Is there a video where the voices are cut out of this trailer and you can only hear the music? I've searched every where but I only find other stuff then the music played in the backround at this trailer.
I am sorry to say but this technology still doesn't work. Characters look as if they were made of plastic rubber, it works for animated films but not want-to-be-real films. Human face is one of the most difficult things to animate because of the millions of micro-gestures we can make in micro-seconds. Just watch carefully minute 1:04 and you will understand...
@MySmoshfan1 Before I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in IMAX, I saw the trailer in 3D. It was really cool that it popped out of the screen.
ok, so wat we got is Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Edgar Wright, Steven Moffat, Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Paramount and Nickelodeon studios (who also made Rango), the digital effects company behind Avatar and the Lord of the Rings, and a beloved comic character.
now, call me naive, but dont you think this is almost destined to be a success?
You mix Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson in a blender together and you're automatically going to receive something delicious and satisfyingly sweet. ^,^ There's no doubt that T.A.O.T *secrets of the Unicorn* will be a revolutionary breakthrough in motion capture animation. I mean that's what Mr. Spielberg's known for...breakthroughs.
Haha. He must have lost a bet to Zemeckis. Lucas, Cameron, Jackson, Zemeckis and now Spielberg are too obsessed with tech to care about story anymore. 3D sucks and so do all of the movies they've made recently.
Luckily TV programs have budgets, which means creativity is a must, better writing and acting.
@pestyoverlord excuse me? this is the first movie made only out of tech by Cameron and Spielberg as i know..
it's a toy for them.. at least let them play with it for awhile and take the good stuff with them to the old film making so they can blow your mind again.
When It Said "A Unicorn!" Me and my friend laughed are butts off. We went to go see Super 8 when this trailer came. It was sooo funny..." A Unicorn!" XD XD XD XD
I almost fainted when I saw this................. Tintin was my all-time favourite cartoon as a kid. And when I saw Steven Moffat on the movie poster, I think I did faint........
@conniemints really? that's totally awesome! i can't remember a single episode but i remember thinking at like 4 or 5 how strange it was that the show had guns in it, since I thought it was supposed to be for kids
@brusselleke You're from Belgium? That's awesome man! I loved Tintin when I was younger. I can't wait for this movie. It wasn't until later that I learned that Herge' had made more books than the ones sold in the US. I was really bummed about that.
@brusselleke well of coarse. Between you me, Herge was a technical genius at story telling. The secret of the Unicorn is my personal favorite but the one that stands out the most is Explorers on the Moon. Herge drew that before Nil Armstrong had ever set foot on the moon. He was working essentially with theories as to how the moon works and for the most part, he 95% correct. The only mistake I can think of is the space helmuts without cosmic ray protection visors.
Dude! i used to watch this show when i was like 4 or 5 when it was on nickelodeon....for the longest time i thought i had made it up since noone knew what the hell i was talking about when i mentioned it....lol good to know it was a real show
@Amoraklin2 your mental in the head. stephen spielberg has produced more kids movie then you fucking know from the 80s and 90s. to it say it will bury his career, is like saying james cameron will bury his career for making a movie based on pokemon. it will never happen, but if it did, his career be lost. you dont anything about the movie buisness. its all about ratings
wtf, I didn't know TinTin (or Kuifje in dutch) was popular enough to have a full-length animation film with these HUGE names. the caps indicate how huge they are.
I don't know why they didn't make it live action. I mean the series was 2D animated so making it 3D animated isn't really giving the audience something new. And Tintin still has that stupid fucking hair.
is this a movie or a game??? I read about the movie on Wikipedia, and I thought it was with real people and I got really exited, but..... NO REAL JAMIE BELL?!?!?! Hell no!! -.-'

@mazioma I totally agree !
Reading comics I always imagined a guy more or less like C.N.
Also Gerard Butler in some 300 shots reminds me a lot of Haddock.
The Spielberg-Jackson Haddock, on the contrary, has something wrong, don't know exactly what but they didn't hit the resemblance imo.
