He's still out there, pounding it out on the club circuit. I saw Leon 2 weeks ago on James Island near Charleston, SC

He and his band cooked through medleys of Stones, Chuck Berry, and his tunes. A very fine night and Leon still has the pipes!

Leon is my HERO, he's the one person in the world I like to meet. I got to see him in Enid Okla. at a HOG Rally, it was great, there were only 100 people there and I got to walk right up to him while he was playing, I was so close I could have touched him. I've seen him every year for the last 5 years or so. I hope I get to see him again this year. Last year it was on my birthday, coolist birthday I've ever had.

FYI: If you like Mary Russell too, she had an album (possibly her debut album) out in the early 70's on the Shelter label. The title of the album is "Jezebel". It is a masterpiece. I still listen to it.
