  • "We know it. We accept. And you will be." - Bill Cosby. LOL!!! Too funny!!!

  • Ok so even though I know whats going to happen I keep pausing it because everytime Clair is mad I feel like I'm the one in trouble lol

  • Next up: "BIG FUN!" LOL

  • it's funny cause my parents told me i couldn't wear make up and i did it anyway and 3 years later when they finally give me permission to wear it, i barely wear it anymore

  • we know it, we accept, and you will be LOL

  • i go to school with vennessas daughter

  • @hhinduguy i dont think she ever had one though.. maybe another vanessa

  • Clealy this is not about just makeup. It's about rules and principles! Vanessa deliberately disobeyed! She is a child. It's not called control, it's called parenting. Apparently it is a long lost art that most children these days do not seem to be getting!

  • @lovewalk101

My mother SAID THE SAME THING TO ME AS CLAIR! And i disobeyed and wore Make up anyway, ...and i got punished, just as Vanessa. This is my favorite episode now, because i am a Cosmetics consultant today and i always thank mom, cuz if Make up hadn't been so forbidden, it wouldn't be as interesting, and now we laugh about it! :D

  • Theo lied lol

  • and that's all i have to say

  • Great show !! too bad alot of us blacks are "pigeoned" into the bullshit and false images of what a black family should be like potrayed in these newer tv shows and citcoms, for that matter all races.

  • @GorillaBeatz1 plenty of blacks and most black sitcoms don't fall into the stereotype. It's just that the stereotypical blacks are the only people that the white community choose to pay attention to and when you much of a majority race (that makes up 74% of the country and 80% if you count hispanic whites) paying attention to one thing that's practically the whole country choosing to pay attention to one thing. You also have the fact that people come down on black people for their stereotypes

  • @Tonetare more so than people come down on white folks for their stereotypes. I doubt you'd see anyone under a show about stereotypical whites like the Hillbillies bring up anything about whites being stereotypical country bumpkins or bringing up anything about whites and nerdiness under a show like Saved By The Bell when screech is seen, etc. But dare bring forth a black man with his pants sagging or acting ghetto and that's all the white community will have to talk about

  • I love this show soo much,i always watched it ever since it came out

  • If I had a young-teen daughter, I'd let her wear lip gloss, at least, because that prevents chapped lips.

  • "You were told not to do something and you did it anyway. I don't even wanna see that happen again"

*years later Vanessa sneaks off to Baltimore and almost gets her head ripped off by Clair*

    LOL!

  • @hedgehogamy300

lol........i love that episode when she sneaks off to see the wretched......thats one of my favorite episodes.....claire really YELLED at her!!!

  • This was one of my favorite epsodes-I love how Claire put her behind in check-loved Claire-strong-takes no BS-but still shows the kids lots of love. I want to be a mother like that.

  • do any1 have the episode of

Cliff did not want a new couch. clair & the children voted for the blue couch

if so please inform me & thank u take care

  • AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY!! LOL

  • Claire´s the boss! Cliff couldn´t add anything else!

  • Clair is so beautiful.

  • i never really liked make-up bad for the skin

  • whats temperary insanity

  • I love cliff at 3:07 LOL

  • im 13 and i wear makeup have been for 2 years, but i usually tell my parents it my face. but they dont care they care when its really dark makeup but i dont like that crap anyway lipgloss, eye makeup done! but this is a good episode lol.

  • they dont care because times are different i have four girls myself and i'd just be glad you didnt come home pregnant lol thats how us parents think these days but you sound like a young lady who respects herself so they have nothing to worry about have fun with your limited make up

  • wow im 15 and i dont wear make up. I believe i dont need it. guys like the way my face looks already.if i needed to i would only wear make up to prom and thats it.

  • Amazing the endless cycle thru life..every child in every generation thinks they know better then the parents. lol....Makes you wonder if Clair was actually the perfect child with her parents or did things she shouldn't have..lol...

  • and thats all i ahve to lmao

  • LOL her mom grounds her a year haha JK i seddly for a week

  • vanessa is crazy i felt sorry for her when clair was counting she was LIKE 98 97 96 95 94

  • "It was like temporary insanity"...LOL Vanessa is comedy.

  • yea

  • Ohh My Goodd

    Hilarious

    1:02

    I lovee the Cosby Show

    Claire is totally me.

    ohh why is she counting?

    and who is pregnant?

  • phylicia rashad (claire)

and shes counting cuz she wants to calm herself down before she talks to her

  • we know it we accept and u will be

  • i think we should put make up on rudy and start yell at her lol

  • "And threw you down on the floor, and put makeup all over your face, and said 'We don't care what your mother said you're gonna wear this makeup.'" LMAO XD

  • my mom got angry at me for not wearing makeup

  • you r missing the point !

  • I don't think makeup is a major issue with a teenage girl. It's like micromanaging.

  • What has happened to the good old fashion parenting skills now?

  • watchingme215:

Gone with the wind that swept through Georgia, that''s what has happened. I have yet to meet a person who didn't LOVE The Cosby Show; Claire's maternal wisdom + her flawless beauty were always mentioned. Then each person mentioned which episodes were most realistic-Vanessa and Rudy fighting like cats and dogs, Theo's earring, Vanessa's band, etc. As a teen I knew girls who WERE grounded for wearing makeup, colored fingernail polish, dangling earrings, or for dyeing their hair.

  • I love how Cliff laughs. XD

  • When she was pregnant during this season...they had to cut a whole in the bed where she laid, so there wouldnt be a bump under the sheets from her belly.

  • yea look at her, her face looks bloated and her breasts looks bigger

  • HAHAHAH 3:30-3:45

  • claire was pregnant in real life during season 3. you can tell how she's always has it covered

  • Yeah.. I jus recently found that out.. I had always wondered why she was always behind something and then I figured it out... n then I heard that whenever she layed in bed there was a hole in the mattress she layed in to make it seem as if she wasn't pregnant...

  • yeah i want full episodes, but i cant find many =(... And I dont have TV. Thats why

  • out of all the girls, vanessa always had the best hairstyles

  • ment Cliff lol

  • I love how clair all ways asks Bill if he wants say anything when they punish the children, then they ignore him..lol

  • the only think i wonder is WHY YOU DON'T UPLOAD THE FULL EPISODES!!!!

  • you can tell around 4:25 phyllisha rashad wanted to laugh I saw her smiling.

  • Vanessa: I did it, I'm sorry and I should be punished.

Bill:we know it, we Accept and you will be. lol

  • "We should bring Rudy down right now, put some make-up on her, and then yell at her."

LOL!!!! LOVE the Cosbys - they NEVER get old!

  • lmaooo tht was the funniest part!!They never make shows like this anymore!

  • OH dont preach about today's news!!!

Dont make generalizations about me when u dont know crap about me.....U dont know what i went through, u dont know crap about me so dont try to "get personal"

I can school u on politics 101...I grew up on politics and community organizing!

I see injustice in front of my face everyday! so dont try to act like just because i made a simple little statement(like i do on all vids) that means somehow a person doesnt care about todays news! thats garbage!

  • lool well MISSBLACKGIRL.....its good to stereotype makeup and i should get over it...but if someone stereotyped u and ur race..u would be up in arms!

u obviously have a reading problem..Im not a crusader for cosmetics..I just said its wrong to stereotype people who wear it. I never said this is my cause in life...instead of going around trying to analyze comments u need to take a good look in the mirror hun

  • if you get pissed off because people stereotype make up.. you need some serious anger management classes and a look at todays news. there's a lot more to be angry about then to be worried about people sterero typing make up.

  • I remember even being 11 and wanted to wear make-up and when I finally was able to do it at 13, my face was covered with every each and as much as I can put on with every type of make-up known to man. I looked like bad street hooker. I laughed at those days. Now it is face power, blush, mascara, brow liner and lip gloss.

  • but then i look at the comment section on ur page and i figure u seem to go around "preaching" to many others...wow...speaking of no life..why dont u make yourself useful instead of trying to be a cyber bitch and judge people u know nothing about. I bet my life if i gave you a question having to do with world issues..u would look as stupid as u do in ur picture!

  • "AND THATz ALL i HAVE T0 SAy"

    L0L HE C0ULDNT EVEN TALK

  • "I Did It, I'm Sorry and I should be punished"

"we know, we accept and you will be"

    lmaooooooooooo!!!! love the cosby show

  • I love that Vanessa pleads temporary insanity, knowing that her mom is a lawyer. :-P

  • That's your parents fault. I wouldn't brag about that hun.

  • it was a great nod to the show's history in the final season when rudy WAS 13, they had the same fight with her

  • actually there's an episode Rudy tells her mom when she's 9 that it's not fair that she can't wear makeup, she wasnt really serious but I remember the first time watching that and thinking ,, WHAT??

  • No she didn't. Yes she did. LMAO

  • What kills me is that they let Vanessa go out on dates with Robert when she was 12, but she couldn't wear make-up until she was 16. Cosmetics are more taboo than boys?

  • There are a lot of ways to analyze that. You can argue there was no analysis at all and say the age difference wasn't examined as closely as the plot b/c the overall plot and storyline was more of a priority. Or you can say that the parents knew where Robert lived and his parents and going out was not something to be worried about. And since Vanessa wasn't allowed to wear make-up, her self worth might've built up during this time.

  • Y3AH...UR RiGHT...MAK3 UP CANT G3T U PR3GNANT...LOL

  • Claire: M. M. M!

    lmao

  • I remember being in Catholic school in 7th grade, and the girls wearing blush, mascara and lightly tinted lip-gloss, and this was back in the early 80's. It's always going to a struggle to fight against peer pressure. When I get my manicures, I ALWAYS see young teens coming in to get their eyebrows waxed!!

    SCARY...

  • temp. insanity!

  • omgg...i watched this last nite and i noticed that she has a poster of whitney houston on her doorrr!!! and behind cliff at 3:38...im sorry i just think thats cool lol considering she tried out for that show.

  • I am trying to figure out which Cosby show was the one where Theo tries and tries to prank his dad (cliff huaxtable) but never succeeds and at the end Cliff ends up playing there own trick on them LOL. it was my most favorite episode and fricken funny as hell.

  • That eoisode is called "I Know That You Know". Its in season 3

  • did neone ever notice that vanessa took a bite of the apple and put it back in the bowl????????????????????????/lmao

  • i actually do

  • Yes; EWW!!

  • "i did it. i'm sorry. and i should be punished."

"we know it. we accept. and you will be."

    LOL

  • ...

What if you're 13 and have zits all over your face, and want to cover it up with make-up?

I mean, people make fun of girls with zits that young.

  • then you do like what 13 year old BOYS do.. do just deal with it

  • That's what concealer if for. I am a beauty consultant and I emphasize the importance of taking care of your skin over makeup. If a person takes care of their skin, they won't have to cover up that much. Makeup should be for bringing out features, not covering up.

  • my daughter (7) wants to know when she can wear makeup (since i wear it). i told her what my mom told me: clear gloss @ 14; pink @ 16; red @ 18! so now, she's counting the years before she can wear red on occassion...

i didn't do it behind my mom's back because i figured i'll get to eventually. i hope my daughter goes the same route! here's hoping...

  • I'm a child development specialist, I really don't know why a 13 year old girl really feels she needs to wear makeup, thats something you put on your face to attract MEN, not other 13 year old boys.. what my sister used to do when she was 13, she would put it on before she got into the school and would wash it off before my parents saw her after school, the things girls do for makeup lol

  • thank you!

  • I mean wash it off before I came home from school.

  • I used to do that, put on make up at school and wash it off when I got home.

  • Cliff:And that's all i have to say. Lol! What is it with mother's and having their daughters wear make up? I started wearing make up when i was 13.

  • Clair rocks!

  • why did everyone hate vannesa

  • It's good to keep kids young as long as possible. That is such a sweet time and it passes incredibly fast. Young girls looking like grown women is not the way it should be.

  • I could vacuum it off... LOL

    I love Theo

  • Hmm. 100, 99, 98, 97, 96...

  • aha i liked that end. :)

  • Ya, that was classic Cosby style. LOL.

  • 13 year olds should not wear makeup!no need to explain!Just like they should not drive cars, have credit cards, live on their own, join the army, work 60 hours a week, get tattoos, fuck, drink alcohol, etc. etc. they just should'nt. Clair is right!!If you are 12 years old,and your parents tell you to do something, shut your piehole, and do-it!!

  • i think it is...

  • At least u all like the show right? lol

  • It's not really about the makeup. Her parents set a rule and she went against it.

Personally I was allowed to wear makeup at 13, but honestly I do think it's a bit young.

  • Rules are rules! Do you want your little girl looking older than she is with all of these perverts out here. It is a big deal, why would you want to wear makeup at eleven? To make you look older and attract the wrong type of attention.. older men, child molesters, etc?

  • you do hav a point...though a little bit is not that bad i mean if ur trying to look 25 at age 13 then yes I DEFINATELY AGREE WITH YOU =D there are some wiieeerd ppl out there

  • exactly! I would never let my daughter wear makeup at 13, maybe some minor things like gloss or blush but not something that goes on their eyes & cakes on their faces

  • yes it is she could get in trouble with men if youhave kids that are girls would you want her looking like a hochie mama.

  • You know the funny thing is that at 13 I was kind of a tomboy, and had no real desire to wear makeup, and my mom really wanted me to wear it, to be more feminine. The grass is always greener I guess...

  • Richard47396: Thank you!! Well-stated. My sister has trouble with her 13-yr old step-daughter who constantly DEFIES her parents--it's like who doing the parenting here?

  • Wow, make-up? Well.. it could've been worse.

  • Claire is just trying to say," Hey! your going to be an adult for 60 years or so,enjoy being a kid as long as you can! " Claire, like most parents know, that once you start with makeup, the boyfriends, the stinky finger and the sex in the back of the car, etc. is just around the corner!Too many girls nowadays are playing with dolls at 12,and playing fuck and suck at 13!

  • hmm.. i don't have any children maybe thats why i never saw it this way...

maybe because i'm not a crazy girl either.

  • and thats all i have to say¨

  • the early years were the best

  • it looked as if Claire was ready to throw Vanessa out the house after the make-up incident. That was so 1986 but so funny!!!!

  • "VANNESSA R U WEARING MAKE-UP?"

"I THOUGHT I GOT IT ALL OFF"

"NOW VANNESSA U NO U ARE NOT SUPOSE TO WEAR MAK-UP"...LOL theo is comedy

    ...

"well i could vacume it off"...lol

  • theo is hella funny

  • I love how they protected one another but couldn't wait til they got in trouble.

  • Does anyone have the episode where Theo sings "Justine! Justine!" about his ex-girlfriend? I love that episode. I need it.

  • oh yeah the person who post these vids. has it on there main page i just saw is its funny.

  • love the end..."well..i think....ya see?....and thats all i have to say" ha. Love bill! Hes hilarious!

  • "...We know it, we accept, and you will be.."

    Classic Bill!

  • "I think that we oughta bring Rudy down here right now, put some makeup on her and start yelling at her." Lol! Love it!

  • Damn dis is sooooo funny she was never going to get away wit it.......

  • Shows you how different the world is today, at least for American values. Back when it was a problem parents had when their daughters wore makeup at 13, compared to parents having to worry about 13 yr old girls having sex. Thanks Springer...

  • Yeah times now are crazy....around where I'm from you also got to worry about kids getting shot as well.... I wish everyday times where like the Cosby show

  • man. this guy reminds me of my dad

  • This is my all time favorite show... I am big Cosby Show fan. I love it!!!

  • @luvmileycyrus63 it a rule in there house i know kids at 10 but their parents allow it dimbo

  • "and thats all i have to say"...lol bill cosby is the man...he just came to my school and did some stand up (or more like sit down, dude is 70) and he is one of the funniest guys around...Americas Dad!

  • this was one of the episodes where phylicia rashad was pregnant in real life.

so they always had her holding things in front of her. (a box, laundry...etc) and they shot her from the waist up.

they even cut a hole in the bed so that she would sink in flatter.

  • Didn't they do the same thing with Elaine from Seinfield?

  • @decolady2 i know and in one of them she had a teddy bear in front of her 4 no reason soooooooooo funny

  • why does everyone love the huxtables but no one listens to bill when he speaks to the people - everyone knows it's right, but many parents are too busy to DO anything - 'tis a paradox ain't it?

  • lol i luv dis episode!! win she put on da shdes!!! umm umm umm!!! lol!

  • I love this episode, especially when vanessa tried to hide her eyes by putting on shades! lol

  • Theo was the coolest brother ever!

  • lol

  • No the huxtables are a throwback to good involved parenting. At 13 you don't run over your parents. At least it didn't used to be that way.

  • Thank you

  • Welcome to the 21st century. LOL.

  • @chrispollock they have a rule where its no makeup until 15 its a rule in there house DUMB a**

  • I wonder how he'd summariz the episode where vanessa goes to baltimore to have biiiiiiiiig fun

  • I love that episode! Claire looked like she was going to throw Vanessa out the window.

Now that I think about it, Vanessa lied more than any other Huxtable kid.

  • Yeah like my daughter, the troubled one. I can tell she's gonna be a Vanessa. Very smart but independent and stubborn. It's funny cuz I got 4 girls and a son on the way as well.

  • WOW, talk about being blessed! Glad you got a son after 4 girls.

  • I love this episode, one of my faves
