  • I never get tired of watching her!

  • a little loose on the last two giants but good!!!

  • I'm ten and I'm not a gymnast but she inspires me to become one!

  • nastia is best on uneven bars but shawn is best on everything else

  • look at that dismount, flawless. i love shawn.

  • She's so pretty(: And shes my favorite gymnast! Go shawn. Does anyone know if shes going to the summer olympics?

  • i love how she always sticks the dismount

  • beautiful routine. love it! i agree that she may have untapped potential, but i guess its risk vs. reward. i get downplaying it for the execution, it's what i'd do. she's amazing, love her(:

  • I love her!!!

  • amazing landing

  • all i can say is WOW!!

  • she makes me feel better about my my height XD she was soo great

  • i think shes pretty

  • Three people disliked this because they don't know what they are talking about

  • shes 4'8 she said in an interview

  • Comment removed

  • @handstandnat i believe she is 4'11"

  • nice landing!! shawn johnson's routines are great but i did see some mistakes but i thought it was a very clean routine

  • nastia, nastias mum and nastias dad all disliked this video :P

  • you know whats interesting??? shawn is sooo strong yet bars isnt her best lol

no hate to shawn!! shes so freaking awesome!!!

  • I love shawn on beam(: (but her bars was still great!)

    I love Nastia on bars(:

    I love Chellsie on floor(:

    I love Alicia on vault(:

Why do we have to choose which gymnasts we like? Each one is phenomenal on different events.

  • who one? shawn or nastia? like the whole competition?

  • @MrsAlyssaLautner i think it was shawn she won the all-round

  • @mooniecho21 It was Nastia who one the All-Around but i know that shawn won beam

  • I love her hair!

  • who could dislike this?

  • i love shawn's beam, nastia's bars, alicia's vault, and chellsie's floor

it is as if four of my favorite u.s. gymnasts from 2008 olympics fit perfectly together:)

  • @kimster521

She stuck at the all around finals in the olympics

  • @102210heart and also in prelims ;)

  • her execution is very clean, and although the skill isn't high as nastia's, it seems like her routine was made to be solid and sure instead of risky but rewarding.

  • I love her

  • She was SO close to sticking the dismount! I don't think i've ever seen her stick but I still love her.

  • Awesome

  • She is so strong. Even so, she has enough agility for this bars routine. That's why she is the overall best.

  • She's so cute in 0:04! :D

  • omg look at her leg muscles!!

  • shes the best gymnast ever i love her! :)

  • she does a double twisting double layout

if she has that much power wouldn't it be possible for her to do a double layout off of the beam? i always wondered if someone could do that, i mean i know the beam doesn't give you very much spring, but it is already 4 foot off the ground which should make up for the lack of power off the beam

any one know if someone has done a double layout off of the beam?

  • @bbhouk1 omg ya i always wanted to see a double layout off beam! I think Shawn could do it, and i wonder what it would be rated in the COP?!

  • @bbhouk1 i'm sorry but i wonder will it be possible

  • @bbhouk1 Actually Armine Barutyan (former coach of Teran Humphrey, Courtney McCool and Ivana Hong) was the first to compete a double layout dismount off of the balance beam when she competed for the Soviet Union in the early 80s. Read an article that said it was so far ahead of its time that the judges really didn't know what to do with it scoring wise.

  • @bbhouk1 not only would they have to be very short and be able to arch quite a bit, they would probably have to be very thin to not hurt their knees practicing it so much.BTW, does anyone else think that this leotard looks like a goldfish?I'm not implying anything about shawn,so don't freak out over that

  • those releases are amazing

  • Even though its not her best event, she is wonderful at bars....

  • Is she the team captain of the team?

  • does he stand there so she wont fall and hurt herself?

  • shawn is so goood on barsssssssssssssss

  • she coulda stuck that dismount:)

  • what are the deductions in this routine?

  • She's amazing, I love Shawn Johnson. I've looked up to her ever since I started gymnastics.

  • shawn is amaaazing.<3

  • The way Tim says "fabulous" at the end is hilarious.

  • Isn't that Elfie?

  • i thought that was elfi

  • shes best on beam, and nastia's best on bars but both really good!!

  • @sodapop77777 Lol. Shawn is not better than Nastia on beam. People just say that because she won the EF at the Olympics. If Nastia had given her AA beam performance that night she would have beaten Shawn. Nastia is better on bars, better on beam (by a little). Shawn is better on vault and floor.

  • @complainer101 i dissagree with you i love nastia on beam but her start value is much lower, and she doesn't have near the difficulty on beam as shawn. So shawn is better on beam, floor and vault nastia's better on bars. Both amazing

  • @moopoo66 nastia's start value on beam is only three tenths lower than shawn's

    Nastia's is 6.7 shawn's is 7.0

and there is a flaw in your logic

just because somebody has a higher difficulty on an event does not mean they're better. Beth Tweddle had a 7.8 start value on bars, but nobody thought that she was better than He Kexin or nastia, because high difficulty does not mean you're the best, especially if you have Beth tweddle's horrible form

  • shes really good at both exccelent

  • @sodapop77777 I always thought that Shawn was best on floor. Especially on day two of the Visa Championships.

  • @sodapop77777 see there it is again another comparison about nastia and shawn. its on every single video of either of them. there is no need to compare they are both great gymnasts and idk if your a gymnast but i am and i have an event that im best on and mines vault. no need to compare seriously there both great why not just appreciate that we have two great gymnasts on the US team.

  • 15.400

  • she needs more perouettes

(sorry I don't know how to spell it)

  • pirouettes. she does. y doesn't she up her SV? she tight and her routines are clean, with the exception of her giants b4 the dismount.

  • I never understood why she doesn't up it. This routine is so clean. It seems easy for her. I think she has a lot of untapped potential on bars.

  • @missjpace

she was working on another release before the olympics, but obviously it didnt work out :)

  • @missjpace couldnt agree with you more. bars seems so easy for her... i feel like she could dominate on this apparatus

  • @missjpace i think the coaches dont want it to look like its hard for her and so she can do the moves that she has mastered

  • @missjpace

What else could she do? She clearly doesn't have near the basic flexibility for stalders or endos, LOL at her even attempting Eagle. She already packs in enough releases. I mean, she just doesn't have the basics to do anything other than what she is doing.

  • @missjpace She's clean and consistent on bars with this routine & managed to win. So why would she need to up it??

  • @Elle23345 Yeah I agree, I mean she probably could up it, but Shawn never fell off bars with this routine. I think it was better for her to have a clean consistent routine, something gymnasts need to know when to do (Mustafina's Amanar for instance).

  • wow she is really good i wish i coukd do all of that!!!
