Sabena brought people together in sincerity, great love with sprinkles of humor and conversation. England was my first business trip abroad 1970. Other trips followed and at different airports I'd look for Sabena. My heart sank to a new low when I heard of the bankruptcy.

Such a shame SABENA was assassinated by politicians & management in 2001! (There was plenty of money & contracts by that time). When I started my flying career, aviation in Belgium was 2/3 French speaking and full of aviation enthusiasts. Now both proportions are more like inverted! Just remember the destroyed lives after that bankruptcy! I know that all of you in Belgium work really hard in these difficult times and wish you all good luck for an aviation future in your own country!

I've flown on Lotus Air (charter)A319 between Nice Côte d'Azur and Cairo two years ago.

This plane belonged before Sabena.

Sabena was (according to me) one of the most discreet and efficient airline in the world much more than Lufthansa, British Airways or Air France and many else American Airlines companies.

Low costs came and all has changed.....

Indeed, when a swissair flies by I also gets a feeling of 'damn you swissair', where is the time of a Belgian 747? It will never be the same, brussels airlines will never replace Sabena. You had to place a photo in the film of the sabeniens around the a340, goosebumps assured. Thanks for the work, great to see it all again.
