the guitar isn't exactly like the one in the recording (nice choice -- i absolutely adore that song) i love this. nice work, your voice is virtually flawless. what coffeeshop is this? i also adore playing at coffeeshops and open mics, people are generally nice, and quite welcoming there. :).
just wanted to say excellent work, i saw the shins play this live and fell in love with the song instantly. I youtubed a version myself a few days later because I absolutely could not get it out of my head! =)
Thanks! You know I'm actually in a band now, trying to make it to the big time :-) You can check us out at myspace- our band's name is counterwise. Thanks again for the comment!
This was at Pepperdine University, we had small concerts where the locals could play in front of a good size audience. It was an awesome experience and we did it as often as we could!
Coffee houses not being the best venues from a sonic perspective, that was really excellent. That's one of my favorite Shins songs to play, and I would give just about anything to have your voice. This is one of those all too rare instances where when everyone says you are a great singer, they aren't just being polite. VERY VERY nice. Thanks
Thank you soo much! It's always nice to hear good comments! I agree that coffeehouses are rough (acoustics-wise) but they are still one of my favorite things to play at. There's just a level of intimacy there that you don't get at the local bar or small venue. Thanks again for your compliment!
I approve of this cover. One of my favorite shins songs. Two things. One, you should have vocalized the trumpets. It's the best part! Secondly... the acoustics of the room get on my nerves like woah. But obviously that's not your fault. All in all, I approve.
Hi ! Cool rendition indeed. Cheers !

Your voice is absolutly beautiful. I'm not sure what you studied @ Pepperdine, but you could have a career in music if you wanted. Let's hear more.
