  • thats a very nice scene where you took that shot..

At model rail scotland last weekend I bought the class 170 Saltire livery... Promised myself i wont open it till my birthday tho :P

  • @Sharpslade

I saw quite a few at Model Rail Scotland - there very similar to the one in the video.

The Saltire one has display boards in the middle coach of the windows, which they all have now.

The Saltire one also doesn't have plastic moulded door open lights, but painted now - which makes it harder to put LED's behind if you want doors open lights like i did to mine.

But they are a fantastic model - just need to make them DCC ready Bachmann!

  • @WindwardRailway

thats very true.. i bought the "107" SPT livery which is a fantastic model which is DCC ready. however same as you.. my 158 and 170 dont even hint at being ready for DCC.. It is a real shame..

I am currently building a small end to end layout with a single track mainline and one or two sidings...

really just to get into the ideas of scenics and wiring.... - also i am a skint student ;)

  • nice 1 , im getting a n gauge one and converting it into a 175 if all goes well :) but i only got tomorrow for the rest of the stuff to arrive or it will be after xmas :( lol

  • @Dinasdash

    Sounds like a good plan,

    Hope it arrives today!
