  • @TheHappyLittleKitten That's not a sax, Mr. Hirt as you can see in this image, played the trumpet.

  • @TheHappyLittleKitten you're an idiot.

  • Ahh! - So this is where that Perrey and Kingsley track was from

  • ohw yeah !

  • jeeze, over 725k veiws and 19 dislikes , truly, the sign of good music.

  • FK YEAH

  • Al hirt has the most precision on this it is so hard to tong that quickly.

  • If there was a game called Trumpet Hero, this song would be the final boss.

  • @LibraHorse1 that game would suck cause nearly noone could beat the last boss

  • @LibraHorse1 this comment made my day.

  • @LibraHorse1

well..no .. It wont be there...because it's impossible to play it.. only AL HIRT can do it this fast..

  • Chuck Norris and a Kazoo??

  • @106321 He must suck some serious dick then. Norris is a pussy and the trend of him being this badass(which he's not even close to being in reality) is getting very old and shows that you're just a sheep.

  • NO ONE even come close to Al Hirt for technical precision for this piece. Al truly was one of if not the greatest trumpeters the world has ever seen

  • @Eddlb

    Ahem....

     /watch?v=xhjO_H004v8

  • I can play this song with my ass. And my girlfriend can do it with her vagina.

  • @LibraHorse1 U r clearly No trumpeter, so... Stop trolling!!

  • @LibraHorse1 that's how you get after being penetrated by me.

  • @LibraHorse1 would it be the same trumpet in both holes?

  • Genius! Love this theme, and of course, the Green Hornet was a great show. Even if you weren't born in the era, you can't help but want to get up and do a 60's, arm waving dance to this song.

  • I love the green hornet this is the best theme ever for Tv, movies, I really also like the new green hornet movie but the tv show is better than the movie

  • I love Al Hirt's music, it is a shame more people don't know about him today. So many hidden gems when you explore music from several decades ago.

  • Love this song******

  • Everyone is arguing about what the song is called and I'm over here feeling like I'm the only one who associates this song with Kill Bill.

  • @srhfrgsn99 me too dude!

  • @srhfrgsn99 That's because this piece was written as the theme song for "The Green Hornet" TV series over 40 years before Kill Bill was even conceived. That's what I will always remember it for.

  • FODASTICOOOO

  • Al is the MAN!!! He can play my theme song anytime!

  • This is te big band rock that fills my soul up till my throat, it creeps all over my body! He's so horribly cool

  • Like if Kill Bill brought you here :)

  • @TrueGritFan95 i feel like a lame mainstreamer because I associate this with the Green Hornet instead of Korsikov

  • @Nertrender- Nahh .Think of it as expanding your musical appreciation, albeit though American T.V..The Lone Ranger

used The 1812 Overture, and that was WAY before this.

  • @jager18903 yeah you are right. I actually listen to the radio show more than I watch the tv show

  • It was William Tel by Rosini !!!

  • @jager18903 You are wrong, the Long Rangre theme was part of William Tell by Rosini

  • @alejorbm - True.I'm wrong.Won't be the last time,I'll bet.

  • best theme song ever

  • A 19 personas les pico una avispa en el cu...

  • I'd probably explode trying to hit that many high notes D:

  • very cool

  • i have bad lungs, so if i did that i would be dead at :07

  • ladies and gentlemen, seth rogen's pathetic rape of the green hornet has proven itself to be both a critical and a commercial failure. as a franchise, its dead i nthe water, and its a forgone conclusion it wont be getting a sequel. cran kthis up and celebrate:)

  • @nightowl685

It's a travesty they destroyed 25 Chrysler Imperials just for that movie.

  • @maxman1602 really? ugh! well lets remember those cars, their sacrifice was not in vain! god willing they are up in cool car heaven, and will be looking down and watching in happiness, when the property is rebooted by somebody who actually cares about it, and isnt just raping the characters at an attempt for another minute of fame, lol:)

  • i love tarantino movies because of music of 70' in his movies.. just for dancin

  • Yep that DR Hirt allright! still put us all to shame

  • :O....!!!

  • i'd probably pass out tryin to play the trumpet like that.

  • @XLondonX411 He's a big guy, but it's not fat, that's just where he keeps his extra lungs.

  • That is just pure skill. Coming from a trumpet player, my mind is blown at how he can get that high, and keep at a fast pace!

  • einfach krank geil

  • YEAH KILL BILL. RUDDY BASTARD

  • Kill Bill anyone?

  • lol, this music woke me up every cold, dark winter morning during school

  • R.I.P. Al Hirt

  • Love this theme song, the Green Hornet Rules...

  • I can play that - on a record player

  • damn shame they don't air the original Green Hornet series with Van Williams and Bruce Lee anymore. THAT was good programing.

  • @winxclublover Yes, it was. I used to watch it when it first aired back in 1967, and I still think that it's totally cool!

  • @winxclublover

You can still catch it on syfy sometimes if your lucky

  • Al was one of the greatest trumpet players of his time, as a soloist, band leader, jazz club owner, and all-around master of many styles. After his injury in 1970 he managed somewhat of a comeback but never achieved the high levels he set in recordings like this.

  • I will use this on Left 4 Dead 2 to when a zombie horde is coming.

  • @xxJAGOBAxx I was thinking the same exact thing.

  • This is NOT "Flight of the Bumble Bee," although it is reminiscent of it.

It is "The Green Hornet Theme," written and arranged by Billy May, and is included on Al Hirt's 1966 album "The Horn Meets The Hornet." It was used as title music in the 1966-67 ABC tv series, "The Green Hornet," and in the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino's 2003 movie, "Kill Bill."

  • this is such a challenging song to play but he is just an amazing trumpet player :)

  • How can you not like this tune, for shame 17 dislikers. You know who you are.

  • This guy is crazy wow. it's like he had sex with that trumpet. Simply awesome!!!!

  • Anybody know where I can find a version of this awesome song without the solosist?

  • This song would make a great alarm to wake up to lol.

  • Kill Bill =/

  • I envision a 60's Bond girl shakin her ass to this.

  • @unclep1971 I think you meant Adam West in a batman suit?

  • @zmittie Sort of.

The original Radio show used the classic "Flight of the Bumble Bee" as the theme becasue they did not have to pay royalties. The "Billy May" version was made for the T.V. show but is very much "Flight."

  • How do you "dislike" this?????

A cool theme AND a great performer.

  • Green Hornet!!!!

  • They didn't call him the "Round Man of Sound" for nothing!!

  • I agree that this not The Flight of the Bumble Bee, though you can hear that it's based upon it. The original radio show did use it, though.

  • @iricfox Absolutely correct: The radio version of The Green Hornet did use "Flight of the Bumblebee" as its main theme.

  • There were 17 dislikers...Chuck Norris was among them out of a long-standing grudge with Bruce Lee...

  • damn

he can really blow that thing.....

  • 17 people... dislike this song.

  • As if the original piece wasn't difficult enough! lol love this song :-D

  • Another challenge for the Green Hornet, his aide Kato, and their rolling arsenal, the Black Beauty!

  • mi sono punto

  • I had the pleasure of attending Al's night club in New Orleans a couple of times. He always put on a good show. By chance I met him in person on a riverboat holiday cruise, essentially an early Christmas celebration. He was a really nice guy to talk with. However, he had one little failing. At the time, he was on his honeymoon with his 4th wife. Couldn't keep the wives happy. Oh, well, nobody is perfect.

  • @kegginstructure maybe his wives couldnt keep him happy xD

  • Now i feel dizzy but i can't stop listening to this :)

  • Que toque de tronpeta buenisimo this is amazing I like

  • Amazing... this is amazing.

  • Even at a young age I could always appreciate this song. Like Flight of the Bumblbee with Attitude.

  • This music is writting by someone whos on heavy prozac

  • I NEED THE SHEET MUSIC FOR THIS!!!!!

  • @kugles92 I've been trying to get the sheet music for the pan flute part in the Karate Kid. I've never been able to find it. Good luck on getting the Green Hornet.

  • HOW DO YOU PLAY THIS? WHERE CAN I GET THE SHEET MUSIC???

  • So catchy :D

  • Crap... I Cant Stop Listening to it...

  • Double Orgasm.

  • @RawrpancakeBOTDF octouple orgasm

  • I thought it was cool how Seth Rogen kept the original theme in the new movie. A lot of the comic book hero movie remakes take them out.

  • 16 people thought the name "Green Bee" was better.

  • Pure dynamite !

  • Kill Bill!

  • Still the best rendition of this song.

Makes me what to jump into my Black beauty and go fight crime.

Too bad there was never a Hornetess.

  • This brings back memories :D

The Green Hornet will always be one of my favorite shows. Went to see the movie 2 days ago... Still legendary!

  • Al Hirt was the man. The theme song was one of the reasons I used to watch the original Green Hornet when it was on t.v..

  • I really wish that i could hit the like button more than once

  • this is insane

  • Someone said...."Dude's got lungs of steel".....WTH??? more like he got Condom rubber made lungs.......flexible...and XXXXXL!

  • I saw the movie. EPICNESS XD

  • Al Hirt, and Maynerd Ferguson were really incredible on the horn,

Yea it would take a really good person to play this piece,

both of them were really something on the horn,

never see talent like that much these day's,

Satchmo,,,, louis Armstrong could do it too,

I know that for a fact,

  • I played trumpet and once tried to play this. Once was enough. Really messed up the lungs trying to reach Maynard Ferguson's range.

  • @doc2skate my god are you alright??
