This song is sad but unfortunately very true this is usually a soldiers thanks for giving is life for his country a life of heartbreak the ones he loves leaving or betraying him, it has happened to me and more of my friends then I care to think about makes me wonder if there are any truly faithful decent women left in this world!

Then if you watch the video and listen to the lyrics it takes about how he turns to whiskey to get away from the pain and he ends up killing himself. Then the woman who he used to be with also uses whiskey to get away from all the pain and she regrets what she did and she cant live without him so she kills herself also.
