@zoomeristen On the Space Patrol DVD, yes. But that DVD is out of production so it's really pricey. I spent $100 to get my copy... It was definitely worth the cost.
I don't think much of the special effects - the models really do look like models - the SFX team on Paul Starr certainly didn't have the talents of Derek Meddings. The effects in this are so bad - even the SFX in early Supercar episodes are much better.
Never before have I been in such a state of ambivalence. This is so utterly and unbelievably shite that I cannot stop watching it!! It is awesome in that it is cheesy.
The theme music sounds like Supercar and the undersea door is pure Stingray. The puppets look like Beatles, though the mouths are much better articulated than contemporary Anderson puppets. The uniforms have elements of both Stingray and Fireball XL5. I suspect Gerry Anderson had cornered the talent as far as special effects and model design were concerned.
Fun, though, and I'm sure it would have been quite a hit had it not been up against the Anderson juggernaut at the time.
Fantastic. His sidekick sounds more like a robot than the robots do!

So this is where Gerry got the idea of Stingray from.

@ivorbigunzz Doubt it, since this was made in 1964, the same years that "Stingray" was already airing.

Shamelessly formulaic and i could only imagine the toy sales following release of this show.

Is it me or have the creaters of this based their robots on the Daleks from Dr Who?

Well, that's certainly interesting, i particularly like the Martian puppets... Too bad it didn't make into an official series.
