very nice piece--and a lot of work! Are some of these pieces that you posted from an album called Student's Classics? I have this album and enjoy it very much---would like to hear more pieces from it, too!
@ohyeah217 Indeed it is from that album, and I have posted pieces from the sister albums. It is an interesting source of music that was once popular in US but not necessarily so in UK, and the print is easy to read.
@Fatsnail13 Thank you! I think it would be pretty meaningless to put out a piece by a composer few people have heard of without saying something, just so viewers can hear the piece in some sort of context!
This piece must be difficult to play. You make it sound and by the way you play it so easy. What a delight! Thank you for posting it Mr. Sears.

@universoeterno1 Thank you. It is not really difficult but requires reasonably strong fingers.

It has definite similarities of theme, mood and style with the early C major Rondo by Beethoven.

@gerardbedecarter Is that the Op. 51 / 1 rondo that dfscott13 mentioned?
PSearPianist 1 year ago
I recognize a few similarities between this Rondo and Beethoven's Rondo in C major, Op. 51 No. 1. You should check that out.

@dtscott13 Will do, and will amend my description if needs be!

@dtscott13 Subsequent to my earlier comment, I had a look at the score. I could not see any thematic links, but certainly it is similar texturally.

@dtscott13 I agree, it does remond me of that Rondo - not qoting the actual themes, but the textures and the way the themes are treated.

I love how when ever you share some work, you give some information on the composer. Thank you for this lovely performance.
