  • WOAH... MAJOR GLITCH HERE....at like 1:15, the bouncy blue thing disappears on the top ledge, but comes back at 1:20 when the ledge goes of screen.... MYSTERIOUS!!!

  • On the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, it's possible to turn on the remix music (which is heard in the Japan-only Rock Man Complete Works title Rock Man 2: Dr. Wily no Nazo, but it originated from the Heat Man stage of Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters for the arcade) by turning on Navi Mode in the Gameplay Options. This feature is not in the GameCube version, however.

  • MMAC has a rapid fire button (on the GC, XBox, and PS2, I believe), so it's more likely he's holding down the rapid fire button rather than mashing the regular fire button.

  • Yes, that's exactly the firing technique I'm using for the Mega Buster/Plasma shot (I do use the normal fire shot for most Robot Master weapons, though). The rapid fire feature is indeed available for all three versions of the game.

  • I wanted to demostrate the gameplay from the Mega Man Anniversary Collection with Navi Mode set on, which also activates the remix music within the Xbox and PlayStation 2. If you would like to, I can put up the remix music for Heat Man's stage only played in a separate video.

  • The Xbox version of the game is also said to have remix music for the first six Mega Man games. The lack of it in the GameCube version of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection may be due to the small disc size for the console.

  • True, but the music tracks were quite lengthly with a running time of an estimated five minutes (this can apply to the NES music, too, since it fades outs and plays again on the DVD). Plus, the GameCube version did have the interview with Keiji Inafune in it, which could have taken a large amount of space on the 8mm(?) discs, also.

  • Yeah, and also the unlockable techno music that can be listened to in the "Secrets" area. I was thinking of mentioning on the games, but I wasn't quite sure how much they were taking up exactly.

  • Yes, that is true. A number of others have noticed that some of the remix music tracks are used from the two Mega Man arcade games, which are available in the compliation. For the later games in particular, a good amount of the remixes don't come from them, however.

  • The remixed tracks for Mega Man 4-6 were from the Rockman Complete Works PS1 compilation that was only released in Japan back in 99. (along with the Navi mode feature)

  • I was aware of the compliation. Several resources I've read had mentioned that the Navi Mode and the remix tracks for the later games originate from there, but I've also seen that it was released in 1997.

  • So there was no way to shorten the recorded music and loop it correctly?

  • I don't know if that even was considered or attempted, but maybe a single or double loop of all of the remix tracks still would be too big to fit on the DVD (and both money and time-consuming figuring how to loop it). Perhaps, if it had to load the tracks everytime the music would start again (this isn't always the case in CD-based games, but the NES music also had to fade out before starting again), it might have also sounded too awkward to be acceptable.

    you can fit tons of music on even the 1Gb GC disc they all use mp3's for music theses day but they add the own compersson so you dont rip it so easy.

    capcom was just lazy to add it in.

  • That can be the case, considering that 1 Gigabit (that is, if you've meant Gigabit judging from the typed acronym; Gigabyte has the abbreviation "GB" whilst Gigabit is "Gb" for short) is equivalent to 125 Megabytes, if my calculations serve me correctly. It is unknown of what Capcom's intentions were for not including the remix tracks in the GameCube version of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, nor if a large size DVD disk was available to them during development (cost or technical wise).

  • my bad on the GB. but its 1.5GB total still thats alot of space for the for that generation of video games.
