I suppose the LORD can do anything including illogical things (like make a rock that even He cannot lift) but He invented logic and likes logic, so He would never do something like that.
"Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life: Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord." EZEKIEL 14:22-23, King James Version 1976. People please check your Bible versions; there is something fishy going on..and Darwin has NO GIFT
According to your scripture your God can do evil though, he said so himself in Ezekiel 14.22 - "and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it." - Just a thought! You are also being hypocritical here as you are recorded on you tube as saying that answering with a question is your preferred way of evangelising. I'm starting to think you may be a little dishonest in your thinking here.
@Darwinsgift Here's the only answer possible Evil in this context & historical setting = condemnation or anger . You should read all the chapters 13-15 to see what the reasons were.
another answer, that i heard from william craig is that these sort of questions are not genuine but are just clever plays on words. god cannot do logically impossible things, so he cannot make a rock so big he cannot lift it. or if someone believes god CAN do logically impossible things then He could make the rock too big to lift, then he could lift it.
"...this is nonsense, it's not helpful..." Yes...yes it is.

Nice. Christ nukes nonsense on a regular basis in Scripture. Good call on responding, as well as the point re: HOW to respond.
