@SUPRA91411 My adult gymnastics class is almost entirely male! A lot of the time there's only 1 other woman there, besides me. Adult gymnastics seems to be very popular with men, actually.
I did gymnastics when was little. Pretty much started as soon as I could walk and then I stopped when I was about 9 and level four. I really liked it, but I did it at a park district and my coach was mean, i felt like i wasnt getting anywhere. Anyway, I'm 18 now and I was just googling and decided to randomly look up adult gymnastics. Well, Im going to school n Chicago in the fall and there is a place about 10 minutes away from my schol that does adult gymnastics. I'm so excited. I cant wait!=)
Good for you! I love when adults try something new. I did gymnastics for many years & got back into the sport 3 years ago (I am almost 34)........13 years & 2 kids later. Keep up the work.........& keep inspiring others to get involved!
I'm sooo happy I found this video!!!! I'm actually about to leave for my first ever adult gymnastics class in 10 minutes and all day long I've been telling myself that I shouldn't go to the class because it will be embarrassing and I will be really bad. But you have officially convinced me that I should go to the class! Gymnastics is something I've always been interested in and there's no reason why I shouldn't go try it :] so thank you very much for posting this!!
gd for u!! im 22 and had never done gymnastics before. i joined a gymnastics class at a local university last year. ok its only once a week and we dont have a proper facility but i luv evry minute. im even doing my first ever competition in like 3 weeks (floor and vault only). i cant exactly do tht many moves but i can almost do the splits! yay.
ChAmPmoNeY69 mine to; i love women who have a beatifull face and a normal body type (from what i could see in the video) i don't like skinny trained girls. The facial expression and character are the most imported.
To bad i can't meet this person, because today is my last day.
hey sorry for the random add on youtube but hope you accept
anyway congratulations on the overall weight loss and thanks for sharing ur insperational journey via youtube it just makes me want to keep working out and keep fighting fit so just a little thanks for posting some truly insperational parts of your life with the rest of the people x
congrats for trying something new (I know it takes courage) and congrats for putting workout back in your life, just pay attention not getting injured.
OMGEEEH!!! I have always felt the same way about people who can do stuff like that. Tumblers and cheerleaders just flip all around like nothing and I have always wanted to do those things. You have encouraged me to definatetly seek this out in my home town. I might wait though til I get somewhere clsoe to my goal weight before I actually start a class. Thank you so much and good luck to you in yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did gymnastics when I was little, but they wouldn't let me advance because there were a ton of things they said I couldn't do well enough. Then we moved and I never found another class. Now I'm no longer that flexable.
Yeah I used to have a gym membership but I stopped it when I realized that I was only ever going to the gym once every year to renew my membership. I hate gym exercises such as treadmills too.
And yeah, I'm my own worst enemy too. I can relate to that.
You know what comes next right? Parkour! :) I've been doing adult gymnastics for a couple years but it's slow going. But who doesn't want to be able to do flips and stuff??
I tried that last night with an acting class. My brother and I show up but nobody else was there not even the instructor. So much for those community center classes....
Good advice here! I've been preaching this same message to people for years. An old dog CAN learn new tricks, but it's just like you said. They tell themselves that they can't and they believe that so they never seriously try.
We can do ANYTHING we decide to do no matter how old.
GymAdult Gymnastics might be fun. But the YMCA have so many classes that can be fun.. well at least mine does :P I would love to be able to try gymnastics. No wishing, just do it :) Props for trying!
I've tried a lot of sport and outdoor activities, but gymnastic is on my list that I've been wanting to do it since I was small. I'll sign up for one.. thanks
