These Corsair PSU-s mostly have ADDA fans, with ball bearings. That's why they are noisy. Mine too. I have an HX 650W. The AX series have Yate Loon fans with fluid bearings so they are not noisy now.
Having pretty much the same problem (I also made a video), I am assuming corsair cheaped out on the fans because mine worked fine for 3 months and one day started sounding like the shutter on an old projector (or a car idling).
I assume its the bearings in the fan, but who knows...its always had some obnoxious coil whine to it (an unrelated issue) ... they don't make em like they use to.

btw have you tried to give the fan some oil ?
you can also do the poke test, poke the fan gently! and hear if the sound changes
