LoL! Cracking up at "If you are looking for a moisturizer that doesn't moisturize." If you took the tube back to the store and let them know you didn't care for it I'm sure they can refund your money. $40 is a lot to spend on a 2 oz stinky product you hate.
That's too bad, I got a sample and I agree, it doesn't moisturize, and I need that around my nose. I'm using Mary Kay's SPF 15 daily moisturizer, have been for 3 months ad it works very well
I use Eucerin with spf 15 all year round ^_^ I loooove the consistancy and the smell of sunscreen, it goes on so smooth and doesn't break me out at all. Plus it's super cheap :D I tried Cetaphil a couple of times bc of all the raving everyone does about it, but for someone reason I just couldn't get into it. The smell bothers me >.< Anyway, I love your videos! You're absolutely the BEST most down to Earth guru on YT, but I must say I miss your vlogs soo much :( Hope you're doing well though! <3
I would totally reccommend Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Ace Scrub it sounds like you want something that smells good (hence pink grapefruit), Moisturizes and doesn't make you break out. Well I used this product all winter and hardly ever had to put lotion on! & In summer my skin doesn't usually get dry but I use Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion all year round!! :)
i use a retnol cream, and it is amazing! i can not explain how much i love it! it doesnt leave me oily, only when i put it on, and thats custom for creams. I have super dry skin, so it works wonders on my skin!
i use neutrogena oil-free moisture for combination skin & i think it's actually been living up to what it says on the bottle - controls oily areas and moisturizes dry areas while leaving a natural matte finish :)
aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer with spf 15 (also comes in spf 30). moisturizes really well and gets rid of dark spots over time :) $15 for 4 oz and it lasts me like 3 months
i'm using the ultra facial cream by kiehl's recently, with their serum underneath, it's really light but very moisturizing, it does not break me out AT ALL, and the price is good
I really like Sephora Face Hydrating-Balacing lotion. At first, it felt a bit weird on my skin, but now i really like it. And it's actually better for summer then for winter, cause it's a light moisturizer; it doesn't moisturize that much, which is appropriate for summer, and it makes your skin feel nice and smooth and soft :)
Am i the only one who tried cetaphil because i have sensitive skin and hated it!? i wanted to love it because its supposedly so mild and fragance free but it STINGS and burns my skin,,,,,does it do that to anyone else????????????????????
I agree! I have sensitive/oily/prone to breakout skin and I hate Cetaphil moisturizer! It makes me MORE oily and kind of turns my face red after I apply it. I gave it to my b/f who has perfect, normal skin, and he has no problems with it. I use Olay moisturizer now, and I love it! It creates a smooth surface for foundation.
Omg..I thought I was the only one that thought it smelled lol. It felt good because I have super oily skin but I couldn't even stand it more than ten minutes I had to wash it off. It smells like blood, or like a year old lemon meringue pie..the weird thing is none of the ingredients listed should smell like that so I have to wonder what the hell they put in it to make it that way.
I have extremely dry skin and it is very sensitive. I use Josie Maran Argan Oil daily, and for me it was a life changing product. Between that and MAC Fix + I can actually wear makeup without looking like a cakey flake face.
Im using the Bobbi Brown hydrating gel cream right now and I really like it :) Its similar to the Givenchy Velvet Luminesence cream for combination oily skin. I love both of them because they are moisturising enough for oiler skin without leaving a greasy film on my face. I would reccomend them both to anyone with oiler skin :)
I used Shiseido Oil-Free Pureness Matifying Moisturizer for night and Mario Badescu Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF-17. Both of those, all year round. I'm afraid of changing up my moisturizer because last time I did that, it broke me out so badly.
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream is my ultimate moisturizer! A tad pricey, although the jar lasts me ages!! The smell is extremely mild and it doesn't break me out or feel greasy whatsoever!! I really recommend you try it at some point :)
@OhJosie92 Fragrance free just means there is no added perfumes for the sake of making the product smell a certain way, but the ingredients can still have a natural scent to them. Just no added fragrance :)
i use cetaphil all the time but recently i kinda switched to the Clean and Clear moisture cream...something. i don't remember exactly the name. but it has FPS 15 so it's nice! :)
i use cetaphil too! in the big tub :) it's soo moisturizing! thanks for the review- i've heard awful things about it and you just confirmed that! always appreciate the honesty :) <3
I'm glad it's not just me who thought this stuff smelled gross! I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizer and one from Neutrogena that has spf 15 in it year round. I have normal to dry skin and like to have that extra spf
clean and clear dual action moisturizer and the neutrogena moisture for combo skin. then in my really dry areas and under my eyes the aveeno intense relief hand cream :)
THANK YOU! I was trying to decide between Hope and Clinique ddm gel and I am so happy you just did this! I would have gotten the oil free one since my skin is oily so thank you so much! I love reviews on products you don't like!
i use the original aveeno all year round. face and body, never ever has it broken me out, no smell at all, no greasey or oily, realllyyyy moisterizes and makes me feel refreshed and soft skinned. just everything is amazing about it. lol i even put it on before i do my makeup jus as a "primer" type i guess lol
i love aveeno! i have the dark blue one, that has cooling things in it! it feels so good in the summer because i think it has menthol! and it's great for sensitive skin! it's also super moisturizing which is good cuz i have dry skin!
I have several moisturizers with different intensities and spf levels and use what my skin feels like it needs. With very fussy combination skin, one moisturizer just doesn't cut it.
i KNEW mine wasnt bad! the smell lingers on my face & i had to take it off (more like SCRUB it off with cleanser) after 20 minutes cause it made me want to gag!
LMBO@ "It will work for you if you are looking for a moisturizer that does not moisturize." Who does that? LOL! Love it! I have also used the Amazing Grace perfume or eau de toillette. And, while it smells wonderful,it lasts all of 5 minutes. And, the body scrub is so regular its not worth the money. I think they seriously need to redo their formulation and try again.
I understand were you are coming from, but I felt like you kind of made this because of the scent? In most cases it's better off a moisturizer being fragance free. I still think the Hope in a jar is good ;)
Have you tried Olay Beauty fluid? It's amazing! On days that my skin isn't too dry, I mix it 1/2 and 1/2 with Clinique Dramatically Different Gel. Those combined = holy grail moisturizer. :)
i like the aveeno complexion clearing moisturizer. It moisturizes just enough and its greasy and it has a tad bit of salicylic acid which is great for my problem skin. the only downside is that it doesnt contain spf, but the makeup i wear does so its not that big of a deal for me
@Euchante dead fish... SCREAM... man, the makers of this product are going to CRINGE when they see this video hehehee. I will be staying so far from it. LOL.
@Misana I had it and it was honestly so bad I had to go wash it off because I couldn't sleep. Even after I had washed it off the smell still lingered.. ughh so gross!
cetaphil actually burns my skin to where I cant use it at all but ive found only two lotions that work for me they are Nivea Soft and it works WONDERS! I love it but for the days my skin is really dry I use Aveeno :)
I totally agree with you. I got a free sample of that from Sephoras and it was just terrible. The smell was so bad that I ended up washing it off my face, because it was giving me a headache.
@melodietina95 me too... do you have any recommendations for sensitive skin? i'm seriously going to go out to whole foods and get some organic stuff....
@Euchante I have sensitive skin and it does not work for my skin. At least the cleanser doesn't; it gives me a rash and it contains sodium lauryl sulfate. It makes me not even want to try the moisturizer
If you bought it at Sephora, you do know you can return it right? They are really good at returns even if you used the product. Its worth the return for $40 bucks!!
Personally, Im using the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer that has SPF in it. Its very Nice!
im using Philosophy's when hope is not enough and i love it. the winter really makes my skin dry and this works great. the only down side is the price- its $50 for 2oz
Clinique DDML is my everyday and then Clinique Total Turnaround is hands down the most amazing moisturizer I have EVER tried LOVE IT! Does amazing things!
Glad you did this review because I wanted to try it, but it's so expensive I've been keeping away from it. Any good night creams that aren't so heavy?
I'm using Philosophy Hope in a Jar. Also, not impressed. Love the cleanser and exfoliator, but will not repurchase moisturizer. Next will try moisturizer from Origins.
i have the hope in a jar moisturizer and i totally agree it doesnt moisturize at all!! ive been using it for a while and i did get used to the smell. I just mix in a few drops of jojoba oil when i use it so i wont let the product go to waste
I think it is funny that it is hope in a jar but instead its in a tube.. but I understand what they mean.

I don't use moisturizer on my face because it breaks me out. I do put under eye cream though.
