There are alot of people, underground people who stands for burning of churche in Norway. Not the most diplomatic way but I understand them. There bands like Dimmu Borgir, Immortal, Behemoth, BURZUM (not exactly band) & etc., who all are against the religions. For example, Varg Vikernes worship the pagan gods and stuff. He even burn churches for the fun. Yeah, it's not proven that he burn the churches, but still. So, not all bands "love religion and christianity".

@benjc4 you are right...to add to your comment this song is part of a 2 part concept album(s) in which the main character is seduced by the promise of power of Mephisto(aka satan) in the end the main character realizes that love is all he ever really wanted even though he ended up sacrificing the live of the person he loved!!! ( ariel).
