  • what kind of machine did u use?

  • good to hear you search out some of the lost gold owners.

  • Thats all from a gingstarapper...

  • wooow 1 pound is like 454 grams, but this is jewelry, so its not fine gold 999,9 . the most of it is 585 gold which means it isn't pure 99 % but only 58,5 % so its not even 454 grams but only about 266 grams of pure gold. at the moment you get 55 $ for 1 gram pure gold. so they get about 14630 $ for their gold. but they are 3 , and searched for 12 months, so everyone of them only got 406 $ for one month work...

  • next stop australia

  • What beach are you at chicagoron? LOL

  • @newbe4me2 A Chicago beach! LOL

  • what kind of detector do you use?

  • @SCARtacular Minelab Excalibur II in the water and a Minelab Explorer SE ot E-trac on the dry sand.

  • I'm not being critical here, just giving my opinion, and not to change yours either, but you say "gold" like it's a pile of bullion or coins, when it's actually just a load of stuff people have lost.

Maybe calling it lost Jewry or something would irk me less. I'm mildly miffed here, that it wasn't doubloons and I thought you should know. For what it is though, well done.

  • hell thats better than the some of the gold miners in Alaska do.......how many hours you got in all that .......amazing collection

  • thats amazing well done you guys! can i have a silver ring please? :) x

  • are you billy bob thornton brother?

  • @quaxk No but I will be playing him in an upcoming episode with Laura Croft! HA!

  • I live in central-east Europa and my nation's history goes back to 7.500 years. My city is the oldest in my country, former greek colony ,city & trade route winter shelter and later Roman castrum.

I really need to buy one of those detectors.

Hard to believe i will find gold or whatever precious metal treasure, but i'm sure i can find plenty historic interesting stuff.

Problem is that most of the findings of the museum are at minimum 1.5 meters deep .

Any detector would work for that dept?

  • @BarneySecurity 4 and a half feet! Unless the items are large in size or quantity not many detectors will reach that depth. when I hunt in England its plowed fields most targets are are at detectable depth.

  • come to england mate, i'll show u some good places for roman finds.....i happen to live in an area that was the hub of roman activity in england.....you'll love it!!

  • How much is gold sold for/worth these days?

  • It's very good of you to return some of the finds! Keep digging!

  • 1:10 ouch that's my ;)

  • thats a robbery for sure.

  • LOL ya sure you didn't pull off a bunch of breaking and entering, good excuse though metal detector lol, I'm just kidding by the way before you send me a gay message back:)

  • Probably mostly 14k gold, not pure gold. Great finds though. Definitely worth some bucks!

  • THATS MINE, THANKS FOR FINDING IT

  • they found them at beach or someone's wallet? lol j/k

  • i doubt all of those rings and necklaces are 24k gold, so really you do not have a pound

  • how much is pile in hand worth ? roughly pal good vid

  • @brakenlaker1 About 12,000 dollare just scrap value. Some of the rings would sell wholesale for 5 X scrap price.

  • More like I am a pirate and I will find gold!!

  • I remember once me and my friend made a makeshift metal detector using some online DIY schematic, and went to sweep the forest that saw some battle during WW2. Finding all those casings was exiting, we also found a full rifle clip. Pretty exiting hobby.

  • Lol these people make money off other peoples misery! :D

  • Im wondering ,is it legal to keep such foundings in america? im sure that here in germany, u r supose to give it to a foundings bureau(or city hall if small town not have found buro) where the real owner gets it back. Cant keep foundings since its not your property, unless u have self some criminal tendencies:). Anyway for me perosonally,it would be ok to keep when find on beaches or other places where it is just stupid to bring gold/silver.

  • @CHing01able I try to return any marked items I find! But I'm not going to give them to the police or some government agency for them to sit in a drawer and then go to the state when nobody claime them.

  • @chicagoron61 I lost a chunck of Gold once. It was the size of a pineapple. If you find it you let me know......you can PM me..

  • @CHing01able Yes. In America the law is "finders keepers" meaning if u find it u can keep it. what a terrible German law that you must give to authorities.

There is one exception in America. You cannot be in possession of stolen items.

This is to prevent thieves from claiming they found the items.

  • 1:50 busted knuckles, are you beating old women for those rings?

  • @bryhutch19 LMFAO! He does maintance at building he owns!

  • i once found a metal money clip however the money was gone. but i have found a woman's watch

  • id rather just keep some platinum in my safety deposit box over gold or silver. bling or catalyst, its always a decent market for platinum.

  • wow thats incredible. I have a metal detector in my basement, its some radioshack model. How do i get into detecting? and where should i go to have the best odds of finding something?

  • @W00tW00tful check my website chicagoron,com

  • @chicagoron61 i like digging up "crap" D:

  • stop calling it a "pound of gold", it's obviously part silver and probably part of it is gold imitation.

  • Thats my ring you prick

  • that's awesome!

  • so ur those guys i allways see at the beach!

  • 10 dislikes lost some of that gold.

  • i would love to have that golden cross! u sell it?

  • Hy thats my ring!!

  • how do you prove to the police that you haven't stolen it? lol

  • yeah and dont come to the uk

  • lot of gold

  • between 2 people you made only 25,000 in a year... i hope you guys have a job

  • @check2wice I'm a full time fireman!

  • You know Ron i look at many detector vids on youtube and i always end up at your vids Great work mate ,hey im looking at purchasing a garrett ace 250 for my first detector ,whats your oppinion of these models for a novice hunter ,ill mainly hunt parks and beaches

cheers for any advice you may have and happy hunting guys hope you get another good collection for 2012 from sean in AUST top work fellas

  • Most people buy detectors, got to there local park, dig 32 cents and 50 pieces of crap and it goes in the closet. Every detector can pay for itself, but you have to put in the time and you have to learn your machine. If your interested in digging common coins and jewlery and up to 6 inches a whites MXT is a good easy machine to learn (turn on and go)

If however you want to go for deeper than 6" older silver coins you need the power of a minelab, either an Explorer II , SE pro or E-trac

  • @chicagoron61 your lieing

  • @mrcool2414 Look at my website chicagoron, com all find were filmed as found throughout the year.

    Thanks for watching though!

  • LOL ron...i think that more like 1 year of work & you works for detector company to get new one.

  • @henshooten

Hi Henshooten, you can go deep with an ACE 250. You just need to get the after market coil, 10x14" Eccelerator coil, and you still need to learn your machine and put the time in like Ron said. Just b/c you can get deeper doesn't mean you will do better if you don't know your machine. Join a MD board if you haven't already and read up on some various detectors. The ACE250 is a really good starter model, but to go deeper you will need to upgrade the coil or detector altogether.

  • How does one get started on hunting for stuff like this? Ive always wanted to do metal detecting but never knew where to start.

  • Billy Bob Thornton !!

  • Any more info on the peruvian death ring? looks great

  • what has the guy with the blue jacket been punching? the cuts on all his knuckles look interesting

  • Oh That's mine!

  • what state is this cause i cant find shit in NY

  • I bet people reported their rings missing and these guys could have brought these in, but instead had their fuckin' finders-keepers attitude. Guys with metal detectors are douche bags.

  • @raydempsey Some one has spat their dummy out! ffs If something buried has just been lost, I think the term would be hidden! Hi officer has anyone handed in my peruvian death ring? 19th century pocket watch chain? Yeah Right! LMAO!!!

  • @ICBMPIRATE2 think hes just being a jelous douche bag mate lol

  • @henshooten Indeed! Good luck!

  • @raydempsey LOL you may see them as douche bags but Ron is responsable for many many happy folks having their precious jewelery returned ,and from your comment you have made ,clearly you sat and watched this so WTF would you want to watch it for in the first place , stop sitting in front of your gun keyboard and go out ,get a life and live it douche bag !!!!!

  • @henshooten every metal detector ad and commercial I have ever seen stressed the treasures that people find and profit from. The selling point is finding it and keeping it. These people don't comb the beaches all day hoping to find stuff and perform charity work by giving it back.

  • @raydempsey so that oppinion of yours applys to all metal detecors ,mate just goes to show how single minded some people are ,when it boils down to it detecting is a form of prospecting ,searching for gold and precious metals in the ground that would otherwise never see the day of light ... put together every trip they have been on and i bet not every one has been a success and a rule of detectors is to remove rubbish so why shouldnt they profit from this service one minded DOUCHE !!!!!

  • @raydempsey I just KNOW you are a commie! That's the attitude man

  • Hey...the large Gold R medallion is mine....I'm so glad that I finally found it........please forward to R. Williams, Inmate # 9786592) Apalachee Correctional Institution East, 35 Apalachee Drive, Sneads, FL 23460-4166..........if not for your advertisement I would have never found it again. it is very special to me....your hard work and dedication in finding other peoples property and properly returning it will not be unrecognized upon my release in 2041

  • good job, gang-)

  • I must have Jew in me because the sound of precious metals clinking sends me nuts.

  • can you set a metaldetector on only gold? or you also find beercans and stuff?

do you find gold everytime you go to thebeach?

  • Nice!

  • good score.

  • @shinyfuzzy lol u just called gold and silver shit

  • liars

  • damn!!! u guys are real treasure hunter! How much does it cost to buy a decent detector to start hunting?

theres few beaches around my area, id definitly scan the beaches to find some gold and silver!

  • RAYMOND!!! Hey! That's mine! [;

  • Uhh that's all the stuff I lost, can I have it back please?!

  • oh my god..i found my lost ring..thanks and where would i get you?

  • you say you hit the beach hard this year, like how many hours in total do you think that you spent prospecting for gold? how many dollars an hour did it make you do you think, on top of the fun of treasure hunting?

  • i dont understand how people could loose this stuff in the first place lmfao

  • i had a silver bracet from my grandfather form ww2. And i was walking one day and it fell off, (i'll never get over it, that thing ment the world to me) And i fucking lost it! I hope to god one day in 500 years from now someone finds that thing and does research and learns my grandfather's story. I miss that thing everyday, the worst part is i never met my grandfather so i only have his dogtags and metals to remember him now.

  • how long did it take to find all this? like how many hours? where'd you look?

  • Well I've been looking for my Peruvian Death Ring, now if you just drop me a message and I'll tell you where to mail it, and that way you won't have to worry about the curse that's on it.

  • If I found all that gold jewelry, I would defiantly have some of it melted down & have some custom jewelry made for myself.

  • Awesome finds guys, WOW!! This video is so inspiring to me & I'm sure everyone else, that watchs it, thanks so much for posting.

I'm betting if you wear any jewelry you take it all off before going in the water a beach.

I just got started, and have found about $4 in change so far, but no silver yet since I've only hit the newer parks near my house. I take it you've found most of your finds a the beach? No beachs near by here in AZ.

  • i dont know pounds and other but umm i probably say 850:000?

  • swag!

  • LOL I pound like 100p like 1 england currency

  • Hi Ron- fascinating video...

I was wandering... whats the oldest stuff you can find over there in the states? - I take it your finds are all quite modern? (-the last time I went metal-detecting in Scotland I found part of an Iron-age pot- probably not worth much financially but its my prize find to date), is there much scope for doing archaeological detecting over there or do you guys stick mostly to the beaches?

    ....thanks

  • How much would all this be worth? I'm guessing a pound of gold is like ~1K but all that stuff has been crafted so I assume that makes it worth more than it's raw weight.

  • @TokerMate This pound is worth about 10,000 dollars. it would depend on the purity of the gold 10,14. 18 or 24K gold

  • @chicagoron61 correction. purity it not nobility. nobility comes in Karat, the high it gets(24K) more noble the alloy is. purity its given in percentage. in this case the % of Au in the alloy: 24K - 99.9%, 91.6%(british gold coins), 19.2K - 80.5%(type of alloy used in my country - Portugal), 18K - 75.0%, 14K - 58.5%, 9K - 37.5%. There's no 10K legal gold.

  • @TokerMate

    Gold is 2,500$ an OZ (16grams) - 16oz/lb, i believe. or so.

  • The moment when you realize something on that table belongs to "YOU", lol.

  • That death ring is sexy.

I want to start doing this since I found a silver necklace exactly like the one at 1:33

But I don't know where to find a metal detector

  • @levim14 the death ring is not sexy

  • @levim14 you can find them online or at sporting good stores

  • how much did you get for all that shit?

  • @shinyfuzzy 15k-20k depends on the k and it could be gold .10 .15 .20 .18 and then it would be alot less or it could be gold plated but a pound of gold is 15-20k

  • @shinyfuzzy at least 100,000

  • @232323C what makes you say that? is gold more expensive where you'er from.

  • Hi, where i can sale my finds ???

  • I think you are milionaire!

  • This will need to be refined. Torch it at a high heat and flux it to get the impurities off of it and you will then have a purer gold. Each time you do this it will get purer until it is 24 carat gold. This is soft and that is why jewelry is 14 carat. You will have more value if you do this.

  • @Iammercy2 Why are you teaching people something that is not true? No matter how many times you will melt it it will still be 14k if its 14k gold. If a person wants to get .999 or 24k gold out of 14k gold you would need to go through a lot of acid and chemical processes.

  • Isnt that what most people would call junk? I mean most of the rings are probably from boys who wanted to become engaged in the neighbours 16 year old girl but didnt had much money to buy a good genuine ring.

  • hey, that's my locket!!!

  • @trisnjok yes the company definitely only produced 1, and it was yours

  • @sookyz humour. look it up.

  • @trisnjok ya right;)

  • New video out! 1 pound of gold #2 2011 beach gold

  • @chicagoron61 hey bro, what do you use to find these treasures, also how much time do you spend a day/week on this ? futher more what is yearly income for what you find on the beaches ?

  • Hahaha, it looks like a gang of thieves reviewing a good day's pray! robbery! :))

  • i used to search for gold like him....until i took an arrow in the knee

  • 14kt is 58% gold.

  • Verry nice hobby :D

  • how did you know who to return it to??

  • That death ring looks badass

  • Do you bring a metal decetor and spade everywhere u go?

  • What detector do you suggest?

  • the dude abides

  • Nice house!

  • This is: BAD SANTA! lol

  • The Peruvian Death Ring looks cursed.

  • Could I find anything over 5acres of land?

  • Nice haul! haha wow, 1lb. man, you're good.

  • i think thats Awesome that you returned a few pieces, thats worth more then gold or silver to the bug guy upstairs, but hey great finds otherwise

  • Hours on beach fellows? I was out for several hours around my town and just found junk metal.

  • @adriang8604 HAHAHANHAHA its money you menan can he turn gold and silver into soon useless paper

  • 10,000 worth of gold isn't really substantial to live on for a year. I assume you guys do this primarily as a hobby, right?

  • Just finished watching an episode of gold rush. Set in Alaska. Bless their hearts. They have spent many many pounds of gold on equipment to play in the dirt .

  • There is gold at the end of the rainbow and I will find it hahah i love that!

  • Very nice

  • NO WAY thats my gold neck-less !!!

  • whoa!!!
