I just found that this was not his only song - at the end of YouTube dot com, put in /artist/Johnny Crawford (it won't let me give you the link here, even its own link!!) and a whole list comes up!
Thanks for this. i used to watch The Rifleman when it first came out, I am that old, but I do not remember ever seeing this!! Maybe I just noticed it more now since I am a great-grandmother, and it was just so damned cute!
I grew up with shows like this. Such a great cast. Shows like this and the Andy Griffith show with single fathers bringing up there sons really taught great lessons for life as an adult. Great entertainment.
Johnny Crawford is 7 years older than me, and I don't remember how old I was when I started watching the Rifleman, I just remember I really had a crush on him! But I never knew he actually got records produced. He really was a good singer! Sure brings back memories. I watch the reruns every chance I get! Love that show!
The best child actor ever... & the best teen singer. I knew him briefly in the 80s when he was reviving his singing career. A H-wood legend and a gentleman, as sweet, humble & funny as he is talented. Haven't kept up, but think he's still singing 1920s/30s songs & had a dance orchestra a while back. Go Johnny!
I looked it up and it was Cheryl from The Micky Mouse Club. She died Jan 9, 2009. She was in so many shows I regularly watched after The Micky Mouse Club it's no wonder she looked so familiar to me!
To clarify, I meant I saw the episode when it first aired, not a re-run. It was a favorite show we watched every week. I knew Mark and Lucas, of course, but I was wondering who the girl and her "date" were. All the girls in my circle of friends were "In Love" with Johnny Crawford and bought his records faithfully!

The girl may be Cheryl Coleridge, a former "musketeer" from the "Mickey Mouse Club". Great entry.
