@lugnutz85 i disagree. check out marty friedmans'. broderkick is impressive but do your homework and learn to play what broderick just played. it really is not that difficult from a 'technical' point of view. he simply has great rhythm and 'knows' the piece well. it is very unoriginal and very stiff, rigid, uninspired sounding compared to marty's. Broderick plays the kind of stuff you want to use as prace or warm ups. Marty is what you become AFTER you've mastered Broderick's level.

@D4RKFIR9 there is nothing wrong with being pick dependent, learn to master sweeping, economy and alternate picking as well as hybrid picking if you get bored of using one technique and try different picks, some tend to slip around a lot. i use jazz 3 picks and love them :D

@Emceetem look, a flat means one semi tone below a certain note. a sharp means one semi tone above. so remember that . . the thing is that the sharp of a note will be a flat of the next note. for example: C# = Db , D#=Eb and so on . but B and E have no sharps ie C and F have no flats . so all the notes from C will be C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B . which is the same as C Db D Eb E F Gb G Ab A Bb B . so back to the topic, you can't play a B# chord because it doesn't exist.

@vaibhavnayel There is a such thing as a Cb. A Cb is the same note as a B just as C# and Db are the same note. The proper name just depends on what interval you intend on using. An augmented third of a C is an E# not an F because technically an F would be a fourth.
