dude, i think you should get modern warfare 2, tbh, it has best quality and i think that the campaign on it is not that good, but the special ops and the online and multiplayer will blow you away.

there small as hell and the guys have to sit on top with out any seat belts, so that makes evasive maneuvers much more difficult. also to get off you need to stand up and jump over the side, which makes the poor bastards sitting ducks. also those things seem to small to have any kind of effective armor. i would go with a more helicopter designed my self, where the sides can open and close. the helgast drop ships form killzone 1 look like a good design, they seem to have armor and have more room

bear in mind they are invading another planet, and the drop ships werent designed to play an active role in battle, just to deploy troops as quick as possible onto the battlefield, and of course out of harms way (most of the time.) And i imagine jumping of the sides is faster than a marching down some steps, and make the whole squad a perfect target for helghan minguns. And the helghast had time to prepare for the vetkan invasion, while the invasion of helghan was a rushed, counter offensive.

True, but i just think if you had a ramp you could turn it away from the incoming fire and if you had two it would make easier. and i still cant get over the fact that they don't even have any kind of restraints to hold them down for the drop. it would also limit the speed that the ship could fall toward the planet, if you go to fast they'll fly right off of the ship. oh well its just a game, thanks for indulging me :P

if you were being shot at, would you want to waist time unbuckling your seatbelt? they dont have to jump over the side, only the corners resemble barriers. Effective armor would weigh the thing down to much and decrease the # you can bring with you, not to mention increase cost to much. This is designed to get a massive amount of men to the drop zone as fast as possible, and i think it does that well.

I was just saying the entire design of the thing is going to cause massive casualties. if you fill the air with enough flack or air burst rounds you'll knock everyone off. i was just thinking they should have gone with a more numbers and armored version of a dropship, when i think of a dropship i think of the ones from the first game or like starship troopers or warhammer 40K. there armored and can carry more guys, you can land companies instead of squads. the more guys on the ground the better.

While this game is very good looking, and has great presentation, the gameplay was unfortunately quite forgettable, and the controls were horrid. Not to mention the story sucked and the dialouge was 90% swearwords and 10% useless drivel. Killzone 2 is by no means a "bad" game, but it's by no means one of the best FPS's ever, or even one of the best games ever.
