions by almost every Government and organisation in the world. 'Contradictory statements you make' Geez, talk about creating a straw-man.
Epionea 1 year ago
@Epionea I've just had a peruse through my faves and out of 38 there is only two ref. NWO, both of which are Obama calling for a new world order, one in Berlin and the other before he got elected on a talk show. Hardly anything in the way of NWO 'nut job' there in actual context to my other faves. You really are highly judgemental of people considering the contradictory statements you make. Pot calling kettle black.

NUS policy would get rid of student fees overnight?
Posty gratduates will earn more money than people without degrees in the long run.
The NUS wants to clear the debts, which will essentially help the middle classes get richer, at the expense of other government funded services.
Terrible policy.

@Squyresimon Ah, but their posts make any sort of attempt at a rational argument pointless. I know at the next election people are saying they'll never vote Lib Dem, but we really shouldn't be voting Tory either, if we had a wholly Tory Government, we'd be in even more trouble than we are now. I don't care what anyone else says, I KNOW the Labour Government would have done a better job.

If you're really a student, I suggest you go and actually study some politics and stop being so politically naive.
kindreddrift 1 year ago
@kindreddrift HELLO! That's not the point. The point is that they said they would OPPOSE lifting the cap on fees, and now they seem set to SUPPORT such a policy. This isn't a case of having a mandate to implement their own policies but having the balls to oppose policies with which their leader has stated they disagree. This would apply even were they not in a coalition govt and instead still part of the opposition.
digsy1917 1 year ago 4
@kindreddrift The party's policy was to phase out tuition fees over 6 years. I can understand why they would not implement this, as compromise is necessary in a coalition.
However, separate to their policy, they signed a pledge saying they would vote against any raising for the cap for fees in the next Parliament. This still applies, since it was designed to stand whether or not they won a majority because was not a policy pledge, but a pledge on voting practices.

One word: Thatcher!
darkblade311 1 year ago
We must protest! We, the students, cannot let this happen! Clegg is a pushover and the government is basically a tory government that we have, tell me, what lib dem policies have they stuck to? I feel ashamed to have voted lib dem, thinking they would make a change, how wrong I was, they're just as bad as the rest. It makes me sad to say it, as I agreed with nearly ALL their policies before the coalition.
I'll be voting Green at the next election.
darkblade311 1 year ago
First of, I want to thank whoever set it up so the libdems website redirects to here.
Second, even if Clegg wants to I doubt he can actually go back to his origional stance now, it's probably part of the coallition deal, he doesn't want to look like her [CENSORED] he has revealed himself to be and this will be derrided by LibDems as a childish prank by a single non-representative trouble maker.
This flip flop makes me wish I'd voted labour, since the coalition every choice seems to be wrong.
