  • The unshown laptop power supply would be drawing harder while the shown is connected?

  • @AussieMatters I think it probably does but the joulethief is not a large load so i don't think it would go up much but the easiest way to find out is with one of those power monitor plugs which i don't have but it is an interesting question that you ask.Cheers.Jonny

  • в ччем прикол то *SCRATCH*

  • 1. The port puts out 5-10 watts at 5 VDC

    2. The fan is using about that much power. No wind to drive the fan to make power.

The capacitor is not a primary power source.

    3. What steps up 5 VDC to 12 VDC? Conversion uses more power.

    4. Power is used up by the time it gets to the 12 V battery. Eventually a dead 12 V battery.

    5. Somethings not right here. Just doing some critical thinking in Electronics in which I am trained. What is the Joule Thief? Maybe that is plugged into 110 AC charging stuff.

  • Hi kdc43.What you see in the video is very straightforward. The fan is not a fan as such as i have converted it into a Bedini motor which is well capable of charging a 12v battery. The 5v output from the usb port is stepped up via a joule thief and this is what is stored in the capasitor. The Bedini fan runs of this cap and charges the 12v battery. If you like electronics, why not try building a bedini motor and joule thief and see for yourself.Google Bedini motor/ joule thief for more info.

  • @jonnydavro Can you make me a small bendini motor that charges 12 car battery? send it for me i'll pay it. i wanna check the things out if it's true or what.

  • @maxinpains It would be a lot more satisfying for you if you build your own motor.A Bedini fan would be a good starter motor or the daftmans motors are great too.Try it and if you get stuck, let me know.Jonny.

  • @jonnydavro well, i really wanna know that is really gonna charge the batteries first. then' i'll make one. i don't wanna waste money you know !

  • @jonnydavro So where is the extra energy coming from?

  • Hi kdc43.The joulethief circuit ramps the usb port voltage up which is around 5.25v and i store that in a cap.The Bedini fan runs of the cap and charges the Big battery.I don't think there is any extra energy,i am just utilising and manipulating what energy is there. It is an interesting way to charge a battery though. Thanks for your interest.Jonny

  • @kdc43 There is **NO** extra energy. This is just a wasteful voltage step-up circuit using a massive amount of unnecessary parts and confusion.

    .

Energy has to come from other energy by conversion.

    .

When investigated by people that understand metering instruments it always turnes out the readings are not understood, perpetuating this OverUnity lie to uneducated suckers.

  • great work, how is it a Joule Thief circuit tho? hiw does it activate the bedini??

  • Hi dodoshlodo. The joule thief circuit is connected to the usb port off my laptop and is supplied with 5v.The Joule thief then charges a capasitor. The Bedini is connected to the capasitor as its power source and the bedini output is used to charge a12v battery. The circuit diagram for my joule thief bedini motor can be found here.

Remove spaces and DOT.If you need any more info just ask.regards jonnydavro

  • you did again, Jonnybavro,

    Wonderful !!

  • Very Nice Jonnybavro.

Where you find such a big DC fan?

  • Thankyou Slayer. The fan is 12v 22cm diameter by akasa available in the uk from maplins.Regards Jonnydavro

  • Jonny:

What a fantastic idea!! Excellent work man, keep it up!!

    Bill

  • Many thanks Bill
