  • I have been taking zoloft for about three months now and it has changed my life I dont worry about anything like I used to and I feel like a normal person again I am not so down like I used to be the only side effect I have is that it is hard for me to tolerate the heat .Otherwise I feel so calm now.I hope I never have to get off of it and have those terrible withdrawels

  • I been taking S.S.R.I's Antidepressants for about 4yrs..

From personal experience i can let you know i have had a dramatic

Change in my attitude im violent person im more irritablebecuz of this i been on and off different SSRi Antidepressents i was never sure why but this video helps me understand more about whats happening to me.

  • celexa shrunk my liver, it decreased my sex drive. and for some reason i finish quicker than usual... i also experience facial twitching and short breath. i took zoloft as well and experienced extreme suicidal thoughts, and hallucinations were i literally seen people, felt people and heard people who weren't their. and just to add i was taking celexa with risperadone and valproic acid, which really messed my health and life up badly.

  • @hatelife06 Really? Cause I've been on celexa for almost a week now and I CAN'T finish. Are you a guy?

  • @thedon420333 nooo.. dip shit it's all my med's mixed, god damn why would you assume i was gay? and why would you ask a guy that.. ohhh.. i see "your gay"..

  • ssri's destroyed my life...no more sex, completely impotent. psychiatry is an industry of killers...they have killed me. thank you lexapro for destroying everything i have ever done for myself.

  • As Always....If any Drug is Abused then they cause damage!

  • Very true. These drugs are evil in multiple ways. Big Pharm makes blood money. SSRI's have destroyed my family. I too, used to believe that these drugs were harmless and a help

  • @macpduff

breathing in slowly and out slowly and hold it for 10 seconds. and breath out slowly. repeat this 3 to 5 times. this will help and it did help me stay positive. and you can too. breathe in and out.

  • Interesting. thank you

  • I have taken LSD and PCP. You really need to understand what they do. As far as I know LSD has never caused violent behavior, while disassociation and violence are almost inevitable while on PCP. One affects serotonin, the other affects glutamate; huge difference. I took Prozac and I became very violent and contemplated killing myself after about 12 hours of being on it. I stopped about 18 hours after the first dose. I'm very glad I did. St John's Wort is the only safe & effective one.

  • if its like LDS. then you will have a blast. happy blast into space!

  • LSD*

  • hey guys I've been taking a anti description drug that the doc said that would calm me down by increasing serotonin levels in my body.

but recently I kind of not taken the drugs for a couple of days I have been behaving much more violent, anxious, nervous,

and so on what should I do?

I have been perscripted this drug to control violent behavior and honestly I recently had some feelings of killing my self too.. is this because of the drugs I'm taking?

  • You are having withdrawal, you should go back to the normal dose then come off slowly instead.

Aim to come off altogether eventually if you can, its all relative, not beeing 100% when off drugs is no argument for being on them.

If you have problems off the drugs then at least you dont have problems x 2 on drugs which are documented to have side effects wich are the same as the problems you already have, therefore likely to exacerbate them. Remember to come off slowly this is very important

  • @didyormama have you had those feelings before taking the drugs? Because I didn't until i took the anti-depressant (zoloft) I weened myself off the drug on my own against the doctors will for my own good. My advice is to get the fuck off the medication and work out and excercise that will help your mood the same way as the drug but without any harmful side FX! That's what im doing and it' s helping me.

  • I was prescribed Zoloft and (half dose). I went through two days of absolute hell. Wild mood swings which included abrupt rages, INTENSE sadness, insomnia and hyperkenesia (jerking muscles). I stopped taking them after the second dose but due to the long half life it took me about 2 weeks before I felt like myself again. A friend recommended I try an over-the-counter anti-histamine to curb the anxiety and it worked. St. Johns Wart also can help. Beware folks, SSRIs can put you in a rubber room.

  • @Mugwumpish I took my first dose of Zoloft, also at half-dose. and noticed nothing differently. We truly respond differently to all meds.

  • I was prescribed Lexapro. I took on half dose and I had the most horrifying two days I have possibly had in my life. Did not and will never take another dose of this drug or any other SSRI. No thanks. My life has been hell this year and the anxiety and depression has been overwhelming. But this drug scared the shit out of me. It made my anxiety ten times worse and nauseous, dizzy, distant feeling yet panicked about how I was feeling.I couldn't even go to work, couldn't get out of bed. No SSRIs.

  • Guys can anybody tell me if cipralex is in this category as well????? plssss

  • i agree 1000 percent does more harm then good.

  • wellbutrin seems to work very well for me

  • Wellbutrin is not an SSRI its one of the better ones. You're lucky you were prescribed that and not an SSRI. I wish I was

  • i took antidepressants for 6 years and they caused me severe liver damage, they ruined my health and my life. all my doc kepted saying was the only way to get better is to keep taking them! yeh and look where it got me! i will never trust another doctor again! thank god i'm off them now.

  • i am taking Vilift,? it's really great, i am on it for almost 5 months now and i noticed the difference, the improvement in my mood.

  • to say ssri's r as dangerous as lsd and pcp is bullshit, u take one acid tab and go insane, u must take ssri's for weeks for them to even start working, how can folk take u seriously when u say this?

    u ruined a valuable message.

  • You can't "go insane" from one tab of acid. Drugs like LSD aren't illegal because of danger, they're illegal because they're fun.

I don't advocate publicly that people do these drugs. But taking psychadelics is neither dangerous nor safe. It can go either way, hingeing on personal responsiblity.

But the point I just made is also your point. This video implies that SSRI are "as dangerous" as LSD. Not to say that it necessarily is, but LSD is certainly more dangerous.

  • u can go insane from one event, one huge bad trip can leave a permenant mental scar/ damage, so it can be said that one acid tab can make u insane, really dangerous, if u dissagree u havent had strong acid before, the possibilities of pure horror r endless.

  • Not for me.

  • prozac can react with methadone and cause OD evidently.

    I reacted violently to citalopram.

  • Really citalopram!! Thats very alarming. I take 20 mg a day

  • Works for some, it made me very argumentative and short tempered.

  • I was on Zoloft 50mg and it made me more nervous and gave me shakes. My doctor prescribed Celexa 20mg for me today and i'm hoping it works better than the Zoloft. I'm also on Xanax and that does wonders for me. For the people that are on Celexa do you take it at night before bed or when you wake up in the morning?

  • I was on it until the first blood test relating to it, the doctor almost didnt live and it was fun watchin the doc struggle to get my crowbar out of his throat a week later, the doc quit and I got smashed at a good friend's house.

  • yes i agree, my son took prozac, he has never shown any violence, tho 1 week of taking, threw his £1000 guitar out the window, I also cant even sniff prozac, it made me go berserk, I could have thrown myself out the window!..tho absolutely fine on Citalopram..

  • the information about people on antidepressants being violent and killing is completely wrong. If it wasnt for anti depressants how many more deaths do you think there would be?

  • maybe chris benoit 's story can give you an idea about it

  • Vilift is the best, it's all natural so i dont worry about side effects.

  • perhaps that is right ta say it is an addiction , it certainly is . I am addicted I know it .I can t kick it or I'd go mad But I see it much like smoking tobacco

  • I love Paxil, give me more.

  • Fuck U Smoke Pot!!!!

  • Two days isn't enough time for the medication to even get into her system. It wasn't the paxil, it was her own insanity that committed the crime. Stop blaming the medication. I'm on Lexapro, an SSRI and I'm just fine. You're not a Dr. Don't talk about stuff like this unless you're educated in the field. You have no authority to be saying these things. A lot of my family are on these drugs and we have had no problems.

  • I remember when I was withdrawing from Zooloft I had to stay home for a week because I thought I was going crazy. When I read reports of people killing others while being on anti-depressents I actually believe its 100% possible

  • Ask you doctor to switch you to Citalopram. I'm on it and had no problems with it except that you need to take it none stop for two weeks before it really starts to kick in. I have been skipping some doses but it didn't make me want to jump off a building. I take 40mgs of Citalopram and i'm o.k.

  • isn't citalopram the main ingrediant in celexa?

  • Citalopram is the generic version and Celexa is the name brand version of the same drug.

  • Thank God I told my doctor NO. She tried co-ercing me but I was just like fuck you bitch. I know you are just tryna make me crazier...lolol. I had the instinct I felt it in my guts b4 seeing all these comments.

  • I am soooooo glad your gut told you not to take any antidepressant. Death is better than these mind death drugs!!!

  • Just because your strong physically has nothing to do with the strength of mentality. My best friend (the doctor who perscribed lexapro) has dealt with over 1000 patients on the drug and has yet to find one patient whose mind altered dangerously. The amount of people taking this medicine is in the millions, it is obvious that a very small minority will have adverse effects and come onto the internet voicing their opinions. It's wrong to scare already anxious people off a drug that can help them.

  • I have taken lsd, and have taken lexapro, there are no comparison between them whatsoever, the reason behind these random acts of violence are society. these posts should stop, PEOPLE, if you feel you need anti-depressants, take them, do not listen to these people.

  • I'm a retired body guard and I had a hard time controlling my thoughts while under anti-depressants. I'm not week minded or prone to reacting to drama. These drugs actually change the way your mind learns. You can say what ever you like. If I can't keep it together under these drugs then I doubt anyone can. You don't feel anything so it is hard to see at first. It is a silent mechanic that alters your thought patterns.

  • Amen, Nieko!!!!

  • I know, I hate it when uneducated people make these posts and make people afraid. What they're essentially doing is scaring people who need treatment and preventing them from getting help. Essentially they could be preventing them from getting the help they need that could save their life. So this video could be even more dangerous than their claiming the drugs could be, because this video could be negligently killing someone. Don't be afraid to get help.

  • What happened to your girlfriend?

And by the way, ignore the Sheeple who believe everything the man in the white coat tells them to. Most people are truly

Clueless unless they have an intimate experience with the Monsters of the Psychiatric/pharmaceutical industry...and those who SURVIVE them are few and far between.

Thank you for your Courage & Your Story. My heart goes out to the children and their mother and to you for this Corporate Profit Induced Trajedy.

    Go with God.

  • works in the same way than lsd and pcp what the fuck is he saying? false information, not worth watching

  • Yeah he does not know what he's talking about. He's not a Dr. He's just talking out of his butt.

  • BORINGgggggg

  • Speaking from many years of taking many different anti-depressants due to none of them working, I think a person should be hospitalized when starting antidepressants in order to see how they will react.

  • i had no side effects using the SSRI Zoloft, except for loss in creativity.

The SNRI drug Avanza however, caused me to be violent, irratated and ALWAYS fatigued.

I wonder why people only discuss SSRI's.

  • loss in creativity?

  • Yes, it was hard for me to create any artwork while I was on them, due to the fact that I couldn't think creatively anymore. This effect stopped after stopping the Zoloft.

My psychiatrist told me that he has heard many of his creatively inclined clients report such an effect.

  • Try Citalopram it's better than Zoloft. I heard so many bad things about Zoloft.

  • great vlog...thanks for posting

  • This drug killed my best friend! I have attached a video of my friend which I hope you will add to this. x

  • I have for four years been giving this speech and tried to teach as many people as I can on the dangers of SSRI's . Thank you so much for posting your story I wish you well.
