  • i used to have 2 orange guns on my 3DO heheh

  • @soulbytes You were very lucky. I'm a PAL user, so we used joypads, which ruined the 3Do version. I still loved these games mind you ;)

  • BRING 3DO EMULATOR FOR ANDROID AND IOS

  • I'm glad games moved away from full motion video cut-scenes to went to rendered cut-scenes. The acting in some of these games was truly embarrassing.

But, I gotta say, Mad Dog McCree, despite the horrible acting, was amazing back in its day.

  • these were way to expensive when they came out...hate most of the live video sequences but seems like theres some interesting titles...zhadnost seems real cool...are there any zelda, chronotrigger like rpgs for it?

  • @bassbuzz1234 are we talking about your fabulous contribution? It really added a lot and was invaluable. oh no wait... No it wasn't, it was pointless and antagonistic for apparently no good reason, other than your prepubescent hormones got to let off a little steam. Listen, kid, sod off and have a w**k, and if you haven't got anything worth saying, don't say it. okay?

  • i had Mad Dog McCree for PC but i was young and i didnt know english, so i couldnt figure out wth that game was about. it ended if i killed someone and if i didnt they'd kill me. i got so confused lol. good times.

i had to go through most games that had text by trial and error. i can't explain but everthing had this weird feel to it. like everthing was alien.

when i learned english things got so easy, so... "familiar"... it actually became a little boring. i miss that "alien aura" games had.

  • @gexxy47 -- so it took you almost 6 minutes to realise you were bored and the topic wasn't relevenant to you? Not 10 or 20 Seconds, but a full 5 minutes 45 seconds. And then you felt you had post this fact, Great you really are a brilliant example of he species. thanks for passing by, Good Lord, is the special needs unit using this youb tube channel to help mentally challenged people integrate?

anyone else think this guy is actually a loser?

  • @3dokid dude I was obviously fucking around. Shut the hell up jesus. Yes I will use the lords name in vain. And you can call a WKC world champion a loser, if that's for you... :).

  • @gexxy47 feel free to break any of the commandments or dead deadly sins over a games console video.

(...can someone get me a priest and a realist please. ASAP. ;) )

  • @3dokid foolishness.

  • @gexxy47. No where near as foolish as you nasty little negative idiots who trawl the web criticising without actually contributing. You worry about blaspheming? You're the joke.

  • @gexxy47 for the price of the 3do when it came out....i would rather have a neo-geo. i know you hate atari but what about neo-geo the greatest console to ever be created?

  • @3dokid

and what kinda retard are you ?.

  • Oh sorry for insulting your favorite console, I guess even use that piece of junk in my case I never use this machine is more expensive than the play station 3 and games all stupid and boring and quiet I kept playing and masturbating for your 3do

  • Fuck console piece of shit , y se los digo de nuevo esta consola fue una mierda de la grandes y sus juegos pura caca jajajaja dan lastima el monton de hijueputas que compraron esta cagada

  • @rycosky You are clearly another quality member of the human race. It's a pleasure to have your insightful comments.

  • i want one but cant find any : (

  • what music play 0:45?

  • Return Fire is the best 3DO game, also Gex and Samurai Spirits.

  • Little is know of this but the 3DO was not just meant top be a games machine is also had a video player a radio on it, also it did have all the avaliabe ports for it to be upgraded as well from 32 to 64 bit plus panasonic themselves said it would of been able to play dvd and vcds in the few years it was out, unfortunaly the system flopped lower than whale shit strapped to a boulder because of the price tag and no 3rd party support.

  • @3dokid what song playing on 0:45?

  • Omg army men world war best game ever when I was a kid

  • Interesting. Didn't know wolfshield was the obvious pre-cursor to the 'strike' series of games.

  • i wonder if their be a 4DO just sayin and if its going against PS3/360 LOL idk wut would happen

  • OMG you got the cowboy game...that thing was hard as shit to play with the d pad...easier with the gun, what about corpse killer and crime patrol?

  • anyone remember the victormaxx virtual reality helmet for Super Nintendo?...talk about migraines man..that thing sucked..but it did serve well for constructing your own at home virtual reality with better panels.

  • can somebody remind me a game where you playing vampire? by 3d0

  • Meanwhile, anyone know the name of the song at 0:45?

  • 3dokid: Could you please post the names of the songs you used in these videos?

  • the graphics of young guns are the most realistic of any game till today ! !!! ;p

  • We ad the Jag and the 3D0!! Loved them...Pity they didnt take off.

  • Wow, there was 50 games made for the 3DO? My friend had a 3DO and our city only stocked just over a dozen of them. Most of them were pretty awful.

  • What's the cowboy game called!!!!

  • Although I still saying bitch ass console cleaned and point and more boring crap games

  • @rycosky Gente como tú coloca en vergüenza a todos los hispano-hablantes.

  • So spec wise which was better, 3DO or the Atari Jag? looking at this video i would say this was a more powerful system but just wondering thanks :)

  • @Johfunu

Not much in it to be honest. Tantamount to the difference between 360/PS3 I suppose. It didn't matter how they juggled the numbers or the chip spec's or anything, 1993 was only capable of producing hardware of a certain spec.

  • @Johfunu Back in the day people said atari Jag was more powerful. But 3DO games looked a lot better.

I think the Atari Jag was a 32-bit parallel system making it a 64-bit system.

I know thats how TG-16 did it also.

  • @Johfunu The Jaguar is a lot more powerful (with good programmers) than the 3DO, especially when the Jag CD is attached. Check out Doom for them both (before you go on about the sound. The 3DO pulls sound from the CD)

  • @meowmmmmm No. The 3DO out of the box pwned a Jaguar out of the box. Even with the CD attachment, the Jag couldn't matched the more richly textured polygons of 3DO.

  • @BudzMcgr33n

The Jaguar could actually blow away the 3D0 in textures...at least according to the hardware specs. But who cares what a system is theoretically capable of? The reality is that most Jaguar games were written directly to the 16 bit Motorola 68000 chip, completely bypassing the higher end "Tom" and "Jerry" co-processors. So you're right - 3D0 destroys the Jaguar, simply because the cat got taken to the vet.

  • @DejaVoodooDoll I'm just relying on the best games I've played for each. I never saw the Jag's graphics reach the level of Total Eclipse or Crash n Burn for 3DO.

  • JESUS!!! SHOCKWAVE!!!!!

  • There were 50 3D0 games?

  • wow I didn't even know the 3do had 50 games!

  • @rycosky EN LA EPOCA ERA NOVEDOSO!!, PENSABAS QUE EN ESE AÑO EXISTIA EL PLAY STATION 3 NO? PONTE A PENSAR EN LO QUE DICES.

  • 3D in 17 MHz, that's amazing, i need a 3DO Console :O

  • waste of first 45 secs....

  • Ooh ooh, pick the dirty Sanchez family!

  • @3dokid Spanish fail.

  • @gorillazhead Nop. I'm Portuguese and I understood everything what he said. It's latin.

  • well, this console told me that the realistic games with real faces and stories were kind of vanished of the 2010's, it's much easier to sell "bomb pleasures" ! i'm one of these costumers too, but i'd like some histories of any kind not just terrors(thrillers) like resident evil, but any other think. i don't know maybe just a few would buy it, that's sad

  • Does anybody know whats the melody that starts ant famnily feud 0:43 PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ tell me it ends at shock wave 2 3:07

  • 3:33 I remember reading in an old gamepro magazine that chick was in playboy =) I got lots of memories with that game. I will now also whisper """"American Laser Games""""""

  • i think theese cosoles are fuking great u can play movies on them

  • I have a 3do system it turns on and comes to the begginning screen but it wont play game, whats more than likely wrong with it and can it be fixed?

  • @yourjams It sounds like the laser eye needs to be cleaned. Easily done if its an FZ-10 model. If not you may have to remove the cover by taking the 4 screws out from the bottom. Lift off the top cover and remove the 2 screws holding the CD-rom shroud on. That should allow access to the laser eye. Use a cotton swab and some isopropal alcohol to clean laser eye. Your 3DO should work again.

  • army men pwns!!

  • remember my childhood

  • My fav's if i can remember names exactly:

Return of Fire, Demolition Man, Star Fighter, Theme Park, umm i need reminding lol =D

  • the best part of 3DO is u can play burned copies of the game iso in the unit!! NO mod needed!!

  • I found a boxed goldstar 3do for 25$ with only 5$ shipping costs, and thought this was a pretty good deal except it has no cables with it. since the system was a licensed product I thought they would use generic power and av cables. what kind of scart cable can I use on this system, or is it best to let this one skip?

  • Pick that up fast!! All ya need is a standard A/V cable, the red white and yellow kind... Power cord is attached to the goldstar..

  • cool thnx. I bought it. another question can I use other controllers with the 3do than the regular ones like you could with atari 5200?

  • You can use an SNES controller with the 3DZero tap,i believe is what it was called. But that was the extent of allowing diff. manufactured controllers. There are several diff. styles of 3DO controllers available. 1 of my favs. was known as 3DO controller pad 2. There are a couple on ebay right now for less than $5.

  • 7:50 love the Sailor Moon intro and then skips to a 2d street fighter imitation lol

  • number 1: KILLING TIME!

  • return fire, panzer general, crash n burn, the horde... the 3do had such great games

  • Remember Space Ace?

  • MAd dog Mc Cree...have played that ONE time in a LONDON arcade hall...would luv to play that again ......

  • I'm selling my 3d0 FZ-1 w/14 games & 2 controllers on ebay. Anyone interested check it out. My seller id is Anaag... I started the price at $80 & have a buy it now of $165...

  • I sold it for $170..So suck it...

  • Someone who would appreciate it.

  • have u ever heard of sumthing called a collecteble??

AND maybe if u were a big fan of games when u were a kid(im talking about when atari was popular)it is exellnt to have old systems u grew up with

  • what I'm saying is that you can buy the system AT A MUCH LOWER PRICE! SO WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY IT AT THAT PRIce1

  • LOL did u not read when i pretty much called it a collectable??

they stopped selling them so tell me were u could get them for cheaper untill then ur proven wrong

    gf sir LOL

  • @ripppking Yea but "collecting" is just unforgivable.

Chasing rare old systems and paying more then everyone else just to sit them in a cabinet collection.

This kills old consoles and computers.

  • I agree. Blue.

  • what a funny guy.

  • Admit it you couldn't afford it..it's ok

  • Yea, I couldn't! lol

  • when the FZ-10 3DO came out did it also retail for $699? It looks like a much cheaper machine, and I know it was released in '95

  • The FZ10 was £299 (I imagine $299) and very quickly became $199

  • it was an impressive multimedia console back in the day, but far too expensive and with not enough support

  • for some relaxed watching ;) 0:43 30. Family Feud 1:57 29. Ice Breaker 3:07 28. Shock Wave II 3:51 27. Mad Dog McCree 4:52 26. Total Eclipse 5:38 25. Theme Park 6:07 24. Puzzle Bobble 6:31 23. Return Fire 7:09 22. Lemmings 7:45 21. Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon
  • I used to fight with my ex all the time because she was sexually attracted to Mad Dog McCree. God I hated that crazy bitch. Evidently she fantasized about the old man during our lovemaking.

  • rofl!

  • now that is just epically funny. wow.

  • With a name like Gluteus Dinglecrank I would do the same.

  • We don't all have names as normal as Iceman1234aa!

  • Costed 600$

  • RETURN FIRE!!! That game rules em all!!!

  • it certainly does.

  • Was commenting on the first part.... Family Feud...

You were right, "blue" is a kind of whale...

"killer", as the game suggests as a whale, is actually a dolphin.

  • I was right? Wow. Better get my mum and tell her. :) Thanks :)

  • Hehe, didn't mean to sound condecending...

I just think it's funny for a supposed "quiz" game to be so bloody wrong!

    LoL!

  • I can't criticise the game - I didn't know either LOL. but I am right in one respect - most people would have said 'Blue' right? ;)

  • dam 500 dallor for that shit i will never pay that much on that crap

  • Preecher? Is that you? We missed you, you know? The gaming philosophical society miss your input greatly.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!

  • these games brings back the good times *sigh*

  • great choice of music btw , it fits really well, ,good job. :--)

  • thank you

  • it was awesome being 13 and saving like $500 to get a 3DO then a few months later they stop making games.....atleast I got to play way of the warrior-I used to love that game

  • LoL!!! Killer whales aren't even whales.... LOL

  • yup , apparently its part of the "Dolphin" family .

  • really? It's not really my fault, they shouldn't put the word 'Whale' in it's title. I mean...

  • Very underrated system.

  • i remember going into a store and they had 3DO, Jaguar, Playstation and Saturn....all the new CD systems.

everyone got the playstation cuz it had a lot of games but most sucked and they all looked bad....wtf 90's youth???

  • I still love my Jaguar + jag CD =)

  • @Primogen18 Yea pity all the dumbass collectors are buying all the Jaguars (especially dev machines) and jagcd's and sitting them in a glass cabinet as part of a collection, after being willing to pay ridiculous amounts is preventing real people with atari falcons like me getting started at development on the jaguar.

  • yeah, game systems are meant to be played, and ive played the living hell out of my jaguar! I need my AVP fix from time to time, on the REAL original AVP. Iron Soldier is still alot of fun from time to time.

  • Awesome nice1 uploader.

  • OMG Mad dog Mc Gree!!!! MEMORIES!!!!! :P Awesome

  • tl;dw

  • Yes. Good.

  • 3do were so cool, first time i saw themepark i think and nfs, had some crazy games aswell like nightrap.

  • I remember playing this at Fry's Electronics when there was some type of RTS game on it. I'd say it was around 1995ish. Anyways, the games remind me a lot of the Sega CD games. They incorporated more videos into their games a that time.

  • there was this one 3DO game I use to play as a kid... it was scary (for its time) and there were ghosts in it everywhere. I forgot the name... any help?

  • Escape from Monster Manor?

  • That's the one!

  • Theme Park was awesome. I put quite a few hours into that one. I miss watching amusement park rides explode and kids getting stuck in the worst places...

  • yeah there is a version for the Nintendo DS but it isnt the same

  • you're right about the midland bank, cos i still have my griffin saver pencil case from 87 lol !

  • top wrong games?

  • Memory games: Games like Dragons Lair and Braindead 13 I prefer to watch. I do not enjoy playing those games.

My favourite memory game on the 3DO was "Strahl". It is like a Japanese Anime. I liked very much playing Strahl because the direction you must press was displayed on the screen.

  • When I was small and tapeworm eleven years of age, tapeworm sega mega drive pirate but who was equal to the original one.And memory that in the show windows was 3DO and sega CD,but I could not buy them since they were very expensive; Also memory that in the Arcades was very popular that one game of firing of cattle men(men of the desert)And memory that I immensely wished to have that one game Dragons Lair of 3DO and Sega CD,and until I had the opportunity to play the one of 3DO and was spectacular

  • the best 50 games?? if that console only have 30 o 35!!!!

  • Erm, it had about 250 games.

  • i still have my 3DO sitting ina the original box on the floor in my room i havent played since 97

  • Return Fire was awesome

  • Puzzle Bobble is also known as Bust-a-move in certain countries.

  • Isn't that "Bust-A-Move"?

  • Crystal dynamics made some really wicked games. I'd like to try playing Total Eclipse. Too bad they just make Lara Croft games that I don't really care about. Gex and Pandemonium were very replayable like you find Total Eclipse to be. 3D Sailor moon scares me and it looks a big like something from MUGEN, if you know what that is. Family feud sucks, I'd of ripped it out and put it in a microwave.

  • Back in 1994 Crystal Dynamics were eager-go-getters, with high ideals and wild dreams, free from the shackles of convention.

Now obviously it's a faceless corp churning out cynical sequels.

Crash 'n burn was also pretty good for the 3DO. Legacy of Kain was very good too but obviously not for the 3DO.

  • I've got a great article you might like, search google for "Greggman on Gex". It's about what they were going through when contracted to make Gex. From the way things are looking they probably wont make Legacy of Kain for Xbox360 or PS3. I'd love to be wrong though.

  • Thank you for that, it was a good read.

It's astonishing that the game is as good as it is after reading that isn't it?

  • Why would you do a 3DO top??? Top 50? That's 1/3 of 3DO's glut of crap.I'm pretty sure I'm happier with Jaguar's 2000 and Missile Command games than any of those games

  • LOL.

  • I want a 3DO so badly

  • Mad dog mcree omg i had that back on my pentium 200mhz pc !

  • The more I watch this, the better the 3D0 looks. 3d0 kid, you said it didn't do as well because it was under spec compared to the psx and n64.. but really, it was the price. 3D0 was CRAZY expensive. As much as a PS3 now but in early 90's money. Not to mention that people considered it less acceptable to spend money on games at the time as well.

I keep thinking of the 3D0 being like the Jaguar in the sense of being over hyped capabilities wise.. but I don't think they really exaggerated it much.

  • I gave, GAVE, my friend who lived in Kentucky my 3D0. I really meant to let him borrow it. I was dating a girl who lived down there at the time and meant to come back and get it and then we broke up and I haven't talked to him since.

For a while I didn't care... I figured there would be a good 3d0 emulator on the way. I really need to get that back. All I had left by then was Doom (terrible port).

    I can't find 3D0s anywhere now. I have a god damn Vectrex and I can't find a 3D0.

  • Too bad 3DO isnt in bussines

  • ice breaker rules!!!

  • sucks the system was not taking seriously

  • I think it was just a little under specc'ed compared with the PSX, Saturn and whatever the code name was for the N64.

In 1993 3DO was hot! No doubt about it. By 1996 it was less so. Partly Sega and Sonys doing, partly 3DO themselves.

  • 3DO was awesome

  • Is of cause the correct answer! :)

  • good ole mad dog mc Cree. My gun didn't work so I had to use the controller to play it.

I forgot to say is guardian war on the list? because I thought guardian war was a great rpg strategy game. I am sure you gave super street fighter II turbo or street fighter II turbo a good rating too?

  • Yes to both. Guardian War was Power Kingdoms in the UK and Japan, and it was brilliant. I place it pretty high up my list of favourites. Street Fighter was always ace :)

  • 3dokid did you have killing time or monster manor on the list?

  • Hi there,

No I didn't. I was still pretending to hate FPS games when I made this.

Funnily enough I recently got into Killing Time and would in fairness put it in the top 10. It was excellent. Genuinely very good indeed and very playable today. If you can see past the frame rate.

As for Escape from Monster Manor? The baddies look awesome in Monster Manor - but the game is dreadful unfortunately. So no - it didn't make it in.

    All the best!

    3DOkid.

  • FUCKING BLUE!!!!

  • damn right.

  • Return Fire! Thank you, could not remember the name of that game for the life of me. Great to see it again, thanks kid.

  • It has some pretty good games! Nice collection 3DO kid! I subscribed!

  • Bluuuuuue!!! =))

  • It was wasn't it? The damn answer is obviously Blue Whale. Stupid, stupid, stupid game. Killer? WTF?

  • LOL sailor moons.

I used to laugh how the guy said "Fight!!"

    Priceless.

  • I loved Total Eclipse also. I paid 700 dollars for the 3DO.

  • Total eclipse is one of the biggest jumps in graphics i have ever seen. It graphicly smoked every arcade game out in its day.

I saw Stunned the 1st time I saw it!!!

  • I miss Mad Dog McCree!

  • ::::whispers:::: "American Laser Games" LMFAO

i never got to play the first mad dog.and not having the gun pist me off with the controller.but i still enjoyed the fmv's

  • omg that whisper still haunts me in my dreams!!!!!! :O

  • yeah, the light guns were HARD to find, but damn good quality. I got lucky and found out eventually

  • You didn't say the name of #37. What is that game?

  • You mean #27 Mad dog? Which it says?

  • LMAO at the Family Feud part.

  • yay the sailormoon game!!!! its my fave 3DO game XDD

  • you have some really good games in this video. i can't imagine what you're going to have in the top 20.

  • come-on. There are some easy choices ;)

  • Thinking the final part needs the Duke Nukem theme playing while finishing off the ataryans. Lets rock...
